Good to see a machine where the ports are clearly labelled (except for HDMI) to sow which generation they are. 2 different colours for the Gen 2 10G ports. Now all I have to do is travel to the USA to get some of those dollar thingy's to get one. Is it worth the price? I'm not really sure as there are quit a few of the more powerful min PC's around the grand mark right now. I did like the thought processes that went into the easy access to internals and things like the M.2 no screw fixing solution. I do like the look of Waydroid.
Many thanks. I guess this had been designed by intel before NUC was sold? I guess you have to align the plastic retainer parts (instead of screws) with the SSDs carefully so that they contact the heatsink?
Not really lol. They're supposed to be small and perform very well. The NUC line was never supposed to be affordable or entry-level. It has always been designed for businesses/hospitality & prosumers/enthusiasts. It has substantially more Bios features and management options than your typical or average mini PC.
If I can say anything positive on this video (except for the cat, cats are always a positive!) then it's looking at when your run desktop Linux on this device with its 16 (or however many) cores, it seems no more snappy or speedy than me running a very optimised Gentoo Linux on a 3rd or 4th generation Core i5 or i7 SFF PC that cost me no more than £70 (by the time I've thrown in an SSD) used from our favourite auction site. I can't comment on "Fortnite" because I don't play any "games as a service" after 2010 and, as you are well aware, I don't use Windows, which will probably steal whatever cores and RAM you give to it anyway just to suck off all of your personal data and phone it home to Microsoft a bit quicker. Cute cats though (as per their baskets by the window from your video with the "AI" (="probability engine") camera) - are they still kittens? And did the cat only interfere when you were running Windows, because it might be trying to tell you something?

The screw is a ground for external peripherals.
I thought they stopped selling Nuc. I have 2 Intel ones but maybe Asus took it over? Shocked to see it can run Fortnight on integrated graphics. nice!
What're the max graphic resolutions?
Not 5k?
Thanks for review, how long has this been out for sale? Last gen CPU right now with Lunar Lake coming soon?
@@televerket ETA prime reviewed it 4 months ago
They released it today (15th Gen) I think ?!
Very cool little PC. Wish i has the extra cash to buy one 👍
that's what credit is for .
If eating three-egg omelets causes weight-gain, budgie eggs are a good substitute.
At that price, it's getting into Apple M4 Mac Mini territory. These things are supposed to be cheap.

"cheap" NUC computers are usually 600-1.2k whenever I see them
The M4 Mac Mini with the same
Specs is also over $1K. 1TB storage on the Mac Mini is an extra $400, 32GB RAM is an extra $200.
Your Kittens are soooo cute 😻😻

As son I saw the price completely lost any interest on the video, good luck with that.
