Collective Soul is a band about pure positivity, love, connecting and peace. And of course, fun! It's about time people discover their greatness on the internet... since the radio only plays "Shine" over and over. I'm 20 years old and I found this prolific band on TH-cam last year. I am bipolar and they saved me from committing suicide last year. And now, I have meet and greet passes so I can thank the band soon for what they did for me and what they accomplish in their songs. Collective Soul. They are a band you'll never forget once you discover their musical abilities and power. Oh, it helps that they're southern gentlemen, too :)
Been loving them since their original days... you could do far, far worse than Collective Soul. It's strange that in their day the critics hated them for the very reasons you love them. Their positive, original, uplifting message shows through most of their songs. Amazing to see they provided a ray of light in your dark times and helped you choose life. Please remember that no matter how hard things get, it is only momentary and will always get better.
Hahaha you don't know underrated music then...Check out for American Music Club. Arab Strap, Codeine, 3lb thrill. Collective soul shine in the radio stations in the mid of 90's with singles as "december", "shine", "Heavy" so Not are a underrated band dude. this not are underground music. American music club is a good sample of underrated tag. They shine for the critic but not for the radio! Greetings from Colombia - South America
I never seem to hear a song from this amazing group that doesn't impress. They had a range of amazing songs. Their standards were always very high indeed. Love this song. Others too.
Still have a range of amazing songs. They are still making new music. Their most recent album “Vibrating” came out last year and they have a new album due out next year for their 30th anniversary.

I loved “Shine” for years. I’m only now realizing all their songs are that good! I wasn’t old enough to remember them in the 90s. So glad I’m finding it now! 😀
I was cheated on and lied to a few years back. I listened to Seven Year Itch every day, many times per day. Hearing this song here kinda brings it all back. We have to face life alone, one way or another, better we learn now who they really are rather than later. Life's too short to spend it with liars and cheats. Hope this 5 years finds you well.

Dylan Miles O.K. then we're nestalgic music snobbs & proud!!! Yes good music is good music - even today's tunes! Collective Soul had some really well-written, well-performed songs. A top shelf nineties band that deserved more recognition than they received.
I agree! Collective Soul was and always will be one of my favorite groups! They never made a song that wasn't good!
