In this video, I talk about one of the most versatile moves in basketball. That move is called the float dribble. Its one of the skills that numerous elite players like Steph Curry, Paul George, Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Isaiah Thomas use. This move can be done at any level and the versatility of this move can take you a long way. The move is really simple, but I try my best to break it down for you guys.

Most NBA clips where someone does a float, a hezi, or a in and out dribble, you'll see a ton of comments saying "carry" or "travel." Occasionally, you'll even get respected NBA streamers saying the same things. This kind of commentary is really annoying to see all over the internet. Regardless, thank you for providing some real basketball education to the internet. We need more of this so we can have more intelligent discussions.

There's some overlap between the two, but you can also "float" dribble while running at full speed. A float only becomes a hezi, when the pace of movement changes with the float.
