HHH will always be the definition of a “jack of all trades, master of none”. He’s no Rock, but he’s not god awful on the mic either (most of the time at least). He can’t wrestle like Shawn, but he can carry his weight in a main event capacity. He didn’t have much of a personality, but he always surrounded himself with people who did. Whether it was dumb luck or strategic, Paul certainly did play the game
Jobaer bhuiyan When did I say he never had a good match? All I said was that he wasn’t as good of a wrestler as objectively one of the best performers this business has seen. Read my comment before you reply next time.
Agreed. I think I almost entirely stopped watching RAW back in the early 2000s when he had his so-called 'reign of terror', and was just a Smackdown guy. To me, Triple H is on about the same level as Edge, i.e. a solid B+ player. Good to very good in most areas, but not great like Rock, Austin or Hogan.
Brian M I would put HHH at around an A-. Really all he was missing was a defining over-the-top personality trait that people can really latch on to. He’s kinda just Generic Badass Wrestling Man #63926
“Michaels wanted to sit in the production meetings so he could figure out who to sabotage later on.” LOL damn. Way to sum up the Shawn Michaels of the late 90’s in one sentence!
@@dantemagliari1073 i knew what Shawn was back & still was a fan of his. His character, the heel turn from Marty, it seemed like he was an asshole back then! But that's ok we all your human
John Mateus and it’s true he carried the company but like in 98 Stone Cold was carrying the company and people paid to see him and also to see him kick Vince ass so same thing with HHH they wanted Rock to kick his feud so feud of the year Imo The McMahon Helmsley regime vs The Rock
He wasn’t even married to her in 2000 they got real life married in 2002 but he would not be running nxt if he was not married but he still would have won the belt
probably better off in the locker room, he got a lot of heat by association. Taker naturally disliked him at first, he hated the kliq. but when Shawn went away, Taker started to like him.
Criminal Minds Girl no one is pretending Chyna doesn’t exist. They don’t mention her cos they are a PG company & she did porn (mocking her ex employer btw), did drugs & grabbed Stephanie by the throat. She chose to do those things. Ok HHH shouldn’t have cheated but at the end of the day Chyna was an adult and was responsible for her actions. No one made her do porn, no one made her take drugs, etc. It sucks she’s dead but it is what it is. And Stephanie said one day Chyna will be in the HOF.
Facts don’t care About your feelings they already disowned any mention of Chyna by 2003. You can’t blame it on her porn, WWE erased her from history a long time ago. Long before the porn “mocking her ex employer” and the kinds of characters they do have in the hall of fame, such as Steve Austin who beat his wife, or Jimmy Snuka who killed his girlfriend, and not disowning Sean Waltman who filmed the porn with Chyna, and almost ALL of their former employees have had drug addictions some even severe, its an excuse they make to erase and discredit her from history when the reality is they did not want to take the heat for what they did to her and Stephanie didn’t like Joanie and HHH wanted to forget she existed
Cornette is so awesome and he tells it how it really was. His line about Shawn wanting to sit in on production meetings to see who he could screw over is classic & awesome.
Except he did know what it was lol Vince even plugged a UFC ppv on Raw in 1997 once as part of a deal to exchange Shamrock footage from UFC for video packages! Plus in 1995 Kama's gimmick was based on UFC fighters.
I think that Triple H's career without Stephanie would have been similar in success to Jericho in that he would have been a guy that would occasionally be in the main event and occasionally be champion, but he would not have been the constant presence at the very top without Stephanie. And then once he retired from the ring, he would have been an agent.
@@zacharyradford5552he was already a multiple time wwe champion without steph and solidified himself as a top 5 superstar in the company and was the biggest heel in the company he would’ve def still had a better career then Jericho as a A- type player but his career would’ve still been different in big ways
