if possible, find a white rubber band or white spray can 😁. if you also still have usb-a type xbox controller, you can use pliers to squash the connector on the charger cable port that plugs into controller. squeeze port connector slowly till the port becomes slightly round. that should make male connector round and snug and won't be loose or lose charge. don't try this with usb c controller because the port won't fit in controller port if shape is altered. if that sounds scary to do, get a controller at best buy and ask if best buy plus yearly service has coverage for xbox controller's if damaged?

I had the exact same issue with the exact same trigger I threw my controller and the trigger messed up. the cause of it is there’s two connections to a rod one of them broke off that’s pretty much what happened to my controller I just had to take it apart and ya. If u need more help just reply to this message. But I just glued it back on
Honestly I'ma just ask my parents to spend extra money on rechargable batteries it would be better in the long run too so they wouldn't have to keep buying batteries every week

If im honest you should get a rechargeable battery for the controller. Mine is firefox. It really helps a lot to have it
