One of the things I like about this channel is that you take time to get to know the machines before giving reviews. You show the work you do and your experiences, and then give your opinions after some real work. There are too many channels who pull a tool out of the box or off the trailer and immediately start a review, having never actually used it.
I loved some of the new action shots. Especially the one inside the muncher. The little LX3310 handled the mulcher fine.....every machine it has been on has stalled eventually....so it showed you need patience and 'small bites' but it will get the job done
I believe Baumalight changed the design of the rotor from a segmented stack of staggered plates to a drum with stump cutter teeth and brackets on it. Perhaps the new design lends itself more prone to wrapping than the previous design. Thumbs up on the comment of doing tree work when the sap is down and leaves are off. I learned that lesson about 15 years ago. Makes the firewood dry faster and is much more pleasant when you don't have sweat dripping in your eyes.
@@TractorTimewithTim No, the sap/sugar rises from the roots to nourish the buds and leaves in the spring and in the fall it returns to the sugar to the roots. I tried to attach some references but YT was giving me an error message. th-cam.com/video/9XLfvjo_h44/w-d-xo.html
Man, I wish they made those for the smaller tractors like the 1025 or my bx2360. No matter it is still fun to watch. Thank you for being one of the most honest people giving a real view of tractors.
The camera shots and angles were on point. I was literally jumping out of the way for flying debris and limbs smacking back at me ...very imerissive! Great job..good pointers. Thanks.
That brush cutter is pretty impressive. The lil orange tractor seems to be holding its own. Appreciate the comments on getting used to the tractor and how best to use the brush cutter. Your comments about making arc patterns ok n lieu of straight lines makes sense since the unit is narrower than the tractor. Thanks for sharing this
Sure could use that for the bushes along my fence lines. I like how it takes care of the stump and mulches everything. No need for a chipper. Thanks for the video. Stay safe.

I remember your other videos about this done in the summer. There's a huge difference in the visibility (to the ground) between then and now. Thanks for posting these videos.
Loving the orange tractor. Just bought a B2601! The implement looks great like usual. I would seriously consider wearing a forestry helmet with hearing protection and a face shield when running that thing on a open station tractor. It sure loves to launch debris.
Looked like Christy could have really used a helmet with face shield there are the end of the video. Glad everybody is safe and thanks for another great video.
Australian here checking into what you're up to and liking your attitude toward your work of 'steady as she goes'. I'm on 110 acres and trying to keep an eye on the various weedy stuff that keeps on wanting to make my paddocks home. At present I only have an old 33 horsepower 4x4 tractor and a 5' slasher. Having seen you working this muncher has opened my eyes to other possibilities. Soon or later I'm going to need to upgrade the tractor and maybe just maybe, I can look at either buying a mulched or perhaps hiring one (if such things are possible around these ways).
Tim: Did u ever try driving forward with the bucket down (with or w/o edge tamers) to break or bend the brush with the brush machine mulching behind as you go?
I have found the looking over your left shoulder works well with treadle pedal. You can use your right heal for backing up. Kinda backwards from "normal" I guess.
Most of your inside projects are necessary to get ready for the outside work. I found your video on repairing Molly helpful. There is probably lots of those tractors out there that needs some work to bring them back. And now you have a nice warm building to get things done. I too am ready to get off the couch and get things done outside.
Did you replace the crappy headlights yet Tim? Also there is a new Kubota ROPS light kit that mounts where you have you GoPro. Plus I would like to thank you for savings on the bucket Edge Tamers. They worked great for plowing snow.
Tim how are you feeling? Your wind seems to be coming back stronger. I hope you, Kristy, and Katriel are safe & healthy. God Bless you and your family.
I am very impressed with that piece of equipment. I had about 4 acres that was probably thicker, with heavier alders, in which I brush cut some, hauled the bigger stuff out with a brush brute. The problem was after wards, I had an enormous pile of the bigger ones I hauled out, and whished I could have mulched them up to some extent, so they would decompose faster. That looks like it would have been a much easier and made a much better job, in the end.
Nice work Tim and Christy. Happy to watch something other than snow removal. I personally got my Mower Decks serviced and installed on the BX and old G. Have a great day, and looking forward to your next series of videos.
Morning Tim. That unit sure does the job on the brush. Re: the ROPs. If there is a nut welded on either the left or right ROP, there is a threaded knob you can get from Kubota ( it is supplied on the BX models) that fit the B2601 as well. I have a feeling it will also fit into this one as well. For reference, the Part is called a "Clamp Rail Cover" and is Part # 53721-61533. Inexpensive, but built for tightening down the top of the ROPs by threading it in ( to stop the rattling) and out of the nut on the ROPS (when you need to drop the top). It works. Cheers!

That would be handy Tim, I know a few spots of ours where I could use that mulcher. It looked the 3310 handled it pretty good, that's a lot of implement for that HP. I'll look forward to more time with the R14's from you and your thoughts.

@@TractorTimewithTim As a JD owner, I dislike it also. But... when doing a lot of work in reverse it seems the reverse treadle pedal position would potentially be more comfortable than stretching my right leg to reach the reverse pedal when I have my body twisted to the right.

