Nah, there's just going to be alot of people not going into Manhattan, which is the whole point of this measure. Manhattan is a club, and if you can't pay the daily entrance fee then you're not allowed. Feel free to use the subway for free though, they don't prosecute fare evaders down there, just don't get thrown onto the tracks, set on fire, stabbed, or shot.
To my fellow New Yorkers don't hold your breath waiting for the subways to improve. Remember the Metropolitan commuter transportation mobility tax was to improve transit and it did nothing. The MTA is the new mob.
I keep saying mta has claimed it doesn’t have money for decades , then they scapegoat subway riders. Mostly because the mta is a public benefit corporation , where the public doesn’t benefit, just the shareholders.
For my fellow New Yorkers who needs to drive this zone occasionally, avoid as much as possible. Let’s boycott this zone and one who needs to visit this zone occasionally, I suggest cross this zone after 9pm day before your planned trip. It’s not about saving $6 bucks but about making a statement. Let’s not give a dime to these thugs through congestion pricing.
That’s literally what they want, less cars in the city during peak times to reduce traffic. This line of thinking means the plan will work. That’s the whole point of this.
@@ThreeDee912 my post refers to people who has to visit this zone occasionally. This tax will impact people who have no alternative or don’t find public transportation safe. NJ should’ve implemented tolls coming into NJ since the MTA thinks they are bigger than the people that work there. Charging riders as a scapegoat for their lackluster services is not fair to anyone. NJ trying to sue NY is going to do anything. If you charge new yorkers to come into nj maybe they would reconsider “congestion pricing “ and get rid of it altogether.

Andrew cuomo is to blame. He is the one that approved of it in the first place, he said"it is either congestion pricing or 30% fare hike". When you have wait at 34th St Penn station for nearly one 1 hour. Really Cuomo. You should pay tolls and yet approve of fines for people happing or evading the fare when there is always a delay more than half of the time Cuomo.
They make congestion pricing right, there whole plan is to change MTA , they have been trying to change MTA all their life , MTA still dangerous to take , there’s still crime that goes down on the Trains , busses , they get money from the Feds to have these big expansions to open more stations but instead say they are emplacing a toll to not only extort money from people barely trying to survive but to fix the subways ?? And NJ transit come on now makes no sense , there has to be a different meaning , mass migration out of nyc
