Mine rubble when you plug them in, but the batteries never charge. Batteries ain't dead though, I can charge them fine in a separate charger.
I have the same problem but i don’t have separate charger 😢
@@teosnoni862 an unfortunately needed purchase I made. Batteries still drain WAY too fast on Xbox controllers. But at least we don't get drift after 2 months like joycons. (I'm so sick of having to buy replacement joysticks and repair them.)
Batteries wont charge internally in the controller, but battery packs will.
@@garyw7342 yeah. That's what I'm using. Battery packs. I'm just calling them batteries because that's also literally what they are. Not two individual double a rechargeable batteries, but legit authentic Xbox battery packs
Try folding up some paper towel and shoving it between the battery and the battery compartment door. I was having the same issue then it occurred to me that maybe the battery wasn't being held in place quite right. Tried this and now it's working like a charm.
trying to fix an issue i have where when i plug it in it will disconnect if moved or in the wrong position, i dont use batteries outright i just play with a cord
Theres an issue with the official charge and play kit where the battery isn't being held in place quite right. If you dont see a battery icon with the charge meter constantly cycling and its just an empty battery icon with a lighting bolt symbol at the top left of the empty battery icon, you may need to put something between your battery and the battery compartment door like a a lttle bit of folded up paper towel or something. Be carefull not to let the paper rest on the battery contacts.
Thank you! This fixed it for me. I was confused why the fck my battery pack is dead after 11 months of light use, while I still have working battery packs from Xbox One.
@05Cimbomlu05 Glad I was able to help.
the real help is in the comments. this video said nothing new.
can u do a tutorial how to do this?
This works! Simple as that. I would also recommend taping that small piece of paper / cardboard or whatever, to the compartment door for more stability.
@Moe-Gaming do you know how to fix WS-116129-0 content not found on Modern Warfare 2 PS5
When I put AA batteries in they just don’t work anyone know why? They are brand new batteries
it's 2023 and xbox still makes controllers with with these type of batteries
Cheaper controllers.
Yep, ps5 controllers still kind of cheap to.
At least Sony remotes flash while charging and stop when full to let you know.
Xbox cant even put a damn led light so you know when its charged. Basic ass shit... whatnis this '80s technology?!!i bought one for pc, and im gonna toss it on a roof.
Xbox is the bum console 🤣
You realize people prefer the battery's right? You can buy rechargeable packs a lot easier than opening the whole controller
Both mine just stopped charging at the same time idk if it’s a problem with an update or what, one battery is dead the other is at a full charge and neither will charge even after changing controllers, cables and power sources
Did u fix iy
So I got a series x last week, and the play and charge kit. The battery in the new controller stopped charging. I switch the battery to my old controller to see if it was the battery. The battery charges just fine in my old controller, so I assumed it was the controller being the issue. But I tested my old battery in the new controller and it charges just fine. Ive tested different cords and on the series S, all the same.
@@kurrupoppo6937I gave my nephew my old controller a few days ago I just bought a new controller and my battery charged just fine also on my old controller did u fix it?
I know it can’t be my controller or battery pack I even updated my controller…
@@patarfawk4502 it’s the battery itself sadly, they’re pretty subpar in quality from my personal experience
Try cleaning the contacts of the battery and the controller battery slot where the battery makes contact. I used a qtip damped with alcohol. Scrub the contacts with the damp side and then dry it by scrubbing with the dry side. That worked for me and my battery started charging again. Make sure everything is dry before turning it back on.
Is it normal for the Xbox Series X rechargeable battery to be completely empty when brand new? I had to charge it right away as soon as I got it.
One of my battery packs gets down to half charge and i cant turn the controller back on untill i recharge that battery pack. The other battery pack still lets me turn on the controller till it's depleted.
I think my controller is the problem since my xbox battery pack doesnt fully charge and my brand new rechargeable batteries dont show charge past 75%
What is the lifespan of the original battery?
