5:27: Exaxtly. I did that myself, lol. I had my S10+ disassembled for a battery replacement, and could not for the life of me remove it. Eventually, my tool slipped, and a spark erupted, and I smelled battery, but thankfully no fire. The phone was at around 5% when I started the repair. By the time I got it out, it was properly mangled. Installed the new battery, and it fired right up, no issues. Still works great two months later!
The adhesive is way too strong on their phones. It may be different on the newer ones, but on mine, it must be made of adamantium for how strong it is.
Transparent tech is underrated. I miss the old days of the transparent gameboys or game controllers you could get. Ill be getting an s24 Ultra soon and i wonder if i can can a local repair shop to do this mod for it. It looks cool as hell!
@nonstopbg then don't buy the transparent version. Companies used to do it in the 80s, 90s and early 00s it was all the rage. And clearly enough people want it to have a separate and probably cheaper transparent version.
Its not fair to compare to pc bcuz its have individual thing like cpu ram etc.. compare them to laptop with solder ram and storage.. for example macbook..
@@poliwharaslah965Сравнивать можно. Так как в телефоне и в ноутбуке, используются одинаковые по типу компоненты (MB, CPU, GPU, RAM, Flash memory or SSD or HDD). Given its size yes. However we're comparing apples to oranges here given two fundamentally different requirements. Also the fact everything on that tiny motherboard gets thrown away when one tiny 2 cent part dies makes it all kinda pointless don't you think? PC's have been notoriously resilient for that reason.
Something thats gonna stop me from getting a transparent mod aince the laywr of paint will keep the glass together if it cracks but pther than that its really cool
The big improvement for the s24 ultra is the CPU. It really is a huge improvement over the s23 ultra. With that said the s23 ultra is no slouch when it comes to CPU performance. I went ahead and got my s24 ultra just for the 1tb model, my s23 ultra only had 512gb.
I think now is much weaker since it was that sticker holding the back glass. Now, when it breaks, it will not just shutter but also pieces from the back glass will fall out.
Always interesting to see the phone breakdowns. As someone who used the S23 Ultra daily, the S24 Ultra is a pretty big upgrade. The flat screen itself is so much nicer to use on this phablet of a phone. With the S23 Ulta I'd get the odd mis hit on the edge of the phone and the side gestures weren't great with the curved screen inside my case....mainly because the cases for the S23 Ultra were raised higher on the sides in a feable attempt to protect the curved screen which made using the edge very difficult. The reduction on reflections is pretty incredible and I notice it throughout the day. Another pretty huge upgrade is the stereo speakers. Watched a few movie trailers at 80% volume and was actually impressed the sound was coming from a smartphone....about time Samsung. I'm liking the curved, titanium sides which are nice and comfortable to hold. The tighter bezels and especially them finally getting rid of the lower chin bezel, was much appreciated. I'm waiting for my case pre-order to arrive, but it's going to fit much better and actually protect the sides of the screen this year. We'll also finally be able to use glass screen protectors which were impossible to use with the curved screens. The improved 2600 nit screens are super noticeable when viewing outside it's unreal. I'm quite impressed with the improvement in battery life which was already quite good with the S23 Ultra plus they gave us a 30% bump in raw performance, no small feat. Cameras seem to be nothing short of what I expect from Samsung at this point and when testing the 100 times zoom, the clarity is actually better with the 50mp camera....which is great because I also was worried about the perceived downgrade. Not to worry. All in all, great phone and solid upgrade depending on your budget. I was able to get $1100 CDN for my trade and early registration credit plus I got the 2 year Samsung + warranty for half price....something I think everyone should spring for on such an expensive phone.
I also was excited about tempered glass protectors but I hear a lot of people saying that the glass completely negates the anti reflectiveness of the phone? :/ that was such a cool feature and sucks if that's the case
@L33TTechReviewer decided not to install a screen protector as I really like the anti reflection technology and didn't want to lose that feature. I have a high quality case and I'm pretty careful with my phone so I should be fine.
You made a remark that I don't hear quite a lot and that is very true, the screen protectors for the curved devices suck. If it has enough glue to adhere well all around it will not work with the fingerprint scanner. It's a very thin line between having enough glue to adhere and not too much so it does work with the fingerprint scanner.
The camera deco needs new adhesive its not water resistant anymore. Tweezers should also be used for the black plastic parts and you lift at the disassembly points that are marked on it. Use of a guitar pick like tool is recommended for disconnecting the fpc connectors. Other than that its a cool mod that I don't recommend doing unless you have an AOD and proper replacement adhesive.
As someone who uses an AOD jig to fix Samsung phones, I call witchcraft on this video because that backglass came off too. How many times did you run the jig to make the backglass come off like that? I assume the magic of editing was used because ever since the S20 series the adhesive has been super strong and they never come off that easy. Great video by the way.
Hopefully a flat display means that it's easier for repair shops to get replacements I've needed a same day fix for my screen for almost a year now & all the repair shops in Omaha haven't gotten new screens for the Ultra in 6 months.
I'm just here for the tech, wasn't prepared for real laugh out loud moments with the 'sucky sucky 3000', and the 'who authorised that'. Thank you for that!
I love this channel and would Absolutely buy a transparent edition! I'm disappointed that the edges are still slightly rounded. I've been searching for Glass Screen Protectors, but they only cover the display area, not the whole bezel. Missed opportunity, Samsung! I hope I will find a good fitting Glass Screen Protector I pre ordered oone! I Love the S-Pen!
I’ve seen 2019 Oppo phones use the similar pull tab concept (atleast in the midrangers) and i just think they could do better. If done wrong you could risk bending the battery itself which is bad. I find the iPhone pull tab better if they could make it stronger and harder to break.

I wouldn't. It doesn't appeal to everyone.

Sorry, but that too "customizable" for Apple and could be a security risk. 😂
I dont know how they make this rear glass, but adding or removing anything else from the mass production line would be extra cost for the manufacturer
@@kaandurucan9955 it would be cheaper because they don't have to apply the color.

I accidently pushed the sim card ejector into the mic port aswell, the phone was absolutely fine. Strange design choice though from Samsung.
Well you will never do it again.
It looked insane! Well done!
You should honestly try to use the s24 ultra as your main phone. Id love to see you use it
I love the new design, a flat screen is definitely more versatile
yeah, they look better, cost less to produce, and now with how strong phone glass is, a nice plastic screen protector actually sticks to the screen

Crazy how they labeled it so phone repair shops know how to pull the battery out if ever it needs to be replaced very good