He was only ever something before marrying steph because Shawn and nash where his buddies but he was mid card or upper mid card cause of shawn. If Shawn or nash never befriended him he would have never got far up the card and stayed there as long as he has . I like Triple h and he has skills, but he was looked over until he got some buddies that where tight with the boss and marrying steph made him. Happy for him though.
@TOMBSTONE SHADOW HHH would still be a hall of famer. the only thing that probably would've changed is the the evolution stuff and after. that's when he went off the deep end. he was already moving up the card with the DX stuff. he's still be a multi-time world champion and he probably would have a job in the back, but not as high up.
Hunter has always been in Shawn Micheals's shadow. Simply put, Shawn is better. Shawn eventually cut his stupid bullshit. Triple H is still dumb as fuck. Shawn is a great worker, like him or not. Triple H is an okay-ish worker. Shawn ended his career while he had dignity, and when he still could wrestle, so his last match was a masterpiece. Triple H is still semi active, and he can't wrestle like he used to. And he wasn't even the best when he was in his prime. Shawn is a actually a really good person. (nowadays) Hunter is still an asshole. Hunter will always carry Shawn's bags. Even if Triple H is one of the biggest, he can't be Shawn Micheals. Hunter is like Batista or Ultimate Warrior. They were close to the top guy level, but they were held back for a multitude of reasons. Triple H will never be like Austin, Cena, Rock, Shawn, Hogan or CM Punk if Punk had stayed longer. And I hate Hogan, but I can admit that he was THE guy. I can't admit the same for Hunter.
@@SpiralPoli Pretty much lol The biggest gift HBK did for HHH was leaving from 98-02, bc if that didn't happen.... Hunter's rise to the top, wouldn't have been so astronomical.
Sure Triple H the same Vince who squashed your career early with a 5 sec Ultimate Warrior victory at a Wrestlemania. Sleeping with the boss daughter helped.
Funny thing about that match is that it was actually before the Madison Square Garden incident. Meaning it was before he got punished and was stripped of the opportunity to win King of The Ring. With that said, WWE did have plans for Triple H despite that. He won the intercontinental title that fall. Then the next year won the king of the ring. People like to say he got everything he had because of marrying Stephanie. Personally, I think he got everything he had hanging with Shawn Michaels. Think about it. Without DX, Triple H wouldn't have been able to form that edgier Triple H persona. What would he have been in 1998? Would he still be doing curtsies instead of crotch chops? DX propelled him into a guy that could conceivably be the top heel in 1999 and onward. I think we still would have gotten the Triple H that we got but like Cornette said, his front office influence would be non existent.
dumb example you are talking about something when he was a low mid card heel, opposed to years later after he already got the title two or three times.
@Jobaer bhuiyan what?! Bitch please. The rock made wwf. He was their biggest star on monday night war and was their biggest star after. Even after marrying steph he was still in the rock shadow. He only had an chance when the rock move on from wrestling to movies.
@@zlord1199 While true, Cena sold merch at a Steve Austin level. Triple H has never been the guy to move the needle like that. Can you imagine how awful a match that would be if Hunter were in it?
without him marrying the bosses daughter, I think he still would’ve racked up a nice career for himself. He definitely wouldn’t of had the same pull/influence in outcomes that he does now. And we’d have no NXT maybe.
Triple H wouldn't be running nxt, but he would still be doing something. Kevin Kelly said he would sit in production meetings in like 1998 and see Triple H.
@@posteveryside-beatsnews consider he's got a look Vince likes, Austin still would've been forced to retire, Rock would've gone to Hollywood, Triple H and Undertaker would still be the two iron men that stuck around.
That would have been a much more interesting character. The "I fucked the boss' daughter" heel would be the kind of heat that WWE needed in the mid 2000s.

