Fold 4 User here... it's holding up well after 2 years of oil field, flat bedding, and outside maintenance work in the sun.
These phones last as long as you take care of them. It does look better, but not enough of an upgrade to warrant the purchase.
Also my phone came with AI updates about a week before they dropped the release for these phones.
Wow. I was skeptical about that when i had mine. I babied it but ended up getting rid of it. On the other hand we had a mechanic come in and do some work and he had a fold too but no case no nothing and im sure it wasn't a new phone so it does make a name for itself. I regret getting rid of it
How's your hinge holding up I got the 4 as well love the phone but opens 180 degrees not the whole way flat and I don't abuse it
Bro same here got the fold 4 day it came out was looking forward to upgrade to the fold 5 then I saw it looked identical then looked forward to the 6 and same shit smh .I would love to have a cool looking new fold but Samsung just keeps making the same shit. Also I had to get a replacement for my fold 4. Software update I think broke it and wifi antenna quit working completely. Other than that the hardware itself no issues

how was your overall experience with the zf3? I'd like to upgrade from my s22+ and am kind of looking at options I haven't considered before. I'm just kind of skeptical on its durability, I feel like it would be easy to break if you aren't careful. I'm an aircraft mechanic so all my shit get 's pretty beat up after a while lol.
@codyglisczinski8680 I love it, but you have to baby the inside screen. It's not as durable, I've dropped a screwdriver on it and cracked the screen. $350 to fix it, no insurance. But I'm getting insurance this time.
@BryanOwens I'd get insurance too, that phone is not cheap! Was your previous one atleast decent with keeping like dirt and debris out of the phone screen when it's folded?
I am still rocking the Fold 4. The 5 wasn't enough to get me to upgrade but I think think the 6 might be!!! I also have the Later Case for my Fold 4 and I will never have another case. This thing feels like there isn't a case on it at all but being carbon fiber, it really does a great job of protecting the phone. It is slightly more expensive when compared to other quality cases but worth every penny since ,in my opinion, it is the highest quality. I usually go through multiple phone cases over the life of my phones but even after having it for over a year it still looks like it did on day one. Your customer service is fantastic as well. I work with fiberglass so I have to take my case off regularly to clean. The adhesive wore out a long time ago and when I reached out to try to buy some, they offered to send me a couple of them at no charge. I had them within a week. Hopefully you continue to operate a top notch company and I will never buy another phone case again.
P.S. I would love to pay for a pack of adhesive strips. I work in a factory so I literally pop my case off once a week to clean and sanitize it and the phone.
I'm still on the fence. I also have a fold 4 but I feel like they're pretty close to putting better cameras and maybe a bigger outer display. I'm gonna punch myself if the z fold 7 has all those things, but I also don't know if I wanna wait another year lol
I also have a fold 4. I went to bestbuy to checkout the fold 6. I'm definitely upgrading. On paper, it doesn't seem like a big difference, but the hinge feels so much nicer. The phone feels more solid and feels a lot thinner.
@@darriusholt How about the width of the cover display compared to the fold 4? i had a fold 4 but the cover display was too narrow and i got sick of always having to unfold for every little thing cos of that so i got the S24 ultra instead and tbh i dont miss the fold. They are really nice devices though. Was really good for DS and 3DS emulators lol

I don't use the adhesive tape because they never really hold the phone, but they will stick to the phone whenever you are gonna change the case, and its a real pain to get it off the phone.
I remember i used a case with one for the flip 3 and even with alcohol wipes it still left a residue that slightly changed the color no matter what i did. You couldn't feel any residue but you could tell something had been there.

I think so. once you see the size comparison, their size is exactly the same except the thickness by 0.2mm when folded. yours will fit both models.
The Fold's blue is so nice! Wish the Flip came in the same blue.

I'd pick the ZF6 even though Samsung not giving us the consumers what we want. SAMSUNG GIVE US THE THE S24U AS A FOLD!!!! 6.5"- 6.7" external 8.1" - 8.3" internal display top tier cameras & faster charging w/ bigger battery, built-in spen & support both screens.
You ready to pay $3k for a phone then? The S24 Ultra is their flagship, they're not giving you all that.

Look Huawei, Vivo the list goes on they're phones are bigger better cameras faster charging on and on and way cheaper. Samsung is just greedy and isn't the company they used to be in the 2000s. They ZF6 or any of them foldable phones they make cost them maybe $450 to produce now that they've made the money back from R&D. This year the phone shouldn't have gone up $100 it should have gone down $300 for the BS none improvements they made. Oh let's charge them an extra $100 for AI because we're not going to start charging people until the end of 2025.

I'm in Canada and I have the fold 5, it was close to 3k here lol 😅 so no I don't care about all the extra stuff the ultra has. I love the fold, but if I wanted the ultra I'd get the ultra. I love the huge screen and multi tasking ability.

I would be getting the fold 6 in navy. I have a fold 3 in green right now and have been in love with it. The only issue is that the pixels on the inner screen have started to die in the middle of the fold. The pixels for the camera is great but I love the big screen for watching videos and playing games like clash of clans.

So I'm legally blind and currently have an S22 Ultra. I need to increase the font to the max but when I do that, many texts overlap and some buttons on apps are pushed entirely off the screen and I cant click a button unless I lower the font size. Also, the keyboard is very hard for me to see. Would I be able toi use the new Fold with a little more ease?

all iPhones look and work the same way . Apple uses nearly the same chassis and internals for 5-6generations ( from iPhone 12 to 16 and from iPhone 6 to SE3 ) at least Samsung and google try out new things giving you other options aside from just slab phones

That new Z Fold 6 looks so good but I wonder if it will work with the backbone controller? That is the only thing that may stop me from getting it. I currently have the S22 Ultra and I use it with the backbone ever now and then. It's a nice way to mobile game but I play my Switch and PS5 much more.

I've been using the fold 4 and I won't go back to a normal phone. The amount of screen space for emails, Web pages and TH-cam is amazing.
I've dropped this thing so many times and it hasn't missed a beat and the internal screen has lasted the whole time.
Cant wait to update to the 6.

I use Samsung Galaxy A80 and it works just as good as it did 5 years ago when it was new but I am still thinking of replacing it the next year or two. The only problem is that there isn't anything wrong with A80, it isn't slow, it is undamaged, I still have many GBs of space left and the phone's battery is still good enough. Of course battery has taken the biggest blow of all the components over the years but it still works good enough since I used it sparingly.

I'm on the fold 5 now and looking dead on you can no longer see a crease at all. I'm sure it's even more refined in the 6 but you can't really judge from a video. If I tilt the screen weird I still see it but i have no complaints tbh.
