What a pair❣️ As a 71 year old woman whose brother came out in 1975 it makes me happy that the movement continues 👏🏽. Not only that but it has been more inclusive and able to change. Peace, light, and Love ❤️ to you both.
I really liked it that Ivy spoke about how the women’s movement and the trans rights movement have similar goals and are intertwined. I think so many people attempt to set the two movements against each other, and I love the calm and rational and sweet way she made that point. I love both of you, and I think you make a wonderful team. You’re good complements to each other; you bring out one another’s brightness and beauty.
Nothing in common. Trans movement for a child is encouraging mental illness. Imbsorry, there are so many that regret this decision that is life altering. Social pressures from the insane fringe has taken over by shaming people to stop and deny all common sense. This can have devastating consequences.
@@gabrielleferris952 and this boy is a child who received no help for him to stay healthy mentally as who he is (which is a boy). Smh. What in tarnation is the world coming to when the parents won't even stand for normalcy.
As a Medical Biochemist, Ivy is absolutely making the right moves in her transition by not yet taking hormones or having surgeries. Before taking anything which could affect her fertility, it is a great idea to speak to a hormone/fertility specialist .... A friend's transitioning daughter was recommended to have the necessary things frozen for future child opportunities. Bless her, this is not an easy route either physically or mentally but having you 100% behind her makes the world of difference. Fortunately, she has also inherited your pretty face so she's going to be a cracker!!
I loved how your heads were connected all the time moving to the the other one. That gesture said e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!!!! How you shared your thoughts, feelings, struggles and decisions is something so powerful and brave. Love won! I hope the same for all the families that have similar stories and the whole society. I love that Carla and Ivy spoke about how this is a process that is ongoing and the most important thing is to work towards acceptance and support. This is important for people to understand that there are difficult moments (ie: changing Nate to Ivy on the phone) and to think through thoughts before verbalizing. I understand the fear of worrying about what difficulties Ivy may face because I have a 38 yr daughter with a developmental disability and I am always in varying states of worry. Thank you both for speaking out and helping other's. P.S. Ivy, I would raid mom's closet too!
Everytime I see a video you do with Ivy or about Ivy I smile and worry at the same time. I smile because I love how supportive you are and how close you are. I worry because this world is so mean at times. These days there are so many people that feel they have the right to tell others how to live and judge people they don't understand. As I've said in other posts as a parent we want the easiest and happiest life for our children. I wish there was a way to protect our children from the cruelties of the world. As always I wish you and your family the best. Maybe people can learn from your relationship.
I hate to speak for all of us but I have found that the closet is often the place where so many of us women first find ourselves. Such wonderful positive messages here that can also be applied to other situations in life. Carla is such a positive influence in many aspects and has helped me to embrace celebrating myself through fashion and this is just another testament of how amazing she is. Love you Carla and Ivy! ❤️

Carla, the way you explained as a parent, was both honest and forthright and refreshing too. So many parents freak out with their kids whether it's because of a sexual identity issue or a simple case of getting tattoos. They react so quickly, no wonder kids don't want to talk to their parents. Parents need to take a deep breath, reason within their own heart and mind, then patiently listen. Listening is the key. I applaud you for doing just that. I applaud Ivy too, for knowing what she wanted her life to be and knowing that Mom is still going to be Mom and it's okay to find their way together. P. S. What a beautiful pair! Not to mention the strain of doing this in Greg Abbott’s Texas…wealth is a great barrier to having the hateful state government refer you to family services! Best of luck to these two beautiful women.
I am a dedicated follower of Carla’s and feel so much respect and admiration for her as a Mother. I have gained huge inspiration for her as an influencer, firstly in how to work your wardrobe and now as an advocate for normalising social change ( gender identity). Look what she’s achieved with Ivy - a grounded and confident teen, who I also now celebrate. Following them together is beyond inspiring. They’re a fun, funny and fashion forward duo. ❤❤
Hello Carla While we wait for your exciting draw, i am trying to get Bobbie Brown Petal Number 3. Has it been discontinued and if not, what is the brand and colour of the pencil you work your lippy combo with ? Seems to have been discontinued….🌸🌸🌸
Ivy and this glass skin 😍 It's going to be hard enough with transitioning, but when you are your mom's twin, people compare the two. Hopefully, Ivy will be able to live and her own person.
thank youuuu! lots of words + feelings (all good//helpful) so for now, i'll just say thank you - to both you _and_ Ivy. i appreciate the representation more than you now. 🖤✊🏾
Cuties! I love y’all’s relationship 😌 Everyone deserves a supportive mum, I wish everyone had a Mum as cool as Carla! Or a daughter as tremendous as Ivy 🥰
WOAH! That was a creepy little glitch there at 4:20... Good luck & best wishes to both Carla & Ivy! Hope to see more of Ivy's evolution in Carla's YT Shorts &other content too - SO exciting... Thanks for being open & transparent, it could help other parents/kids somewhere down the road. As always, Live & Let Live and Harm None!
I. LOVE. THIS❣❣❣ Ivy, your CONFIDENCE is like a breath of fresh air. And, much needed at this time, thank you, BEAUTIFUL Angel 😇 ...keep shining your light!
WELCOME to the world of Transmotherhood! I identify as non-binary post menopause. I’m 55 and have always been androgynous but I wouldn’t have been able to identify this way without my trans daugher. Henry became Paige 3 years ago in college. She is still struggling to launch into the world as a trans woman but she has an amazing support system of friends and two amazing partners!
Unfortunately I have 2 people in my life who transitioned from male to female and are now detransitioning. They have to deal with mutilated bodies and scarred minds. It hurts me to see that transitioning did not work for them. I wish they got some mental health guidance before they underwent the transitioning.