Are you running the tractor with a little more throttle than the PTO mark? That might help with how it cuts and keep the saplings from wrapping around the head.
I haves found that if you run over it in a few different directions then let everything dry out for a few weeks then hit it with the brush hog everything decomposes really quick
I’m really excited about the Kubota. I have been eyeing a LX2610 as a replacement for my JD 2210. Looked at the John Deere equivalent and think the 3 range transmission and other items maybe better on the smaller sized tractor from Kubota even though i love John Deere.
Have you tried going into the brush going forward, using the loader to push down the brush and then driving over it? On my tractor there is really nothing that the brush could tear up underneath, but I don't know about the Kubota. Or, is the mulcher really designed to attack the standing brush only going backwards? That mulcher would be awesome of the front of a skid steer!! Can you make progress a little faster by taking half-swaths?
So this is what you wanted the power beyond for? Also in the videos your getting some pretty clean audio and I was wondering what your using for a mic. Some audio I can hear is in post.
@@TractorTimewithTim Ah, my brain wasn’t really working when I asked about that power beyond. 🤣 I know we were making a log splitter for our H that I’m thinking to repurpose the parts for our new compact tractor as that power beyond is already setup. I’m curious to see what you do with it. Your audio quality clearly shows how much you spent. I need to find something that can cancel machinery like that.
I’m very interested in how this 3310 performs. I’ve read comments that Kubota’s are under powered and hard starting in cold weather. The hp is the same as the 3033r that I just purchased and it’s nice to see what it can do.
Patience and doing half width cuts instead of full width cuts looks to be the ticket on that job. I looked to see if it had shoes for height settings. what 3 - 4 passes to finished results? looked real good from what you started from, almost seed ready.
It looks like a good way to clear small stuff from your property. I remember using a tow bar rotary brush hog clearing prunings from an orchard. it would throw cuttings forward, and beat the heck out of my legs...and arms... and head... I finally had to cut a piece of plywood to fit between the arms on the 3point hitch to keep from getting hit to hard... Not sure I would want to go thru a large orchard backwards, but it looks like it would be much less apt to throw stuff at my head. Do you know if the manufacturer is researching a FEL QA attachment that would keep the business end in front of you? Keep the videos coming, Thanks Tim.
Tim, every time you said "right to the ground", it made me think of Little Red Corvette by Prince 'Cause if you don't, you're gonna run your little orange tractor Right in the ground (Little Orange Tractor) Right down to the ground (Honey, you got to slow down)
I did notice, about the 13 - 14 minute mark of the video, that the tires treads on the Kubota were packing in with dirt.... interesting to see on those hybrid tires.
To show the slope, just use a couple of 2x4's and a long level. It will show it very well. Make one with a slot & a wing nut so another board (maybe a 1x3) can be used to adjust the height, then lay the level across between the two. Crude, but it will work.
Me: AAWWW but Tim we want a review on the Kubota NNNOOOWWWWW!! Tim: uhhh, it's orange. Now you got your review, where is my cheese burger? Me: I would say the neighbors dog thought it was really tasty! Anyway at 5:37 i assume there is a safety chain to keep the PTO shield from spinning?
The Baumalight MP348 Brush Mulcher seems to be an awesome machine but it's also prohibitively expensive to buy compared to a traditional brush machine. Most people would have a task for this once or twice ever. What would you suggest for someone that has 5 acres to clear and wouldn't expect to have a real need other than that one time project (I haven't found any place that rents these)?
I know it’s early in use but please any R14 vs R4 feedback would be greatly appreciated. I’m ordering an LX2610 within days and I can’t find much info on them for a turf damage standpoint. I’ll be using 2/3 on my grass and 1/3 in woods. Thank you for all that you do!

Your audio quality clearly shows how much you spent. I need to find something that can cancel machinery like that.
On the bx23s there is an anti rhops bolt/ knob. It fits the rhops on the b and lx.
10-11k... geeze,
Worth it.
If you wanted to do a lot of this I think I would want a front mounted PTO. But yes that is a full time job
Exactly. If not for the stumps, one could till it!
Great video Tim, Love the content. Keep up the good work.
That little kubota is impressive, or rather the Baumalight. Also poor Christie, you should let her drive in the next video.
When you are done mulching up the saplings do you do anything with the roots that are left?
Nope. Just trying to get the property suitable for mowing.
Loving the orange tractor content! ;)
Tim, every time you said "right to the ground", it made me think of Little Red Corvette by Prince
'Cause if you don't, you're gonna run your little orange tractor
Right in the ground
(Little Orange Tractor)
Right down to the ground
(Honey, you got to slow down)
You should reach out to brown tree cutter and see about getting a unit to show on your channel and do a comparison between it and this mulcher
What happen if you hit a small to middle rock like 6 to 10 inch, big dammage or just a Little wabble with this implement?
Not good.
I did notice, about the 13 - 14 minute mark of the video, that the tires treads on the Kubota were packing in with dirt.... interesting to see on those hybrid tires.
It was quite muddy.
To show the slope, just use a couple of 2x4's and a long level. It will show it very well. Make one with a slot & a wing nut so another board (maybe a 1x3) can be used to adjust the height, then lay the level across between the two. Crude, but it will work.
Impressive implement
You look so good on an Orange tractor ;)
Me: AAWWW but Tim we want a review on the Kubota NNNOOOWWWWW!!
Tim: uhhh, it's orange. Now you got your review, where is my cheese burger?
Me: I would say the neighbors dog thought it was really tasty!
Anyway at 5:37 i assume there is a safety chain to keep the PTO shield from spinning?
It came off.
Discussed in the livestream yesterday...but of course that is an hour long!
@@TractorTimewithTim what a coincidence, watching it right now on my computer! Thanks!
Another good video Tim and Christy. What did you name the Kubota? Minute Maid? Haha...
Ok, Christy gets the thumbs up for this one. Standing in the line of fire and taking the punishment of getting smacked in the face to cappture video. Tim should give heart a purple heart, or at least a steak dinner.