I think it's important to remember that had it not been for Triple H's close association with Nash and Hall, who got Vince to bring him up from WCW, and ultimately his later association with Shawn Michaels, because of Nash and Hall, that he never would have gotten his big push during the absence of The Rock and Steve Austin during the late 90's, eraly 00's.
Yes he would. He was the best all rounder in the company. Some guys were good on mic, or great wrestlers , but none were the full package like hhh was. People love to claim hhh only got where he did because of steph , or the cliq , but he was a great talent before any if that.
Thats the problem, too much script and not enough freedom of expression for wrestlers. They should be able to keep their name and gimmick when switching wrestling federations.
TBH i think he woulda ended up in a similar position to Cody Rhodes. With his business mind and determination and opportunistic nature, he woulda found someone like Tony Khan and would be in a high position for some company that was damn near built on his ideas.
@John Mateus ID think from the way i worded my statement and the likes, that many think Triple H has talent, but Yeah Cody also has talent. your not wrong. lol
if he'd never married Stephanie, he'd been the next Jake "The Snake" Roberts. balding, mulleted, mustachioed, doing the talking for some AEW pseudoheel. making a commercial for DDP yoga and in a twitter feud with Ole Anderson to get the fans' lagging attention.

Without Shawn ,without Steph,he would have still found someone to latch on to. Hunter is nothing if not a man who makes his own luck. He is inevitable.
I wonder if Heyman and Lesnar would have ever returned in 2012 if not for Triple H though. Not sure but based on Heyman's interview with Jericho back in 2014, he implied that Triple H eased him into the deal with a very convincing pitch
UFC was a horrible initial investment. Dana made it what it was and if it wasn’t for the casino backing it it would have folded and I don’t know if Vince would have had the patience to keep it running.
J. Will I would like to travel to an alternate universe where Vince listens to Shane instead of Stephanie and see how much better the WWE would be if that happened
Kevin Dunn worked under Vince, Sr. When Vince, Jr, took over, he bought back the employees’ shares in the company in exchange for guaranteed employment for life. That’s why Kevin Dunn is still there.
Triple H would have been irrelevant if not for marrying Stephanie. He was never as good as the top guys back then so he had to bury them politically. He is one of the most overrated wrestlers of all time.
I thought he was grossly overestimating his importance to the wrestling business. Take Stephanie and Shawn Michaels out of the equation he'd really be nothing.
I think he would probably of done something similar to Cody or Jeff Jarret considering he has a big interest in the business side of things. Who knows if he would of been as successful or not.
I dont think that would have happened, Cody and Jeff came from big money and had a lot of connections from their family. Jeff's dad was a big promoter and Cody's dad was of course Dusty.
HHH was a great heel. There's no reason why he couldn't have made the main event. As a bonus, he had the greatest theme song of all time-and always will.

As J said " Triple H is the Kevin Federline of Professional Wrestling. "- Scott Steiner. If he was not married to steph, his ass would not be where it was now and he would have been long gone.
He probably would have worked out his contract and joined his buddies down in WCW after Hall and Nash arranged things and been a member of the NWO B Team.
Alex, let’s be honest... he only got that because he was in the HTM position at that point. The “what about him?” spot. Everyone else at that time had either been champion already or wasn’t ready yet. And h wasn’t even ready for it, he was just in the right place at the right time.
People give this guy way too much credit! It's not quantum physics! It's a no brainer!!! And btw i am sure Steph had messed around with some of the men and that's why HHh had issues with some other stars. Sleep with the boss' daughter and marry her? Your on easy street! Multiple world titles! Tons of entrance music variety, you can job wrestlers maybe even two at a time. I think if it was not him it would have been another high profile name like Jeff Hardy or Billy Kidman or Taker, Test, Big Booty Daddy Pappa Pump or Macho Man ohhhhh yeahhhh dig it!!!?
Alex Balin - I can’t see that, man. vince already wanted to can him for not being able to truly get over by HIMSELF. Throughout his entire career he has ALWAYS needed some type of cast of characters around him. Being a lifelong tag wrestler and knowing your role in the business is one thing. But this dude ALWAYS needed something or someone to keep him hot, and couldn’t sustain it himself. That’s not a “star”. He was a place holder.
@@SlimmArmstrong As Corney and several others have said about HHH, he was never the man, he always wrestles or was associated with The Man. Also if that never happened odds are Chyna would still be with us and most likely wrestling as her career would not have ended the way it did.

