I just figured out why i really love your teardown videos..... Your videos are informative, and to the point, without the unnecessary commentary and cheap shots at humor. I feel like my phone is getting hot, next to my underwear, even when I've even got all the apps (supposedly) closed. The battery drains faster than my note 10+, AND the mandatory 5G (per Verizon model instead of Samsung direct) isn't even faster than 4G, in a very metropolitan area.
Great tear down.. I was cleaning my Display on my Note 10+ out in the sunlight yesterday & I could see the gold looking fingerprint sensor under the display perfectly in the light.. I was like, wow 😳

Yeah, it's honestly quite nice that they don't solder the sim tray to the mainboard anymore as I saw many techs fuck that simple step up as it's an easy brain fart.

At 00:42 you have the backplate in your hands. I'm wondering what the white stickers are. NOT the adhesive around the panel, but the one that sits above the spen slot, and below the camera.
Gush, that back microphone which records sound through the tini gaps between the camera rings is just mind blowing, this is the highest level of engineering that you could ever imagine, even despite the fact that the device feels cheap
I didn't see a vibration motor in the main housing, but it looks like the incorporated it into the lower speaker bracket based on the two additional contacts. It makes sense since they needed to make room for that stylus.
I'm curious how much it'll cost to replace the screen if it was cracked? It's hard to find a proper tempered glass screen protector for this phone. Hopefully one comes out soon.

I am now using a Note 9 which i believed, at that time, was the first phone ever to have ois on both camera lens.
I have a problem with my phone after a screen replacement. it will not detect that the S Pen is inserted. Inside the S Pen enclosure, is that white component the trigger switch to alert the phone that the pen is in the phone? That's how the note series was but I don't see how the trigger would be connected. You mentioned 2 cables related to the S Pen. Maybe the tech didn't plug one back in assuming the white piece is a trigger switch. Thank you.

Ya it has a rubberized glue they use for keeping it water resistant. You can still heat it up and pry it off but there is a good chance the existing camera will get damaged so if your replacing it, there are no worries 😀

Verizon is TECHNICALLY unlocked but you still get a ROM that has preloaded Verizon apps you can't uninstall but can disable in make non-visible; that said it can be a bit of a pain in the ass to get all your proper settings applied if you have non-Verizon software but not impossible. As 5mm wave is included with unlocked, might be best to go unlocked for resale value.

I pushed little bit harder and I think I moved something, but mic is working. Can you tell me did I move rubber seal or actual mic, as I can not zoom enough when you removed bottom mic plate. Basically can you tell me in what my sim needle hit in that mic hole :) Thank you!
Your fine. There's nothing you can damage by accidentally inserting the sim removal tool into the wrong hole. Phone manufacturers have pretty much made these phones nowadays idiot proof.

It's quite nice: S20 Ultra was mostly fine for me for the scanner but this thing is buttery smooth

Usually I sell them locally as disassembled and as is devices or on ebay etc to recoup costs for future videos.
