It is "matchful" to negotiate the Stad Ship Tunnel by Norwegian Cruise Line. The Vikings would go via there if they were alive nowadays. Thanks to Kystverket for having the massive project break ground! Hallelujah!
N0rway is going to build the world's very first full-scale ship tunnel! The tunnel will be 1.7 kilometers long (2.2 km including the entrance area), 50 meters high and with a width of 36 meters - which means that vessels up to the size of Kystruten and Hurtigruten will be able to safely sail past the challenging Stadlandet.
probably they will plan travels for to and fro routes, a green/red light options with sensors that the route is busy may be...followed by shared ship route plans EDIT:, just watched the video further, and they say alongside the simulations they have tested a model of digital traffic control ....so a practical one will be in place ofcourse
I been around the Stadt sea, it can be very frisky, this tunnel, if built, will be very welkome by many.

How would you monitor who has the right of way to and from either side?

it's not that revolutionary. $200 million waste of money.
Did u watch the video?
Not revolutionary, definitely useful.
@@mattbosley3531have you ever seen tunnels for ships?