I honestly think given HHH's love for the business side of wrestling and production, he would have hooked up with a millionaire and started his own promotion. He would have the star power to attract someone wanting to start a promotion to go into business with him just like Cody did.
I get so sick of hearing about how Triple H was 'punished' in 1996. He got a slap on the wrist and had to do jobs for a few months before being paired with Mr. Perfect and getting the Intercontinental title. He has milked this 'in the dog-house' story for all it is. He should feel grateful he wasn't outright fired after the MSG disgrace.
Not only that, him and shawn michaels were making fun of the incident a year later on live TV saying "Oh no Vince is gonna bury me". It doesn't seem like he actually got in trouble at all aside for having to job for a few undercard guys.
One thing to remember, the push in Summer of 99 was going to Test (Andrew Martin). As Chyna herself said before she died, Triple H started cheating on her with Stephanie long before their relationship was public, because she found letters from Stephanie to him in his bag. The canceling of Test's push and endless Triple H push started AFTER he started secretly dating Stephanie, not before. It was ALL from Stephanie.
ric flair is famous for having the same match night in and night out. that's not really a knock. a lot of wrestlers do that because they wrestle 300 times a year.
Hard as this is to believe, not much difference. With SCSA and the Rock out of the picture, he was the main guy, especially on Raw. It took a second for Cena to come into his own and HHH still had a little more pull than guys, like Benoit, Eddie, or JBL. He kept himself in good shape enough, not too many serious injuries.
You think that from a talent perspective, Triple H still would have progressed into Main Event status eventually. However, he would not become an Executive without the "Stephanie Rub".
@Joe Greene He was main event before he even got with Stephanie. There's no disputing he'd still have become a main event guy. However, he most certainly wouldn't have been as prominent throughout the years, nor would he have had as many title reigns if it weren't for his relationship with Stephanie.

If HHH hadn't gotten involved with Stephanie I'm not so sure he would've mowed over the other talent and been able to drone for so long on promos as he did in the 00s either.
Mr. Cornette, so glad to find this channel. I have watched you since managing the awesome Midnight Express in Mid-South. Love your opinions, bro. A legend for sure.
Lets be fair here if Paul hadn’t married Stephanie he would’ve just been remembered as the guy who carried his best friends bags into the building if his best friend hadn’t had a severe back injury that nearly took him out indefinitely. Not the guy that ended up in sack with the bosses daughter. Jim said one time that he was a student of the game but he was with the guys (Austin, Rock) who were making the money. He was no Rock, Austin or HBK.
Jobaer bhuiyan to be fair if Brock hadn’t left when he did Cena would’ve be carrying his bags into the building and Cena would’ve be a high mid carder at best.
The Undertaker is a prime example of never being fired because of his dedication and loyalty towards WWE, I’m not saying that Triple H would have been where he is if he didn’t marry Steph but he would have still been a top star and a very influential figure backstage 🔥
I think Triple H would have eventually become WWE champion but not nearly as quick he did. Him dating the bosses daughter definitely had a lot to do with it.
Can we please take a moment to analyze this situation from a real man's perspective. Game recognizes game. HHH had the balls to spit that game at Stephanie. He bagged her. Laid the pipe down. Gave her his last name. Now he is a multi-millionaire with a life long job with stock options. He has a fit wife who is body conscious and keeps up her appearance. He has kids with her so if they split he'll be getting child support and/or alimony. He's a very smart man. #PimpShit

He worked hard though. And whether Jim and the comment section hate him or not. He still got huge cheers when he was a good guy- and he was one of the most effective heels. That’ really all that can be said.
I think he would have been someone like Kane, still knocking around and had a decent amount of success, but never the main event or face of the company but a dependable worker.
I don’t think so. Whatever one thinks about him as a wrestler, tough to deny his ability to schmooze with the right people behind the scenes. Whether it be carrying Shawn Michaels luggage or marry the bosses daughter. He knows how to further his career in the business.
Yes he was the top guy..... It's almost always the top face and the top heel. You need both and HHH was the top heel. There is almost never one top guy in wrestling. Only Hogan, Austin and Cena is arguably top guys with no heel opposition on their level. HHH was the top face when he returned from his knee injury and was the top heel most of his career. HHH was more over than the rock in there first big match on ppv at SummerSlam 98. The rock needed HHH to be on top and make things interesting just like how the batman story needs joker.
@realninjaent544 to say that the rock needs hhh is crazy and abit unrealistic. The rock would have been over anyway and like it was said people watched ppv for rock, austin, taker, kane not cuz of hhh. He was having squash matches with warrior and carrying bags before his relationship with Stephanie started
Don’t really understand why everyone seems to think Triple H wouldn’t have been a major player without Stephanie. After HBK left, he was already being groomed to be a top guy. Leader of DX, feuding with Nation of domination and beating the rock for the IC title. Then winning his first world title in ‘99. All the motions were in place before he even got with Steph. Sure, he probably wouldn’t have the spot he has now and he may have won less world titles, but he would’ve been a long time main eventer without her as well. You have to be blind or ignorant to deny that.
Leigh Smith thats what im saying, the only thing i really think he wouldnt have had without Steph is the coporate role and i think that may even be a stretch
The guy was stiff, had no mic skills and was a 1 on marketability... Wasn't a main event guy until everyone left or got hurt. He was the last guy left. He secured his position by marriage. Good for him. He the proceeds to bury any talent that came through the door unless they were already big outside of wrestling. Which stunted the growth of the company.
ryansaunders65 stiff? Name one guy triple h has ever injured? Wrestlers and referees have both said how safe a worker triple h is. As for mic skills, guy is one of the best. It’s clear you’re letting your bias and dislike for him cloud any fair judgement.

