Samsung should've used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on this phone.
Good job with this chanel I can see parts of motherboard build quality in samsung galaxy A55 series
👍 thanks :)
Im curious about the samsung knox vault chip. Where is it?
Been doing a bit of digging. I've Googled the model number of the A55's battery (EB-BA256ABS), and it says that the A25 uses that battery.
But I've also noticed that in your Galaxy A25's teardown that your A25 uses (EB-BA546ABY) battery, which is the same battery that the A34 and 54 uses.
From that, I can conclude that the A25, A34, A54, and A55 uses the same battery, but they just have different SKUs. If you still have the the A25, A34, and A54 and can confirm the batteries between those models are interchangeable, then that would be nice.
Thanks for uploading this video, I've been waiting for a while now lit of curiosity.
Hi, I don't have those other phones to check, but if the battery model is the same should work. As long as battery model is the same, location of connector and connector type then should be no problem.
@@PBKreviews the connectors seems to look the same. If this works, then it's a huge win in terms of repairability.
I mean, there's no excuse for manufacturer to not make a single battery for all of their devices. They're all uses the same capacity nowadays (at 5,000mAh).
Yup, only thing that would be a reason would be if they changed the type of tech the battery uses. But if its the same model should be same tech.
It takes me back to the days of removable batteries where multiple Samsung and LG models share the exact same battery, at least with their respective brands.

Nicely done! 😊
Thanks! 😊
Nice video. Thanks

A pull tab on Samsung battery? Interesting. Haven't seen it for quite awhile. 😄 Thank you for the video. Keep up the good work! 👍🏻
Yup, they are required to implement it for repairability now due to EU regulations etc. You're welcome and thank you!
started with A14 iirc
Every samsung device from 2023 and onwards has pull tabs
Samsung should've used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on this phone.
@@Subhasis44597 nah that's too expensive, 8g2 is more fit for s24fe. They should have used better ARM cores for E1480 instead of old A78 and A55
Looks like flagship from inside. Good quality materials samsung 👌
👍
naah .. all phone nowadays use chinese capacitor.
How do you know the quality by watching a video? The sub board for example is very thin..
Very interesting to see Samsung put priority on the audio and stereo imaging within this phone. I'm happy to see that, I just ordered this phone ($698 AUD) and audio quality is important to me. My 2.5 year old Galaxy A22 5G ($347 AUD) originally came with an equalizer, but the next system 'update' removed the EQ interface! (WTF Samsung?!) Fortunately the eq settings remained in place and enabled, so I still had decent sound (yeah, A22 5G had very poor sound otherwise). Though I see the A55 5G setup has the EQ slider interface available again! That's a selling point for me plus the screen (A22 5G screen is very ordinary).
But the A22 5G has been almost perfect for my needs at half the price of the A55 5G and still works perfectly. one battery replacement at 12 months, due to 100% recharging ... yeah, don't do that. So the A55 5G will be a replacement, then that old A22 5G will be a perfectly viable backup. Can't take the risk of not having a working phone these days, which was the only reason I'm replacing it.
Very interesting hardware insights in your video, glad I've chosen the the A-55 5G for the next few years - cheers!
I enjoyed this, thanks. Hopefully i get this phone soon.
You're welcome :)
Just bought one, love it 💯

Wow samsung A55 5G amazing ❤ is my phone😘 🔥🔥🔥 menyala abang kyuu

I just bought this phone, and the next sensible thing to do now is to SAVE THIS reference video!
Does the POCO X6 PRO have protection against inserting the injection key from the sim drawer like the POCO F5 and Galaxy A55?
I have a tiny dent at the bottom left corner of the A55 frame. What is the best way to repair it?
superb sir..... thanks
you're welcome 👍
Thx for video
you're welcome
Yoo I like this kind of videos, most people reviewed the phone by spec but not on the inside (literally)
I think we need a bit explanation about how you score it like what part would be challenging to repair, which part will most likely be damaged first, is it overall a good build, is it generally similar to other phones or even the previous series, that would be interesting to hear from you
I love the video!
Thanks! I provide the chart towards the end of the video before re-assembling to break it down. Higher score= easier and more repairable. If a section scores low it either means its hard to access and more difficult to replace those parts which fall in that area, or parts are harder to find etc. If I can, I will be more thorough.
Thank you bro. Please us further by dismantling many smartphones.
Thank you, will do :)
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
Thanks for the video. I had accidentally put the SIM tray pin in the two holes mentioned in the video and was worried shit about any damages done. Thanks again for clearing that doubt.
4:07 They added something new to the board compared to the A54, that part above the bottom shielding didn't have anything on it, but now they put something there. And by the looks of it (having shielding and all) seems important, what is it?
It's nothing, if you look at the other side of the board its hollow open, its where the earpiece speaker lays or sits in.
All that space and we lost the 3.5mm jack for nothing. Ultra usefull when to connect it to a mixer, i guess i remain on the a52s and then change brand to one with the jack (few)
what's camera sensor used in this phone? i heard imx 906??
Dude, I have a curious question :)
We always see in your videos, You removed the thermal paste/some time heat sink as well. But We know that if we remove the phone's thermal paste or heat transfer paper, there will be a bad impact (Performance drop/overheating etc.) when we use the phone later. My question is what do you actually do with those phones?
I reapply the thermal paste. As for the graphite film, as long as its not damaged beyond the point of it being effective, its still usable.

