Hi there! Cheerings from Brazil. The very same thing happened to me during a road trip in February. Mine Is a KK though. Had to tow my Libby back home and rent another car to continue on the road. My tensioner pulley broke itself into several rings. I blame the pulley quality since I didn't swap the whole tensioner, just the pulleys.
I wonder if that was your case as well.

Yes, had to replace the pully idler. I've changed the pully before but the bearings broke on me. Good to replace the whole tensioner as well!