So your telling me I’ve been using my controller wired and wondering why it’s not charging and it’s because your supposed to put batteries in it like I thought it had a built in battery and mine was just broken it’s been nearly a year and I’m just finding out there a place to put batteries in it😭
i have new controller and new duracell rechargeable batteries, but they arent charging
Yeah I’ve had my battery pack less than a year and it’s already completely dead
I’m using the one from Xbox seems I’ve got two years out of it , now it’s just showing plugged in no charging symbols
So now I am totally confused on what's happening lol.
I just bought the xbox battery as a gift and ive been told it is not charging. Must be user issue, right?
Noooo none of these worked and the batter pack charges in my controller that has horrible stick drift so i know its not my battery may be something wrong with the controller.
I got a brand new Xbox, brand new controller, brand new Xbox official battery pack. Put the battery in and it doesn’t charge, not been able to use the battery pack at all straight out of the box. Any help??
Same I just got mine and have the same problem
@@toohighproductions2303So annoying! I ended up taking it back and getting stealth rechargeable twin pack for the same price and works a treat
Same, but ironically when I use and old Xbox One battery pack it works no problem
I just switched bumpers due to a broken bumper and now my controller no longer accepts my battery packs
Exactly my problem
My charge port is sideways a bit, like uneven
My charger only works unless I hold the charger down
Mines vibrates and then after hours I check and it has no battery
Same and it is new
Any luck fixing? Same is happening to me.
Lol did you change the batteries
@@Dr.Lemmy_C_Yasnatch i had to buy venom twin rechargeable pack
@@KimJongChill yea i bought venom twin rechargeable pack
Ive had rechargeable batteries for my xbox controllers ever since they came out back in the 360 days. 95% of the time i just kept it plugged into my computer or xbox. Ive never had issues with them and they would last the entire duration of a consoles lifespan and longer. Last year though, the controller I had for about 6 years just stopped working all together. So i bought a whole new kit (rechargeable battery and controller) and this new controller lasted maybe 5 months now and I'm having the same issues again. Ive kept it plugged into my pc the whole time like before. But it keeps disconnecting and acting like it loses power even while plugged in.
Im really at wits end over this. I like having the option to play with a controller but im not gonna buy one every 5 months!
I’m having the same problem. Xbox is being too cheap to make quality stuff anymore.
The new Microsoft battery packs (USB c cable with no recharge indicator light) do not last at all.
My Xbox battery pack doesn't charge past 15% and I've had it for less than a year but there was an update 2 weeks ago and one week ago it stopped sharging. It even makes the rumble when I conect the cable.
I'm almost like you. Did you find a solution?
Why in the hell is it every time I buy a Xbox charger it doesn’t work? This is why playstation is better 🤦🏻♂️
Can i charge a battery pack through the controller?
yes
Wtf!? Everyone has battery packs by now! Why isn’t my batter pack not being charged!?
If it says plugged in but not charging that means the battery is dead right and I need a new one?
I’m having the exact same problem after two years, just shows plugged in and not charging
fixed it anyhow?
@@makeshift1012fixed it?
@@zZ--- it says plugged in but not charging but it works you can use it just doesn’t charge.
@@yoshpeters3079 i wana play wireless bruh thats why i bought the adapter so u have t fixed it?
I had my battery turned the wrong way the whole time
My dumbass just had to blow into the charger port and it started working. Took me watching this video and that guy saying it for me to actually realize I could do that hahaha
Where did you plug earlier?
@@realfan91 That's what she said.
I have this fucking original battery and it didn't charge at all overnight, everything worked for 3 years, only on cable for a month
Thanks
what the fuck did u say at the end
Xbox controllers are shit. As others have pointed out they are made so cheaply it’s a joke. I have a rechargeable battery pack and sometimes for days it refuses to charge even when I leave it plugged in. This isn’t the first time either it’s like a come and go issue.
That’s not the Question it’s that’s you have to take out and put the Batteries back in every time you want a charge you made a Useless video
That loud lip smack to start the video was awful
