Warm and dry feet and hands definitely extends the riding day in cold weather. Nothing is 100%, but at 470, seems a bit steep. They do look pretty good imo... but so do my Merrell's :)

At that price point you should at least get a happy ending…

All boots should have a boa system.

Does it come with Lifetime warranty?

Gore-tex provides a warranty with the waterproofing to last the lifetime of the boots.

REV'IT! * decides the price, not RevZilla

@@patrickmchugh8039 and RevZilla took stock and is selling it. This is where companies will decide to go high-end with products they sell since the profit per items is so much higher even though they will sell less. That leads to wrong thinking about % per item vs total items sold , then less of the more affordable items being sold, and eventually everything they sell is too expensive. Company dies, and all thats left is Amazon crap.

I like the look of the boots. They look like good mountaineering boots, which are cheaper and better made. I’m not convinced that Motorcyle boots are worth the extra money or offer any more protection.

Yeah, some "ankle pucks" are really all you're getting in terms of any substantial protection for riding (crashing) with these boots...might as well get a heavy duty leather hiking/mountaineering boot for half the price, as you suggest.

Not worth over $400..see how fast they go on sale after no one buy at that price

Aaaaaaand they' re already sold out in nearly every size. Heh. I have the previous (not gore Tex) version of these boots, and after 30,000 miles, countless hours of sweat, dirt, mud, rain and general walking around, I can't say enough good things about them. No other boot I have had is as stout, comfortable, or long-wearing. Buy once, cry once is the way with these boots.

@@spoontastico “[Vimes] earned 38 dollars a month plus allowances. A really good pair of leather boots cost 50 dollars. But an affordable pair of boots, which were OK for a season or two and then leaked like hell when the cardboard gave out, cost about 10 dollars… A man who could afford 50 dollars had a pair of boots that’d still be keeping his feet dry in 10 years’ time, while the poor man who could only afford cheap boots would have spent 100 dollars on boots in the same time and would still have wet feet.”
So many people in this thread subscribe to the Sam Vimes Boots theory of economics.

A competent light mountaineering boot is a better choice for motorcycle use - better waterproofing, a sturdy sole, precise fit and better looking.

Until you drop your bike on your foot , then you are going to want the armor and feel silly about putting looks over function