yo momma's toilet you’re an idiot. Triple H‘s first WWE heavyweight championship title run was in 1999 before he even did the kayfade Stephanie Triple H marriage storyline. He was already on the rise as a main event before the scripted marriage storyline with Stephanie and the real marriage of Stephanie McMahon. He definitely would’ve had a great career as he was already seen as a top main event player star. Would he have had less world titles potentially and less main events at wrestlemania potentially but to say that triple H would be a mid carder and not a main eventer when he was already been booked to be in the world champion prior to him marrying Stephanie is pure ignorance!
In all fairness, he first won the wwf title the night after Summerslam 99. He also had a major feud with Vince in late 99, so he would have still had some success regardless. Though I doubt his "reign of terror" would have been so extensive in the RA Era.
He would have retired by the late 2000s, possibly still occasionally popping up for nostalgia/as a part timer, and have a really successful gym/ training camp. Nothing wrong with that, and more similar to a number of other former main event, sober wrestlers.
Shane also wanted to have an online show. A sort of streaming service. Maybe have an app to watch it through. Shane wanted the WWE network 10 years before Vince did.
Yep me too, I got on wwe network today to see if anything new was on like a documentary or something and its literally nothing but hhh shit, I about puked, so overrated
I feel like NXT was really stumped by the fact that it was initially supposed to be a beginners thing. You know, rookies trained by pros. Who wants to watch rookies when you have pros who are the best in the world? It kind of put a bad stigma on NXT and people aren't as interested as they could be if it weren't for that initial purpose for NXT. But I do agree Hunter has taken care of it well.
Man, the dude's work ethic is why he's where he is. The man works hard as Hell, and always has. He had non of the Vices that most of his friends, and Peers had, and THAT had to be appreciated by Vince. The man busted his ass, and I'm a little sick of the bullshit narrative that surrounds this guy. We can all agree that his Marriage helps, but damn, stop acting as if he hasn't done anything to deserve his position.
People seem to forget he never drank or did drugs in his life, considering the time he broke in and the people he was able to keep as friends shows his dedication
I kind of liked World Wrestling Insanity's take on it. In that Triple H didn't become a star because he married Stephanie. No, he became the all-conquering lord of space and time because he married Stephanie.
Finally I found a video on this topic where someone who's actually from that line of work that can tell you the truth cuz he definitely would not have been where he is now without her an Shawn Micheals
Has HHH ever had a moment where he wasnt riding someone else's coattails? HBK, Chyna, Evolution, etc. Where was he in the mid 90s? Completely invisible. 2003 when he married Stephanie, he was in every single main event. Tuned out big time.
I gave up on WE. There are a lot of better promotions, such as MLW. Check them out, search "MLW wrestling" on youtube. It is my favorite. Impact is pretty good too. NWA as well.
They balance each other out, Russo wants to go young, hip and now, while Jim Cornette wants to keep prowrestling like old school 1975 Bruno samartino era style in tact, somewhere in the middle is a good compromise and that’s how the attitude era came about, the most profitable era in all of pro wrestling.
Dude HHH has done more in the ring and outside of the ring than jim Cornett could do in 3 lifetimes. No one touches HHHs heel work, and he did wonders for NXT. Deal with it . Living legend
Even if HHH was shot to the top riding atop the princess mare, he was still a very funny , hard working and determined guy especially during those DX promos.
Would HHH be an executive in WWE now? No Would he have still been an all time great wrestler? Yes. Despite his ego and selfishness, I never once disbelieved him as champion. He was a great heel and great psychologist
HHH is a obviously smart guy, like Jim said he definitely wouldn't be hurting now if he hadn't married Steph. But I would even agree that the 14 championships and the business responsibillities would be far fetched to imagine without the bosses daughter. No doubt he would still have been extremely succesful though with his mind alone.
I think Mania 18 was the defining "probably wouldn't happen if he wasn't dating the owner's daughter" moment for him. Vince likely was influenced by the huge pop he got when he came back but him winning the belt as a baby face being the show closer on the same card that Rock works with Hogan and a healthy Stone Cold is still active was them getting overzealous about the idea that someone in the family could be the top draw. If there wasn't that connection or a Stephanie storyline attached, there was no way Vince would have pushed Austin to a mid-card spot in favor of Hunter vs. Jericho.