Thank you :)
Thanks for the video please can you help me which one i should buy now between a54 or a55
I would go with the A55

Good 🎉
I am waiting for this video 😅. I want to buy in future
👍
4:33 The proximity sensor, really? I thought there would only be a virtual one, not a physical one. Thanks for the breakdown, very useful video! 😁👍
I may have mistaken the ambient light sensor for the proximity sensor. 😅 They look similar sometimes when they are small. I believe it its only virtual one.
@@PBKreviews No problem! Thank you for the reply!
You're welcome :)
i just bought it and you just opened it!
:)
There's absolutely a space there in bottom left for headphone jack. No excuse for samsung to not include that
Thanks
Welcome
when disassembling any phone ,they all look alike from inside , many similar parts same assembly .
Omg 😍😍😍
Virtual proximity sensor again, come on Samsung. Nice work, btw.
Thank you :)
How the Exynos 1480 works in this smartphone? Does it overheat and throttle? The benchmarks say, that Exynos 1480 on Galaxy A55 is stronger than SD 7 Gen 1 on Galaxy M55.
Is the camera flex cable welded to the PCB?
nope, they can be disconnected from the board.
Good❤
👍
Thanks brother. After seeing your video, I will buy this phone.
How about frame? It uses platic or aluminium?
You're welcome. It has a metal border frame bonded to a plastic layer which is bonded to an aluminum alloy midframe. So its not a solid one piece metal.
@@PBKreviews thanks for explanation. I bought a55 5g this morning.
Very good
👍
Nice
👍 :)
Is FPC connector got better or worse? My friend has a52s and connector died
I have an A52 LTE and the connector also died (very common problem in the whole A52 line up), I was told that it was mainly due to the flimsy plastic back, so I hope it isn't an issue with the glass back
please teardown infinix zero 30 4g......show us if the machine is the same.!!!
Both the Galaxy A55 5G and A35 5G come equipped with a 1.7 times larger vapor cooling chamber but i dont really see any of that, is it sandwich between the screen and the circuit board?
what do you mean, its shown in the video once the battery is pried off. Yes a part of it runs underneath in between the screen and frame, and if you compare it to the A54, you will see its much larger.
Watching this on the A55🔥🔥
👍
Best MicroSD model🏆
Неплохой аппарат, хотя рамки вокруг дисплея и Exynos это серьёзные недостатки.
Yup, I did use my sim ejector at the wrong hole 😅 06:32 is great, I hope there is no green line for A55
:)
Idk why I'm watching this while my A55 is on the way, but an interesting video nonetheless!
👍
can you do a35 next?
"scratches at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7"
Is it possible to replace macro with telephoto lens and install it to work?
No
@@danielgonzalez75598why not ?
There would be connector differences as well as software conflicts.

Tecno pova 6 pro teardown needed 😊
why the glass backplate bends? is it plastic instead?
no, same as glass screen protector. Its thin so has some flex.
many do not know, but glass not solid, but amorphous solid. so it has attributes of liquids as well.
f.e. window glasses over the year get thinner at the top and thicker at the bottom, because it flows. very very slow, but it does.
Bro its seems to me s24 as i know the side buttons of a55 has key island. But in your vedio the side volumes abr power button was flat
the A55 does have a raised frame by the buttons. Look closer you will see it.
Yes, even I thought its flat but after keenly looking for few times, i see the raised part
damn ...such an elastic glass these phones have today on the back....😏
:)
I'm a little bit confused; the device specs refer to as "virtual proximity sensor" but in the video it is clearly seen and as you mention that there is physical proximity sensor...
I might have mistaken the ambient light sensor and said proximity sensor.
Overall structure pretty much like older A52
7:40 the vapor chamber on Galaxy A55 are WAYYYYY bigger compared to the Galaxy A54
👍
❤❤❤❤ nice video
Thank you

Even i as a phone repair noob could disassemble and assemble that with toolset i already have at home.
Glad that i picked a repairable phone.
Just wanted to make sure, while i still have right to send it back. seems like ill keep it.

👍
First time to see. The A series from samsung have very premium internals since long
Thats whtvthe A55 weighs around 213 g.
Ifbit wasn t tagged A55 anyone would think thats its a S series phone
👍
What do you think should I get a55 or s23fe
Depends on what you need it for. The S23fe has a better processor as well as a telephoto camera, but aside from that, all other aspects on the A55 spec wise are better. Larger screen, larger battery, better screen glass protection (victus+ vs gorilla glass 5) and a better selfie camera.
@@PBKreviews thanks 😊
@@PBKreviews Useful info. Thank you.
Стоп, там линейный вибромотор стоит, как во флагманах? Это впервые в А серии! 😮

Next samsung a35 teardown please ❤
identical to the A55. Same teardown just has different cameras n processor so it would be like tearing down the same phone.
Can you make a video on M55 also??
yes will be uploaded in a few days
❤❤❤
This one is almost identical to s23fe
Most of the inside parts are in the same place, and even the same shape . Vibration engine, vapor chamber. Fp reader and
..
It is fairly similar, thus the reason it won't be sold in the US since the price doesn't make sense when the S23FE is available. So samsung will only sell the A35 in the US from what they stated.
Please also do teardown of Xiaomi 14 & 14 Ultra.
Hi, its been done by someone already so It's not something I currently have planned to do. Not worth the investment when not many people will watch.
@@PBKreviews Ohh. But you can do for Xiaomi 14 because I only found one video right now which is in a different language not a proper teardown that we see.
If possible please do it.
I will look into it but not sure if I will for sure to do or not yet. :)
I just bought this phone on launch day of A55 replacing my 7yrs old phone J7 pro
👍
Good to see it has huge vapor chamber and graphite sheet sandwiching the battery.
Though looking at the frame, it looks like aluminum frame is fused by 3mm thick plastic. If only samsung trim it and make A55 a bit smaller instead.
👍
