    Korg marketing: "Korg spent years refining all our digital, analog, processing, and hardware technologies and delivering them in a way that helps the musician connect with their instrument". Users: "Does it have aftertouch?". Korg: "No". Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear.

    This doesn't look like a MODX killer (because of price) but would really do well as an additional keyboard (or your first workstation) in your setup.

    • @truthmanifestingtruth
      @truthmanifestingtruth 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah they compliment each other. Just like the Montage didn’t kill the Kronos. My software rig (Mac & iOS) rules them all though. Yet, these hardware solutions can still be fun.

      I don't think it's going to replace the Krome. A Nautilus 61 is about 300 pounds less than a Kronos 61 (according to PMT Online who are currently the only that have a price for it). I think they might push Krome for those who don't want complicated stuff, just a keyboard with good sounds, and if you want more, you can get this. For comparison, a MODX8 is 700 pounds less than this. Interesting.

    is this a simplified version of Kronos ?

    • @jordanking7711
      @jordanking7711 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, pretty much. It's a more streamlined version of the Kronos, considering there are fewer 'physical' controls (I believe some or most of them are touchscreen based). The only exception is that it's missing KARMA that was on the Kronos. And no aftertouch.

    Not hating, but korg could've done better, in terms of build and flexibility in using the keyboard's knobs and faders, solely depending on touch screen is rather a RISKY move, look at what yamaha did to the modx, it has knobs, faders and buttons to help so we don't have to pressure the touch screen everytime, can't believe korg sacrifice the kronos for this.🤦🤦🤦

  • @jordanking7711
    @jordanking7711 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    No offence intended but it doesn't change the fact that you lied Korg. Because you originally said that the Kronos wasn't going anywhere anytime soon, and the Nautilus was just going to be another 'option' for those wanting a more streamlined keyboard, and now I hear that you have discontinued the Kronos.

    Why such a bad resistive touch screen Korg? It was painful to watch loopop struggle with it in his demo video. You took away physical controls and put in a touch screen from over a decade ago? What on earth is the thought process here? This instrument is pretty much unusable the way it stands. A real shame, since so many people were looking forward to this.

    The step sequencer looks alright although the Effects still are needing some graphics like sliders or nobs like pedals rather than just pages with numbers come on developers your on your way to develop something pretty decent although still a lot of work needs to go into the magic of the pluck guitars have always sucked on workatstions and bagpipes urm nope they arent realistic at all

    Wonky and confusing interface, would slow down too much a contemporary DAW production pipeline. These small gameboy screens look really bad in comparison to what we’re used to in everyday life. A bad music app would have a better interface than these keyboards. I think they should migrate all of these to a mobile device that you put on the keyboard.

      For live performances maybe it’s ok (even though I’d still make my set in ableton or mainstage). Have you used Kontakt? I think you’ll really like it. It’s a great tool that combines live performance possibilities with a seamless production flow.

    Let me tell you how stupid this Nautilus is. I am a Kronos 88 owner. It came with a damn near unplayable RH3 keybed that keeps me from playing it for more than an hour without my hands literally aching. Korg realized there mistake..... so much so....... that they came out with an identical Kronos with a keybed that doesnt kill your hands....the LS. So.... this stupid Nautilus 88 comes with the dipshit RH3 keybed and cost only 700usd less than a much more advanced kronos and if you get the LS then it is only 500 bucks less. Anyone buying this keyboard is an idiot. Just pay a bit more and get the LS .
