On mine the oring + oem gasket didnt work I went with custom cutring gasket from Gemoflan race gaskets and it works amazing Pushing 1.7 bar ,it made 502 whp and 700nm
Would be easier if you had used mm given its a metric block. 4mm is easier to work out than .0120' I can't see a link for the tool to buy it? Would love it for redblocks
I work in a machine shop. Hass machines only know thousands of an inch so my brain goes to thou as a default 🤪 I’ll add in the Isky racing cams groove o matic to the description for you !
The O-ring concentrates the cylinder head clamping pressure around the fire rings of the head gasket and helps prevent the gasket from being pushed out in that area
That vacuum simply isnt enough, some shavings mustve fallen into the oil passage, same could be said for the shavings from o-ringing. The only proper way to remove them would be to send it to mschine shop to get cleaned again.
That’s just to keep the cutting groove clean while cutting the orings. The block will be scrubbed and all oil galleries will be cleaned with pipe cleaners and soap before final assembly

Will you be welding the coolant channels in the head? Would love to see the peening process on that!

Why not just get a M30?
Keeping the original engine for the e30
