How does a $20 fee affect a delivery truck? That would be split among a dozen different customers receiving produce so basically $2-3 added to an order. Come on
Thousands of dollars worth of goods are dropped off each delivery. That is cents extra per item. The trade off is that your trucks don’t get stuck in traffic, and they get to their destinations much quicker. The insurance increase each year for the trucks will far outweigh a $22 toll a few times a day.
Dishonest reporting. The tolls they're showing are for PEAK HOURS, but as the Baldor rep stated, they're delivering at night during OFF PEAK hours which charges small trucks less than $4 and less than $6 for large trucks. Dividing that cost among the hundreds of pounds of food each truck delivers would amount to fractions of a penny increases in prices. On top of that, the reduction in congestion will easily outweigh the added costs associated with the fare. The biggest cost of operating a food delivery truck is the driver. The less time that driver spends in traffic, the more money the delivery company saves.

Wow it's almost like we've been saying this is a mess waiting to happen and you know it's going to happen they're going to keep raising prices around the board and say oh it's to make up for the budget deficit and also to make sure that everyone can get paid a fair wage even though this wouldn't be a problem if they thought of something else rather than congestion pricing. For those not in the know congestion pricing only affects working class in New Yorkers it doesn't affect the people who are primarily in control Yes they still have to pay the same tolls and whatnot but it isn't as detrimental to their overall budget. Here's an example congestion pricing itself if you work in the city cost as much as as much if not more than filling up a full tank of gas.
Everything within the pricing zone is going to be more expensive. The trucks are gonna pass. The cost to the stores and restaurants and the stores are gonna pass it on to the customers.

I love how this hasn’t even been implemented for a week yet, and people are a,ready complaining about the price increase on things. You get what you vote for I guess
No effect so far... yeah, commuters have only paid out $9.00 so far. Day after day = $2500.00 per year. good luck.
I the price of food goes to the moon in the congestion zone for those who supported it.
Welp, no more ordering uber from restaurants outside the boundary. It could be 10mins over the bridge and drivers wont take it due to this new pricing. Get ready for all deliveries to go up...
THAT IS A LIE! VEHICLE PAY ONLY ONCE PER DAY, NOT GOING IN AND OUT MULTIPLE TIMES. AND OVERNIGHT FEE IS ONLY $2.25 PER CAR AND LITTLE MORE FOR SMALL RUCKS. HE IS A GREEDY LIAR.
Hey Amazon. Stop free deliveries into Manhattan like PC Richard.
Just don't pay.
Oh and keep paying your road taxes😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just wait outside the boundery at peak hours there will be no congestion 😂😂😂😂
gonna come to a point where people are going to have to leave nyc
