Just another boom arm review video. This boom arm microphone stand is from Innogear. I do an unboxing plus how to setup the boom arm as well.
It seems like the promo ended, but the boom arm is still listed for $40.

@@MrDarkcore Hello, can you tell me how long the clamp is? I want to know if I can put it in my desktop. Thanks in advance.

@@FranciscoEspinozaTAV you referring to the clamp width or the actual length of the c clamp?

@@FranciscoEspinozaTAV the part where you clamp to a desk is 0 to 2” and the clamp size is 3.25” x 1.25” x 4” inches. Hopefully that helps.

    I think I have a boom arm problem! 😂

Thanks for this tutorial! I just bought mine and the tension is so tight I have to fight it to open/extend and close the arm. Suggestions?

I can try. Is it completely set up? Like cable managed and mic hooked up?

I apprectiate you,@@MrDarkcore - I got it all set up, but the mic is too heavy. Womp. Womp. Soooo...I'm biting the bullet and getting the Rode arm. Thanks for trying.

I had this same issue, and I'm using a 1.1lb mic- so not too heavy by any means. Incredibly stiff, next to impossible to adjust... and within 2 days the final tension screw for the mic simply gave up. Mic slowly sags down despite the tension screw being as tight as humanly possible. :( Seems like a hit/miss depending on who assembled it and how tightly they adjusted the joints. (I asked innogear and they would not cover my return if I attempted to rectify the tight joints.) Unfortunate!

I just bought this and the arm resonates really bad if I tap my finger anywhere on it. And then even if I tap my desk I can hear my mic pick up the resonance from the boom arm. Has this happened to you? How would I fix it?

That’s a common problem with a lot of boom arms. I just try not to touch it. 😂 You could try to put some extra thin foam/silicone padding where the camp connects to the desk. Other than that idk, I would have to mess around to see what works.

@@MrDarkcore yeah I found out that actually having the pop filter clamped onto the arm (in the only place it could reach the mic properly) was making it resonate really bad for whatever reason. I'm guessing because it's a metal pop filter that does seem to ring out if I tap on it, and having that secured tightly to the boom arm transfers that energy to the mic somehow.