I think WM18 was more of a thank you from Vince. Gotta remember, Trips tore his quad in a run of the mill tag match on Raw, not even a ppv, and finished the match. Austin was being a pain in the ass at the time. The original plan was Austin vs Hogan, but Steve refused to work with Hogan. Austin being stuck on the mid card for refusing a dream match type main event that would have drawn insane money was probably punishment.
@@mattb.2740 Perhaps it was but I don't buy him gambling like that on anyone else. To deny Hunter credit for being a hard worker would be ridiculous but I don't see that level of reward being thrust upon him without the Stephanie connection. And Austin being difficult would have been tolerated to Mars and back during the Monday Night Wars.
Vince is a weird guy. According to Mick Foley, the only reason he was in the 4 way main event of mania 16 was Vince felt he deserved a WM main event for everything he did for the company. At the time, I'm sure there was also the thought that they made a huge deal out of the Undisputed Championship and it had to go on last. Austin was a pain in the ass all throughout the MNW, refusing to work guys like Mark Mero, Jeff Jarrett, and Billy Gunn. At that time, the MNW was over, so Vince didn't have to put up with Austin's crap. Austin had lost his leverage, but didn't seem to realize it yet.
I don’t know if he would have his exact position he has now but he would still be a great superstar still a legend and probably in the back doing stuff still
His position was always largely political. It’s retconned history that people look back on him now as a huge draw.... Yes he was given a main event position and hey, he’s a solid guy.... but he never sold any tickets period. Pick any two of these guys: Jericho, Undertaker, Michaels, Rock, Austin, Foley, to have a match. Is there a single combination where’d you think substituting “HHH” as one fo the participants would be more exciting? That the fans would choose and pay for? NO. (Well maybe vs Michaels since they had personal history... but that special storyline aside...) If you lived through that era you know I speak the truth. Heck, Benoit, Guerrero, Angle and others would easily be chosen over HHH as a match they’d be excited for and go see.
Can see what you're saying, but don't completely agree. Triple H, regardless of his political standing, was an amazing heel. Probably the best heel of my lifetime. I'd rather see someone like The Rock face off against him as opposed to someone like Foley, who is impossible to truly hate. Say what you want, but in heel terms he's possibly one.of the greatest ever.
He was the best heel in the business and like all those people you named he wasn’t a addicted alcoholic and having personal issues, triple h From 1999-2001 was the best wrestler in the world you can be delusional all you want but he was.
Badboy88 -11 well that’s interesting, perhaps I am underestimating that factor since for me by that time it really was not about heel vs face. In fact as you know that’s when the traditional dichotomy was really falling apart. If there was only one match on the card, I still have trouble seeing the majority prefer to see rock and triple h over rock and foley (and mankind was a pretty hated and effective heel before hell in a cell), but I could see it perhaps being the case for some like yourself. Again I’m not one of those people who will says strictly a mid-carder.....he was a solid guy who performed well.... but I think he always needed the push around him - the theatrics, the storyline, the opponent, the hype.... by himself he couldn’t generate much if anything. I think without any of that, he wouldn’t have pulled himself up like those other guys did - be so over that the crowd demanded he be at the top. If HHH had no backstage favouritism and influence, and they had decided: you’re teaming with Billy Gunn on the mid card.... I think that’s exactly the level he would have stayed at. I can imagine him being a respected solid performer at that level, and that would be that. I think few would be: what a phenom! Why don’t they push that guy to the top! In the ring, on the mic, I can’t enough! :-)
@@datacipher He would have still been successful on his own merit. I also never found him to be boring on the mic. If he was coming through now, be would be a GOD on the mic. It's easy to look shit when people like Austin and Rock are your main competitors
Jobaer bhuiyan All good, brother
Bret Hart figured him out when he said unless HHH was in a hardcore match or gimmick match he was trash

