Kids are playing games that don’t have a big modding community like fortnite and amogus nowadays. The one exception is Minecraft, but that is sadly being slowly changed by Microsoft.

Do you need a computer to download and do all of this?
Important note about DVD playback: only the earliest Wii models can do this. After a certain point (unfortunately I have no idea when) Nintendo switched to a disc drive that cannot read non-Wii DVDs whatsoever. This measure was actually designed to counter burnt Wii games being played in the drive but in doing so it also removes any compatibility with DVD video discs as well. The drive model is called the "D3-2".
I think a general guide to go by is any Wii that isn't white will probably have this drive. Many white Wiis do as well, however.
Is there a way to check if your Wii can play DVDs? I have a white Wii that can play GameCube games.
@@gustav5473 You just have to throw a DVD video disc in and start up a media player. If it plays, cool, if not then you'll know.

PMEX is my personal favorite Brawl mod. While I haven't tried many Project M mods, PMEX has a good balance of quality and quantity of characters (though anything involving items, including final smashes, often crashes the game)

I just got homebrew on my wii the other day, and I’m super SUPER excited to try these out when I get the chance! I’ve been missing out on so damn much, this stuff is freaking awesome!!!
This was a neat video. I recently homebrewed my wii to turn it into a multi-emulator for older games, so I had no idea what else homebrew could do. Amazing! My wii is soon to be a whole new system.

6:19 I felt that, a couple days ago I wanted to revisit CTGP-R and the channel needed 93 updates.
its a lot quicker to just reinstall it to your wii, than wait for all of it to update.

Didn't think this would be so hard to understand. It's most definitely a lot to remember. I don't think I'll be doing this anytime soon, if I couldn't follow the instructions on how to modify the Sega Mega Drive HDMI console & hack it & add homebrew games, then there's most certainly no way I will ever get homebrew to work on my Nintendo Wii console 🕹️🎮, tutorials are sometimes a bit, tricky I'm not very good at this especially, if this is like doing a Linux kind of tutorial, that you have to follow but most of the time, I have better luck with installing a Linux terminal commands 👍🏿, I did have luck once installing you FL studio and Audacity in the terminal but anyone can do that, this🤷🏿♂️🤔🤦🏿♂️, but this kind of work. It's a real shame you can't just put roms on a SD card fat32, and just play them off the SD card on Nintendo Wii console, I didn't think tutorials would take so long, and be so difficult, I had much more luck with my Nintendo Switch, and I have most of a library of games, but this so I've heard can run graphics16 games, & Sega master system & many others, but the videos are Very 🕹️Cool👍🏿 keep it up.
How did you get your USBLoaderGX to categorize the games like that at the top? Where it says Wii, GameCube, and WiiWare?

I am 11 and I just homebrewed my wii with open shop, Nintendont, and usb loader gx and I must say it was a wonderful idea but the only problem I had encountered doing this was when using d2x cios installer where I kept running into issues but eventually I got everything working
even though the ability to go on TH-cam has been discontinued
i noticed one day TH-cam randomly started working again on the Wii!
after a while though it stopped working again
i love how the switch dock look like.
Just got a wii from good will so haven't modified it yet since no pc. Only Mac and android if you know how from there, that would be cool.

The original white wii has DVD support, only that one I believe

a Wii is pretty cheap to pickup nowadays. I picked up one for 30$ with a controller and a few games
@@defme They're really not that cheap anyjmore. Sure you could argue 70-100 bucks is cheap for any console. But man for a few years after they fell off of relevance (right after wii u launch etc) they were so common you could barely sell them for $20.

You seem to know the most about everything Wii molding do you know why when using usbloader gx I have the black screen problem most of the time but sometimes the game works?
Hi, I desperately want to play the Japanese Wii version of Metroid Prime. So, I came across this channel because someone recommended I look into Homebrew. I'm unsure if this would be a suitable method to play original Japanese game discs. Is it? Also, I read about the risk of so-called "bricking". I'm located in Europe, so I can't simply buy a Japanese Wii... I'm a little lost, to say the least. Would you happen to have any tips on what I can do?

hi. would know about usb backups and rock band instruments? i had really no problem downloading and or backing up my games to access on usb drive, the only thing is I really love my rock band and gh games and when i launch through usb my instruments wont play {except for the guitar which requires no dongle it works with the wiimote.} its driving me batty. thanks for any help you can give ..

I have a question about Japanese GC-games running on a modded Wii. On the Gamecube there was an issue with NTSC-J games making your memory card corrupt. When running an NTSC-J GC game through USB Loader, is it safe to make saves to a virtual memory card?
I would recommend saving to the virtual memory card, as I did experience a corrupted memory card when playing a few of the NTSC-J games. The virtual memory card is safe to use.
