      @DanesinTexas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot 👊 I have not tried that powertec bench, but I think quality wise it falls right in between the one I have and the hoist bench. If u need a bench as well, go with pwr tec or hoist, and if not, then the body solid will get the job done. If I didn’t have a bench already, the hoist one was very nice quality. I tried it in a store here.

  • @CC-vj6dd
    @CC-vj6dd ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi, thank you for this video! I was thinking about ordering this bench.
    Question: in the leg curls position,the padding where the torso sits is at its maximum?
    I mean, one thing I noticed and the thing that was making me second guess purchasing this bench is the fact that in the leg curl position it seems too horizontal, I would like it to decline a bit more.
    Is is possible to adjust it in order to decline more? Or, as you show in your images, is it at its maximum?
    Thank you!

    • @DanesinTexas
      @DanesinTexas  ปีที่แล้ว

      At 3:23 it’s at its lowest, with a slight decline…it’s a nice angle for leg curls, but it does gets more wobbly in that position, so if you are shorter, it won’t work very well. If you are taller and heavier, your weight will keep the wobbling to a minimum. I wish they would release an upgrade to this piece.

    • @DanesinTexas

      Yea you add it on top of the regular one, so slide it on and secure with small hex key. Very easy. I added a rubber ring around it as you can see in video, had one laying around from a weight tree. It was about $20 I think. You have to buy it separately since it is not included in product.

    Nice 'solid' review. I agree with comments that the prone shaking is a bit of a nuisance but it's non existent when I stick my chest out and head forward.
    For the criticisms regarding the latter portion being too easy, what I did was put some boards underneath the leg (under the head part) and this angles the machine so you get a more continuous range of motion without it slacking much towards the end.
    That padding is just so nice though. Plenty of times I've used it to just lay on and nap a bit.

      You will have no problem with the seated leg extensions, however, the leg curls laying down will be a little bit of a hassle because the machine is so long. I'm 5.11 and its good for me and I still have it on the shortest setting. My girls who are 5.2 cannot use the laying down leg extensions, its simply too long/wobbly. I would say get a seated machine instead for both exercises instead of this one that lays down for leg curls. I hope this helps.

    I bought this and retuned it after 1 week. My daughter and wife could not use it properly due to the lack of pad adjustability. That alone was a deal breaker. Also, the wobblyness when doing prone leg curls was annoying and unacceptable. The holes for the pin are too big which creates the wobble. Poor engineering. Lastly, I found the machine had an uneven weight distribution throughout the range of motion. The beginning of the extension/curl starts easy, then it gets more difficult, then easy again. I tried adding bands but it was just not worth the hassle so I returned it. Good riddance! Fitness Factory returned it free of charge and even paid return shipping.

    • @DanesinTexas

      It does blow my mind that they haven’t wanted to fix the adjustments and the wobbling issues in the years and years it has been on the market. Glad FF too it back no problem. We still have it and use it every week, the girls just use the leg extension part with pad in the back, but the ham curls are a problem for them. I still like it but will look to replace down the road. Please lmk if u end up getting something similar 👍

    That machine is almost worthless. The lower pads are too far forward reducing the range of motion. Those extra couple of inches behind the leading edge of the seat make a huge difference. As is the range of motion is limited but the stops and not by the leg.
