My dad had this kind of a heart attack and somehow it bypassed itself just like HHH. The cardiologist showed him the picture and told him to pin it to the refrigerator and then buy a lottery ticket. But a nod to HHH. The real deal and provided many good times for the fans for many years.

His return in 2002 was something special. I remember the vignettes they played in the weeks leading up to his return. His heel run from August 1999-May 2001 is something that can’t be matched. I loved his rivalry with Foley and Austin. The three stages of hell match was excellent story telling. His reign of terror was horrible, BUT he made Big Gold matter. He helped make Batista with that whole story.

1999-2000 Triple H was in the "best in the world" conversation just as Bryan or Roman or Brock are in right now (although that was helped along by most of his competitors getting hurt or aging out across the world). I still hold that version of HHH as the one people should remember, McMcahon-Helmsley era HHH absolutely was that guy on the level of Rock, Austin, Vince etc as someone who held his own in the main cast. In middle school everyone I knew was all about HHH and said he was the best wrestler, it was all about him or Kane. If you were a detention regular, HHH was your icon: he hooked up with the "principal's" daughter and crotch-chopped and caused mayhem everywhere he went.

At 80 years old when his defibrillator went off on the ladder and he saw that doctor after he asked the doctor if they could make the device warn him before being shocked. The doctor asked why, and he told him about it going off on the ladder. The doctor told him, "Sir you should not be on a ladder" My Dad looked at him and replied "Don't tell me what to do sonny!!"

Everyone has their dislikes of wrestlers for one reason or another but honestly when wrestlers get sick , they are human beings and people have to remember that. No matter what my preference on who’s a better star or if I’m a fan of their work , we still have to remember at the end of the day these people put their lives on the line everytime they step into the ring to entertain us , no matter how shitty we might think some things are

I agree with you, say what you want but he worked his ass off to be "the game" in 1999, and even then politics themselves held him down (Austin refusing to do the honors to him that time at Summerslam), but he persevered, i hated his reign of terror but it made it more special when Benoit and Batista finally dethroned him. My least favorite run of his was 2008-9 when he was WWE Champ, aside from putting over Jeff, he didn't have alot of memorable feuds if Im being honest, but Trips will always be one of the greats and one my personal favorites.

I had a defribulator implanted in 1993. I had a V-TAC . My heart went 350 bpm and stopped. I crashed seconds after hitting the floor. My coworkers spent almost 10 minutes performing cpr. The paramedics could not get me stabilized and lost me 6 times to the hospital. I was on life support for two days. No vitals. They told my wife at the time she was going to have to start thinking if she wanted to keep me on life support. I had no vitals. After a month of being transferred to different hospitals and going through so many test they left it as sudden death. No reasons. They implanted a defribulator originally in my abdomen. Now they put it up in your chest. I've had this nightmare fire on me accidently 5 times. It was a 2 year battle to even take the garbage out. You were afraid of your heart going to fast. The hospital that originally implanted the defribulator asked me to be a part of a research study for PTSD. There has to be a more humane way to do this. They used to electrocute people as a death sentence. You are having electricity course through your body. Some people might think that's nothing. But when you get shocked like shine people up to 63 times and they didn't need a shock. Triple H made the right decision to retire. Him having a blockage was no joke. But the heart has av way of trying to repair itself. The heart was forming capillaries to get the blood to start pumping in that area. The blockage woulda killed him long before the repair. His struggle is going to be an emotional journey. But if he asks the help. It's out there. Slash from guns n roses has a defribulator. I read in his autobiography that he gets shocked while playing on stage. How he does it is amazing.

Always was fan of HHH, one of my 5 favorites. People try to use their weird real life hatred because of "booking" from 10-15+ years to rewrite history. However, DX was absolutely huge part of Attitude Era and no one I know in real life hates HHH. He's a part of fond memories of Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Eras. Made Cena, Reigns, Orton, Batista, The Guy wiped from my memory, Angle, Rollins better and lifted up Flair. Also might have brought out the best of JR on commentary even more than Austin. "Tell me why you son of a bitch!"🤣
Numerous great matches and feuds. One of greatest return pops. Top 5 best Modern day heel too when you factor in him, Cena, and Vince "killed wrestling" nerd heat... The sad irony is the nerds who hated wrestler him for not putting Kozlov over seemed to love the NXT Indie lover version of HHH lol.(the feud with Booker T was BS tho).
