OOPS! -- There was a weird overlap in audio during my editing (which @dragonfly5835 caught!) and an updated version of this video can be found at: th-cam.com/video/8ZgQdqHeHL0/w-d-xo.html
(Haven’t watched video fully but want to say) I was on testosterone 2017-2022, I started lowering my dose bc my body felt like it was reacting weird, along with other factors, and being happy with my transition, I stopped fully. I still haven’t gone back, but I do think about it, I just can’t handle puberty again rn lol. The only thing that hasn’t changed since stopping hrt is my voice. My body took its time to “shift back” and I’m still decently masc looking, but my face has softened. Still COVERED in body hair, but didn’t expect it to lighten as it has. Still grows fuller/darker than it did previously, but nowhere near how it was. Just wanted to add my experience, I’m still 100% trans, I don’t regret going on hormones, or going off of them. What I do is to feel most at home in my body 🛐 sending love
Researching today as I prepare to go to my doctor next week and ask to switch testosterone with estrogen because I've also realized I'm non binary. I was originally going to ask if I could use both at the same time because I was probably worried about what the doctor would say or that they would say no but after watching several videos I have decided to go with what I want for ME! I related when you said you've reached the point where you pass for YOU, same for me. I've reached me, I think! Thank you for sharing, you expressed yourself very well and found words I hadn't yet 🤗
4:06 to 4:33 there is overlap in the audio. Unless it’s just me? Cool video! I think I understand what you mean with how it’s weird being a nonbinary person in a binary society. They way people seem to conceptualise you and the world is off and it’s difficult to make things work in that department without just ignoring it. Again, cool video, I enjoyed it!
I'm coming here because I don't even know what to do. I started T almost a week ago. After waiting for years to get on it (I'm a trans guy) and my body is reacting horribly to it. I don't know if it's just me tripping but I think my hairline is receding. And I Feel so much pain in my scalp on the crown of my head (I haven't noticed any hair loss there) My heart rate is extremely high too and my tummy aches so bad.... I am so concerned, did they give me the wrong dose? Is this normal?? I obviously haven't seen any euphoric changes and I'm freaking out that I might have to go off it but I don't know how I would deal with my dysphoria without hormones... Before anyone says that I knew that testosterone could give hair loss but I always heard that that could happen once a person has been on testosterone for a while but less than a full week??? It's not normal. I don't know if my body is not taking it well because I feel quite sick.
Talk to your doctor IMMEDIATELY. You may need a different form of testosterone/androgen. There are different kinds that are received differently and some work better for people than others. Testosterone cypionate and testosterone enanthate are both injectable and come in different carrier oils. You may be allergic/sensitive to the carrier oil your testosterone is suspended in. Though I will say I haven’t heard of one shot of T causing hairline recession, the rest sounds like you need a different kind of T. If the hairline recession is happening you should document it with photos and request a DHT blocker as well. You’ll know if you inherited male pattern baldness by looking at your mothers father. Did he lose his hair? Then chances are you will, too, unless you use a DHT blocker.
@@iLettercast i know right?? I've never heard of someone on one week on t having hair loss problems. Thankfully I haven't seen any more recession today however I did see way more hairs in the shower than usual. The main thing that's really concerning me is the pain in my scalp. I read that that could be caused by alopecia Wich is what really freaked me out. I went to the pharmacy and got some advice and I ended up buying a shampoo for very sensitive scalp and some rosemary oil to keep the hair loss in check. It is true that a lot of men in my family are bald, my dad staring loosing hair when he was 26. When I decided I wanted to go on t I knew that male pattern baldness might get my ass sooner or later. But definitely wasn't expecting to see hair problems at 20 and specially not this early. My hair is a very important part of my self image and it has always been what has given me the most passing and euphoria. So I'd be very sad to loose it. I have scheduled an appointment for next week with my endocrinologist. Let's just hope I'm not rocking the Mr clean look by then 😭😭😭 As for the stomach aches now they are gone but the heat rate is still elevated. Thanks for the advice as well as sharing your experience. Who knows maybe in the future I will have to decide to go off t once I reach a certain point of results I like.
Hope you're doing okay! Please remember that more hair loss can also be due to stress, which it sounds like you might also deal with at the moment. Again wishing you the best!

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I'm so nervous about coming off T and reading your comment has definitely helped~

It’s probably an overlap 😅 good catch! I’ll try and fix it.

@@iLettercast Alright! 👍
What brand of testosterone did you take And what brand is causing a lot of liver problems???

Bruh you can’t bald after a week lmao. You need years to actually go bald.
Finasteride can help prevent that, but it will also prevent bottom growth and facial hair growth as a result.

I love you.
