    Dope review. The boom seems really solid, excellent for heavy duty mics

      @@MatthewStratton I got the rode psa1 just because it's the tried and true...I like the look of the blue but I know the psa1 works.
      I was wondering about the innogear being half the price.

      @@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan I'm really happy with the InnoGear. Been using it for a few months and it works great. I like finding good quality at a lower price point.

    I came straight here from the Think podcast Matthew, thanks for that. It feels like I'm in a very long dark financial tunnel right now... thanks for being a light! Also, by bizarre coincidence my very next shoot tomorrow is for the innogear arm(!)
    Can I ask - no need for a reply - did you remove or unlist any of your earlier videos to niche down?
    Thanks again, subscribed!

      Thanks for the comment! I only removed 2 videos that I can remember from my channel. One was about Solar Panels LOL. If you got to the Videos section of my channel and put the videos in order by oldest first you can see my old stuff.

      You're welcome. Haven't seen the LogiLink AA0127 in person, so it is hard to say. Looks okay from they video I just watched.

    Could I please get some written guidance step by step for attaching a blue yetti microphone to this thing? Just got mine today and am having difficulty figuring this part out. Access technology and text-to-speech software are allowing me to type out my comment by myself; I'm totally blind, so any pictures that could be part of the instructions are unhelpful. Thanks.

    "Little bit of effort to move around" - Understatement of the day. Mine has *ridiculous* tension on the hinges. I have the larger stand (wanted something nice and sturdy for my SM7B), and I literally cannot collapse or extend the hinges without using both arms and a fair amount of hutzpah. That there is no adjustment to fine-tune that tension is easily my biggest complaint, and has me wishing I'd have bought the Rhode, even at twice the price.

    • @MatthewStratton
      @MatthewStratton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would imagine that the larger one is a bit more difficult to move.

      @@MatthewStratton Update: After living with it for a few days, I disassembled, and shot some WD-40 into the elbows, then worked them limit to limit a dozen or so times. now it is *much* easier to maneuver (one hand no problem) and it still sticks like glue when and where I release it. No drift, no sag, no self-rise. It's perfect. I have used it thereafter for weeks and it works flawlessly. I officially have zero complaints. Thanks again!

      @@Craig-ib7gk do you remember how you disassembled this arm? i just got one today and its super stiff; and i cant seem to open up the elbows to get to the springs..

    • @Craig-ib7gk
      @Craig-ib7gk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dysie By 'disassembled', I mean I removed the mic and chord, unclamped the arm, and took outside on my patio. I didn't actually disassembly the physical arm apparatus. Btw. use that WD-40 *sparingly*. Over time mine is loose enough that the top spring raises the mic at the slightest touch unless I counter-weigh it with an ounce or so on the lower bar just behind the end-hinge. mag-wheel weights ftw.
