Upgraded from an older 18v kit. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.
The inside of this drill looks like someone used it for a boat anchor. It's quite impressive to see something this bad be brought back into useful service. One less in the landfill is also a big win in my book as well.
Thanks! I'd previously have considered this a waste of time. You've inspired me to do something similar in order to upgrade a cheap set of these things in a batch while learning how to do some things I need for a project, win, win, win!
You're just a magician, it's unbelievable what job you're doing. A small point I want to emphasize is that you apply too much grease,If the engine runs hard for more than a few minutes the grease will start to heat up and may become slightly liquid,My advice to you is to apply less grease. Thanks for the fun and instructive video.
шуруповерт с виду стремный но внутри весьма достойный ударный механизм и внушительных размеров двигатель,интересно раньше делали,макита приятно удивляет
Excellent work and recovery as always !!! Standing ovation !!! Only here subtitles would not interfere with the video so that it could be translated, I don’t know Russian and English, but I’m very interested in your videos, I just have to guess a lot !!
You need to do some sanding and polishing on the plastic housings of the things you take apart to make them look more like brand new because they will be shinier and have fewer imperfections and scratches as well as doing the same thing to the carry case
Great to see the Sand Blaster. I think if available, you should get some spare motor shells, some of them looks really degraded by rust. As always great Video.
I understand why you used mostly all the original parts But the battery & the motor should be the first thing you should be replacing. Trust me it would be worth it
As power tools lover and repairer, I enjoy all ykur videos. I have two question... You cleaned plastic housing so good with only baking soda? And why motor became black after sanding? Thank you
The FitnessGram Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal bodeboop. A sing lap should be completed every time you hear this sound. ding Remember to run in a straight line and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark. Get ready!… Start.
great job, could you start listing the tools you use and where a person could get? i'm a tool nut and i have noticed you have some interesting tools. thanks
Muy buen video me encantan. Donde conseguiste un extractor de baleros tan pequeño. (Very good video I love them. Where did you get such a small bearing puller.)
How does the motor handle the nominal voltage of the lion cells vs the nicad packs. I smiled when you wrote 12v 3ah but with continued use is it likely to affect the motor/electronic components?
A 9.6V pack running on 12V will heat up more under load and might let the smoke out if you don't give it time to cool. Under lighter loads it doesn't really matter.
Love this vid! That’s a pretty cool makita. I have some questions where did you find new labels or did you make those? Also does the new lithium charger charge batteries slower than than the regular charger?
I am very curious, how you manage to pull out over 13V from 3 li-ion cells connected in series assuming that VTC5A is not a high-voltage cell and you use an standard BMS board designed for 12.6V max.
too much grease O.o OMG but nice repair of that poor old thing i think it was rather expensive in that time.... and it's still pretty useful! look like it's light and rather powerful! well for the battery i would have do the same setup as original so with 18350 instead of 18650 but with lithium or whatever modern battery as you did for have the same voltage and way more capacity than originally. also, for your charger not a bad idea but now you have a nicad and a lithium battery charger that are exactly the same don't mix them..... or it's gonna make nasty things.

Hello. Please show in the video where these tools come from and what you will do with them after reconstruction.
Do you restore the briefcases too? It's weird to see a gorgeous restored piece going to a dirty briefcase
Yes, I did. I just want the video short.
From where have you got this old drills everytime? And why are most makitas? Nice work keep going😁👍👍
I believe he lives in Japan, so that may be why so many of the tools he works on are Makita or Hitachi.
He is from Japang dude🤣🇯🇵
Im frm 🇲🇾

Makita is qualiti and you can order the Parts to repare it.

Your upgraded tools are amazing, and your clips are very helpful. I’d like to start with an old festo cdd 9.6 es. Do you recommend 12v?

A 9.6v brushed motor can work with 12v without lose so much longevity

I think the motor is going to wear out faster.

Love this vid! That’s a pretty cool makita. I have some questions where did you find new labels or did you make those? Also does the new lithium charger charge batteries slower than than the regular charger?
Thank you! Yes, I made those label by myself. The new charger is good to charge the battery.

You shouldnt have modify the charger, as long as there is bms it is okay, it cuts off voltage when it reaches 12.6V.

Yes, I'm. It should be less than this.