LMFAO. That killed me
The problem with Triple H and Stephanie is...they like to pretend that Chyna didn't exist.
And Stephanie said one day Chyna will be in the HOF.
chyna was mentioned in the wwe hall of fame 2019?
Also the Macho Man.
they showed her in the hall of fame.

He won his first wwe championship before he was involved with Stephanie

#PimpShit

While it's something to ponder and debate, complaining about nepotism in pro wrestling is like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500. There was never a time when it wasn't a "friends and family" business. Would Vince have gotten to where he is if not for his dad? Or Bret without Stu? Or the Von Erich's? The list is endless.
Family connections help but talent and drive is still needed. David Flair is not a household name in wrestling, for example.
Being from the same town as HHH can say his family is rather wealthy and have a few millions and own several business. I'd imagine he would've been fine.

but never actually being the TOP GUY
'realninjaent544 the rock didn't need to marry the boss's daughter to get ahead. checkmate.
I just love how Cornette refers to Vince Russo!!!
But think about if Michaels never got seriously injured who knows how many titles he would have
Sammy The Shark yeah agreed that’s what I said in one of the comments above about 8 to 10 Michaels would definitely have more
The guy was stiff, had no mic skills and was a 1 on marketability...
I think he’d still be a world champion, he’s one of the greatest heels of all time. But he wouldn’t have that much title reigns though
Joe Greene ok you’re just hating, just get your emotions out of it. Not top 100??? Smh. 2000 WWF was centered around Rock and HHH

@@AJ-xv7oh no, he wouldn't. He self booked most of his title reigns. Booked himself in several main events over more deserving talent. Vince let him get away creative garbage because he kissed the daughter's ass, before putting a ring on it. He was never special on the mic. Never had a 4.0+ star match where he wasn't carried. He was never the best at anything. The reality is Hunter would've been a midcard journeyman without Stephanie.
02-05 probably isn't 3/4 world champion Triple H, but i see him still wrestling until 2012 full time. then similar to other guys, he could do the part time schedule.
yo momma's toilet you’re an idiot.
Lmfao - love it as Jim snickers while Brian is reading the question
He would have retired by the late 2000s, possibly still occasionally popping up for nostalgia/as a part timer, and have a really successful gym/ training camp.

How was he riding someone else's coattails in Evolution? He was literally the main guy for most of that run.
He was in WCW being misused as Terra Ryhzyn or how ever you spell it in the early 90's
I actually was a Triple H fan during his time . He is to me under rated as a wrestler his gimmick was dope and he had great matches
The WWE needs Russo and Cornette. As much as they hate each other they’d make a great writing team

as much as i like russo and cornette i think that partnership can only be good for a limited amount of time
Maybe they can put Cornette on SD and Russo on Raw, all the shows would feel different and be better

Would HHH be an executive in WWE now? No
Would he have still been an all time great wrestler?
He ruined raw during the ra era , that shit was unwatchable in 03 an beyond because of him
I think Mania 18 was the defining "probably wouldn't happen if he wasn't dating the owner's daughter" moment for him.
NO. (Well maybe vs Michaels since they had personal history... but that special storyline aside...)
If you lived through that era you know I speak the truth.
