Doctor Mix is there anyway to get sound patches or Yamaha DX5 software sounds to use on my keyboard? I don't have a Yamaha and I'm using it as a midi controller.
Doctor Mix, thank you for this demonstration. Would you ease make a video by playing this soundtrack song from the Alien (1979) film with Sigourney Weaver: "The Landing m.th-cam.com/video/AcTK6YruZ2w/w-d-xo.html "? Thanks
Claudio, you are a wonderful musician. You can move from Jazz, to Funk, to Pop to Barok, and so on with such a facility and art that every time i am stunned and fascinated! Thank you for the marvelous videos and compliments for the new Studio!! Christian
In the Netherlands, it is Barok. Derived from Barock, which is German and probably old Dutch too. A lot of composers were French, but same you can say for German and Italian composers. Since we also had some Dutch composers we're entitled to call it Barok in our own language.
I bought one, and I must say, it is quite remarkable. The weight of the keys feels substantial, and the quality of the sounds and construction are truly impressive. I am thoroughly enjoying it. And i loaded it with samples.
DOCTOR MIX what can I say I just got this a month ago and its awesome after owning Nord stage 2 ex and Fantom G7 . Well inspiring as DM very creatively demonstrates what can be done Love his style and passion keep it up DM.
I love how versatile you are at changing from one style to the next so cleverly and you have shown your very skilled at playing loving the different styles that you are displaying on here. Very inspirational best wishes enjoy.
it's a kind of simpler to Kronos , Korg are doing interesting things , I had a long chat with their sales team & there are good things going on. Sales, Refurbished items on their online store at good prices . Picked up a refurbed D1 piano over £100 cheaper than RRP & it's as new . Some years back I had a triton le fitted with new keybed & they got all the bumps n bruises out of the chassis, plus , it came back like a new synth. I love Korg ... but you sold me on a Yamaha reface YC few days ago. so thanks Doc , keep 'em coming.
Glad Dr.Mix is having a good time. I'm getting a little tired of these workstation keyboards- unless they have something really unique about them they always get out classed by software sample libraries; all of these sounds can be found in boards 5 to 10 years older (and probably have better build quality). If they can bring joy to someone that's great but not for me.
"This is going to be the longest video on the planet". Yeah but this is the kind of videos we like! Improvising on a good keyboard, this is what drags me to this channel! And building the studio, of course :))
as usual, you have delighted us with your unbridled enthusiasm and love of music, while at the same time, displaying your obvious well rounded skills at all sorts of genre...Claudio, you never disappoint!!
Awesome video Claudio!! I am amazed at your musical ability! I have been a Korg fan for many years and own a Kronos 76 which has been my staple performing instrument on stage and in my studio. This new Nautilus sounds like it has a lot of the great sounds the Kronos has plus many new arrangers/sequences. Thank you for posting this video and congratulations again on the new studio!
I have a few korg mini rack systems and this sounds close to korgs classic presets in a new workstation. This new keyboard is a lovely piece of kit for covering all those iconic 70s through to 90s classics.
I don't talk either when I hear such a good player !!! (I cry for not having learnt piano when I was young.. but I was 5 and I could not trust that teacher with horrible long nails torturing me with her pen making 'the little train' pass under my hand forming bridge 😂)
🇬🇧 Played your video to see your take on the Nautilus, and wow, you are SO talented a keyboard player. Thank you for a very entertaining and informative video!
The Nautilus seems to be a vintage workstation: More than 2000€ /£/$ and no aftertouch. Back to the late 80s with a synth without aftertouch at the price of a 2dn hand car. And made in China.
@@mruppel2 Yes I totaly agree. And that's why they're supposed to be cheap and why I don't understand this price for such a barebones keyboard in this workstation.
I like way how you make the unboxing fun and exciting, like a little kid at Christmas. Haha and the demo playing is awesome and inspiring my dude! Thank you for that. 🙏👍🏼👌🏼🤙🏽
@@filtafacta I know Nautilus great track . It just sounded like the intro to rotary connection “I am the black gold of the sun” which Dr mix has said is his favourite song. However with the few erroneous notes I have to misquote it. 😂Haha. Thanks. All the best
Until this video, I never realized how John Legend's "Ordinary People" sounds so much like "My Cherie Amour." Nice playing! That's a nice board. It does so much, I'd need to take a college course to figure out how to use it.
It is apparent that I have been away from synths WAY too long! Way back when, I used to entertain myself with a friend's Poly-800 and we both drooled over the DW-6000 that was set up at the local music shop. Kind of boggling that I wound up with a Roland Alpha Juno-1, haha! Anyway, one interesting feature that I noticed about the Nautilus in another video is that an existing sustain will continue playing out when you switch to a new patch; it's not like the old days where any sounds were immediately cut off as soon as you changed to a different patch.
It has no aftertouch and no keyboard tbh will ever sound as Kronos because that keyboard is probably the only that has the SSD in it. But the nautilus sounds good for pure PCM. And no aftertouch, that sounds really great. It could be compared to montage and the new fantom.
@@daeone1514 The Nautilus has an SSD. It also has quite a number of sounds directly from the Kronos. @@daeone1514 OMFG get tf over it. Karma is one of the most powerful pieces of kit to ever grace a workstation. So no, it's not a 'pos' whatsoever. I actually just had an a-list artist ask me to rig 2 triton ex boards for a performance in front of some 20, 000 people. That board is VASTLY older than Kronos. It worked fine. Nautilus has a completely different interface style. You may like, you may not. Use whichever and leave people to their business. Insulting each other over a preferred method is childish and asinine.