Bless all who are contemplating this big decision.
I just love both of your journeys! Carla you are such a pillar of support for Ivy and you can tell how comfortable she is speaking about her journey. Also, I love that you both let each other speak to their own feelings. Your acceptance and love shine through in everything you do! Ivy is a very lucky girl
I have always loved your videos, however my favorite videos now is are the video's with Ivy in them. Love you both.😘
I love how natural you are with your Girl the two of you are just the best And brave for speaking up if there was only more people like you two xxx love Joan Ireland
❤❤
Hello Carla
While we wait for your exciting draw, i am trying to get Bobbie Brown Petal Number 3. Has it been discontinued and if not, what is the brand and colour of the pencil you work your lippy combo with ? Seems to have been discontinued….🌸🌸🌸
Ivy is adorable! Love that she speaks to intersectionality of the feminist movement!
What. A. Joy watching the two of you together. The epitome of love. Xo
Ivy and this glass skin 😍
It's going to be hard enough with transitioning, but when you are your mom's twin, people compare the two. Hopefully, Ivy will be able to live and her own person.
I love them. So glad they came onto the show. Great advocates.
thank youuuu! lots of words + feelings (all good//helpful) so for now, i'll just say thank you - to both you _and_ Ivy.
i appreciate the representation more than you now. 🖤✊🏾
kkkkkknow** i meant. 🤦🏾♀️ 😅
I love you both. Thankyou for your sincerity and bravery. Xxx ❤️
Ivy looks so pretty and acts so kind. You two are awesome! Love watching you ❤
Thank you so much!!
What an excellent interview. Ivy is her mom’s twin. I’m glad that she chose Ivy as her name. It’s a cool name.
You two are truly beautiful. I wish my mom was like that when I came out. Our relationship never fully recovered.
Sending love and healing ❤️❤️
I’ve been watching you all for ages but today is the day that I’ve finally subscribed! Keep shining, you make everyone’s day xxx
Ivy speaks so well for being so young (still in high school right?!) & speaking on a delicate topic in an interview! Shout out to her 💅
Cuties! I love y’all’s relationship 😌 Everyone deserves a supportive mum, I wish everyone had a Mum as cool as Carla! Or a daughter as tremendous as Ivy 🥰
At the end of the day, it’s your child and you want them to be happy and healthy.
Ivy is an amazing woman very mature and confident, beautiful too. Can’t have been easy but Carla is a great support for her daughter 👏🏽👏🏽 ❤️❤️❤️✨✨
How lucky for Ivy that she’s the same shoe size as her mother… I love Carla’s shoe collection 🙌🏾😂😂😂

“Process” This is my only time I’ve clocked Carla’s Canadian accent ;D Love to hear it!!!
Carla keep talking about the parent’s experience because I think that the thing you say are so important.
Sending you and Paige love and support ❤️❤️
Unfortunately I have 2 people in my life who transitioned from male to female and are now detransitioning. They have to deal with mutilated bodies and scarred minds. It hurts me to see that transitioning did not work for them. I wish they got some mental health guidance before they underwent the transitioning.
Your both beautiful, strong women!
