Great to know that the battery isn't so difficult to remove and replace. For anyone that still wants to keep their S24 Ultra for up to 10 years, definitely be worth it to replace the battery after 5 years of usage. With Samsung batteries, if done at a certified service center the pricing stays the same for years. Just last week the pricing increased across the board for repairs. Educational and detailed video, thank you PBKreviews. I'm watching this because the Sinjimoru Grip accessory i have for the S24 U failed and it caused my new phone to drop 5 feet on to asphalt (with rubber case and screen protector on) and it made me wonder if i could've damaged any parts inside. Do you think this kind of drop could damage any parts? Luckily there's no noticeable screen damage. i heard the most easily damaged part is the screen/camera lens, so if i can't see the damage, there is no "underlying" damages from these kind of drops if i'm correct.

You probably push too hard and smashed/crack the little silicon pad on the button, many phone have this to reduce the click noise, but unfortunately it will either get damage or rot itself over the years, until the button starts to shake and fell out You have warranty, just send for replacement or wait till it almost end then send for repair and get a new screen + frame + battery (my local service centre replace the battery previously) CS: your battery very weak right? Me: yeah very weak
yes, It's not available online to purchase yet, but eventually the adhesive for the back cover will become available on ebay and other places. Also it's not paint, its a laminate later than can be peeled off by hand. Thank you :)
Would you say the parts inside the phone are pretty durable and are well secured inside the phone? For example if you dropped the phone or the phone was shaken rigorously it wouldnt affect the internal parts/moving parts like camera lenses/optical image stabilisation sensors etc? You'd have a better idea since you open these phones up and look inside 😊 Just asking out of interest. S24Ultra owner here.
Great work. Really loving the videos. If I'm gathering correctly, a new screen replacement can be done without special parts (e.g. the S23 Ultra)? I ran into an issue where my US purchased S23 Ultra was unable to be repaired in another country, as the screen also included the antennas and could not be purchased in that country at all. This looks like a significant redesign from previous.
I don't see why the S23 ultra can't be repaired, all the screens are the same, unless you are getting a screen with frame combo, which yeah some frames may or may not have the mmwave antenna. But still you can always order the correct part to replace. Thanks :)

12:21 omg omg you a life saver!!! I accidentally punched the mic instead of the sim card hole... i was so worried! You are a cyber angel!
👍
Very well done component teardown :) Thank you so much!

Thank you
Educational and detailed video, thank you PBKreviews.
No you should be fine, there shouldn't be any internal damage. They are built to handle drops.
Hey nice vid, is the power button removable? I mean if i remove it would it still be working the same? I feel like mine got some dust stuck within it so it feels kinda mushy, want to try and remove it to clean
You probably push too hard and smashed/crack the little silicon pad on the button, many phone have this to reduce the click noise, but unfortunately it will either get damage or rot itself over the years, until the button starts to shake and fell out
You have warranty, just send for replacement or wait till it almost end then send for repair and get a new screen + frame + battery (my local service centre replace the battery previously)
CS: your battery very weak right?
Me: yeah very weak
Since Zack and hugh are late this definitely does the job
Can you buy new adhesive? I'm asking because i would like to remove the back of the phone and strip the paint for a clear cover. Thanks, great video!
yes, It's not available online to purchase yet, but eventually the adhesive for the back cover will become available on ebay and other places. Also it's not paint, its a laminate later than can be peeled off by hand. Thank you :)
They continued to only use glue to attach the back to the device, but the back continued to fall apart
Thanks :)
Great video, also thank you for explaining the components.
Thank you, and you're welcome.
Waaw, greate Video Pro, I have Question please hope you have answer for it, sine I bought S24 ultra 2weeks ago, I have been experiencing signal strength low reading even I in area where cellular coverage is very good, the it ranges for - 80dbm till - 90dBm, comparing with older phone but with better readings - 50dBm.
Does this cause from bad antenna from Samsung, or my phone ANTENNA is bad defacto issue, what are Samsung signal strength stander reading.
Please accept my request and thanks allot for your amazing videos Sir
Incredible piece of technology!!
👍
A great video. Samsung has great build quality.
Thank you
PBK my favorite teardown channel!
😀👍
I appreciate you for your sacrificing your phone👍
👍
Thank you, i was looking the video because i was wondering if i damaged the microphone due to putting the sim ejector tool on the mic, i'm glad to know that it's fine.
Thank you very much.
You're welcome :)
Excellent teardown!!! thank you so much for this video
Glad you liked it!
Thank you!
What is the name of the main camera sensor?
Oh jeje, tanks I was worry about to pinch the microphone, thanks for the info =)
I have the exact same device, with the exact same colour, 512GB of storage, 12GB of RAM.
Which version has these 5G antenas?
The ones sold in the US have the mmWave antenna.
I think it doesn't matter with the storage options. It depends on what country it was distributed
Do you have a table with all teardown scores?
Great video! saving this for years down the line when i need to change out the charger port or the battery from normal wear
Thanks!
As a Jp, I can only praise your courageous actions🎉

Amazing guy! I have a S23ULTRA, I've always been curious to know what it's like inside and in this incredible video you show everything, that's an incredible video! Excellent even for sharing! 👏👏💎
Thanks :)
Is cooling perform well ?
havent tested cooling on it
Which looks like a gray magnesium structural frame is all one piece of titanium or just the outer edge is titanium?
The thing I don't like about the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the way the fingerprint scanner is embedded, just doesn't seem as professional, and kinda, in my perspective, it kinda looks rushed and cheep. But, I love the Samsung galaxy S24 ultra, my best favorite phone and dammit the fingerprint scanner is damm good!!!
This man I can trust to repair my phone... He's damn good
👍🙂
@@PBKreviews keep it up...u r doing great thing
Thank you for making this awesome video!
You're welcome
hello@PBKreviews could you confirm after taking apart the phone that without the sim tray inserted, or fully inserted that the phone is still IP68 capable? Or would you conclude the sim tray is absolutely needs to be inserted properly to be IP68 qualifed
Wow, what a technology. What is all this and together it works. Insane times for people.. and little scary too.
World’s first teardown of this phone of the year, again, just like last year.
👍
