I think the wind direction has something to do with cvs, they do sometimes oddly turn when starting planes. Not for amphibious ships and vtols but Nimitz Class and Orel Class.
Does the default global map have airfield locations in place or city names populated by country? Can you edit or add them to the map via a database edit?
Do I understand correctly that there is no possibility to assign a home base to a flight group? So if a mission takes a long time there is no way to send them home? (which leads to their crash)
Very helpful. One question, how do you randomize spawns so as a mission creator you dont know what may spawn. Having say 5 ships spawn at say 20% probability means you could have 5 ships spawn potentially, instead of randomly 1 of 5 ships spawn.
I really didn't know there could be an even worse trigger system than the one from DCS World. But oh boy, Sea Power has me a whole brewery of beer to hold.. Very sad, that this basic overview already shows nearly everything that is doable with this trigger system. No spawning of groups using triggers, not being able to tell airbases to launch aircraft via triggers, only the teleport feature, but maybe the teleported aircraft will be out of fuel when the trigger fires. No way to tell a unit to attack a specific group, no way to have waypoint loops for patrol routes, Heck, not even a way to change units speed or altitude when they reach a specific waypoint. I REALLY hope this editor is just a very quick and dirty placeholder and gets replaced by a real editor soon.
Ive made a mission where i needed to liberate kuwait and some of the land enemy unite in the objective zone just rolled in the persian gulf 🤦♂️ i cant find them now
thank you or this. so i can have an airgroup get smashed, "respawn" a few times and then maybe a boss level. if we do not want any chance of the player to realise whats coming is there any main issues with have a group of aircraft thousands of miles away and then having them teleport a hunder miles away sort of thing?
High Value Unit means the unit is the center of the mission and needs to be protected at all costs. Like an aircraft carrier in a carrier battlegroup, or a logistic supplier, or a landing platform dock, or merchant vessels escorted through dangerous waters, etc. Every other unit in the formation is for the protection or support of the HVU. Without the HVU the mission is lost because a carrier battlegroup is useless in it's deployment when the carrier itself is sunk or out of action in any other form. Edit: a submarine with it's active sonar on? Are you serious? xD That NEVER happens, unless in a life or death situation where a target acquisition needs to go faster then normal for a torpedo attack, which consists of a single active sonar ping. A sub with a ping is like saying "hey, I'm here, I don't care anymore just get me already" and would get any sub captain fired.

No commentary text, and no ID callsign spoken, so theres a damaged or potentially sinking ship somewhere under fire, and other than zooming around the map to manually check each ship, i have no idea how you will deal with it. So, I just thought, hang on, that is going to be very difficult to figure out whats going on with everything, aircraft too, and well, unless they fix this then I would rather avoid playing it. Hope they do something about it, as this game does have huge promise. Of course, if theres a way around it or something i've missed I'd love to hear about it.

@ yeah, I’d like to make my own load outs for aircraft, and vessels based upon my own experiences and missions… why have full load of tomahawk LAMs when you’re in a surface engagement mission, or at least have fewer onboard and more harpoon or tomahawk in vls or even on Iowas Box launcher. Tbh, I don’t remember if the box launchers could have other than land attacks anyway it’s been so long

Problem with playing my own mission is I know exactly where everything is. I wish we could randomize the spawn location

Can you change weapons load outs? Or are they hard coded?
The weapon loadout looks locked here too from the look of that interface. I wonder if there's a config file workaround...
