Formed in Florida, alternative rock band Matchbox Twenty consists of Rob Thomas, Brian Yale, Paul Doucette, and Kyle Cook. The group signed with Atlantic Records in 1995, creating four studio albums including 12x platinum ’Yourself or Someone Like You’ and 4x platinum ’Mad Season’. The band’s debut album spawned the hit singles "Push," "3AM,” "Real World," "Long Day,” and "Back 2 Good” and continued to spit out hits such as "Bent," "Unwell," "If You're Gone," "Bright Lights" and "Disease."

I guess we all found certain confort in those golden years, but is also painful to realize they are gone. But hey, to be fair we have the beautiful present to focus on... Ps: the pandemic/plandemic has also been brutal to all of us, is normal that we are sensitive, but that´s also a sign (hopefuly) that we are more in touch with our spiritual side.

And I do the exact same thing, I find myself just tearing up when I hear a certain song that takes me back there. My best friend committed suicide at 27 years old. Then it seemed like the funerals wouldn’t stop. Thanks for your comment man, I really do appreciate that.

I was bullied a lot as a kid. When this song came out in 1996, and especially after I saw the music video for it, I really connected to it. It was time for me to stop letting people walk over me. I took control of my life.

I was in middle school when this song came out and had the same problem with bullies and people who just treated me like crap. This song really helped me out too and I'm so happy for you! :)
My heart goes out to you Steven and I am glad that you felt empowered to take control of your life.I think bullies are actually criminal and should be prosecuted. If it would make you feel better, I remember Eddie Vetter (lead singer of Pearl Jam) once pointed out to the crowd as they were performing that a lot of the visible crowd contained guys that would bully him when he was in school. I think this shows that the world does turn and the bullies are not the ones always in control.Best to you!
