    Uh, ok I’m going to try this now. I’ve reviewed it twice, took notes, and will pair HS to Goldwing, turn off iPhone Bluetooth, and after HS pairs, will plug in iPhone. I’m an electrician, and am used to diagrams of very complex equipment, yet this is a little intimidating. Thanks for the video.

    Getting paired to the bike seems to only be the beginning! The order you turn things on seems to be important as well… for me, the bike on first then launch the headset and wait for pairing to complete, (if you have the radio set to play, you will hear that after a minute or so), then plug in your iPhone. Seems to work every time for me, but your result may be different! Is there any way to be able to use the Sena app on your phone if you have not paired your phone to the Sena? I have not tried pairing the phone to the bike because i use the cable… Also, A little trick, if you have to stop for gas say… instead of turning off the bike and having to go through all of the above again, if you turn the bike to accessory the engine stops but the connections remain up… then when ready to restart the bike turn to accessory again and you can start the bike without loosing your connection. Cruiseman… “always great Goldwing information!”

      Michael, no need to leave the bike on ACC. Just don’t turn off the headset while you’re gone. Everything comes right back up after 5-30 seconds of bike power on. I’ve frequently walked into the C-Store with my helmet on, come back to the bike, and all remains connected. Lunch, same routine. The key is not to turn off the Sena.

    Hello Cruiseman,
    I am writing to you from Belgium.
    I have ordered my new Goldwing 2021 Tour Deluxe DCT (Candy Red). It will be delivered in mid July.
    I used to ride a BMW K1600 Grand America.
    I have two Shoei Neotec 2 helmets with SENA SRL-2 for my wife and I.
    I never managed to make proper connections on my BMW, I hope it will be easier on the Honda.
    What do you recommend?
    Connect the SENA systems directly to the Honda and the phone to the bike as well?
    Thank you very much and congratulations again for your videos.

      If you plan to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto you do not need to pair your phone to the Goldwing.

      Good luck with the GW. I have the same one. I also had the K1600GA. Same issues. You will have no problems after you set the headset and phone first time. Never fails on me. Bike on first, head set second, wait till screen shows connection, then plug the phone( Bluetooth should be on on the phone). Works for me like a charm.

      Je moet je Sena met Honda koppelen en je moet je telefoon met Honda koppelen. Koppel niet je Sena met je telefoon ! Want dan als je bijvoorbeeld een telefoontje krijgt kan de persoon aan de andere kant jou niet horen. Ik heb dat probleem een paar weken gehad met mijn Honda goldwing 2021 bagger.

    Hi. Thanks for this explanatory video. What would be the purpose or benefit of pairing the phone to the Goldwing?

    • @cruisemansgarage
      @cruisemansgarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you wanted to use your phone as a music source for MP3 files or Spotify, but NOT use Android Auto or CarPlay.

    Thanks for the video Cruiseman. Question: can you have the audio play through the speakers and headset at the same time, or is it only one or the other? Thanks.

    Ok so if I understand correctly if I had my Sena 50R paired previously to my iPhone delete that pairing? Then re-pair it to the bike using PHONE pairing? (Not media or GPS pairing?) and then maybe I’ll get Apple Car Play!!!

    Is the purpose for pairing both rider and passenger headset to your goldwing only to hear audio from your goldwing? Does this allow you to chat with your passenger also? Or is the only way you can chat with your passenger require you to connect via intercom? I'm looking for a more stable way to connect to my passenger sena without drops in the connection.

      No, you can chat without pairing. It is just for the Goldwing audio.

    Has anyone done this same process with the Sena 50R and a 2022 Can Am Spyder?

    How do you answer a call if you don't pair cell phone to 50R?

    • @cruisemansgarage
      @cruisemansgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      You would need your cell phone plugged into the bike and use CarPlay or Android Auto to answer the phone.

    After the headset(s) is/are paired successfully, should the iPhone also be paired in some similar fashion? I have just used the hard wire connection for the phone with the phone serving as one of the audio iputs and to allow CarPlay.

      Rooster, I turn off Bluetooth on the phone while using CarPlay. If on, the phone wants to connect to the Sena app which occasionally screws things up. CarPlay gives you full phone functions while connected via cable, with no need for a Bluetooth connection.
