Some of these apps may not be technically considered 'applications' but that doesn't matter! I did your new nintendo 3ds homebrew guide to mod my 3DS, and it was too easy. When i showed it to my friend, he was bamboozled and said that he had to get one, and that i can mod it for him using this method. I just wanted to say thank you Anton, for making my dream come true.

it's crazy how easy you can mod a 3ds now, back in the day I had to use the magnet method with a R4 cartridge, and before that it was even harder

HI! I'm new to this homebrew stuff so sorry if this seems like a stupid question. I was wondering, is there a way to change the 3D banners for NDS games (when using forwarder to home menu)? Specifically, I would love to have the black DS cartridge icon just as when you insert a real one in to the system. Thanks for any info you might have!

I am using old 3ds.
For me, I prefer to use the web instead of the Hshop application because we know that it can cause problems in the root of the 3ds files due to how the app installs the games.
I can't remember exactly what it's called but there's also a Homebrew Pokemon box app that is really good

I was about to test pretendo but my 3ds is low battery and I don't know where the charger is...
for some reason i find that when i install a new title, it immediately overrides a space where i have a badge set instead of going to an actual empty space, and it never used to do that, any idea why?
There’s a limit on how many titles you can have on the 3DS home menu - 300. Unique badges count towards that 300 limit (for some reason). I hope someone finds a proper solution someday, but until then the best solution I’ve found is 3DSBank, also by RocketRobz (the guy behind TwilightMenu++) It lets you create another home menu (or multiple) to escape that 300 limit.
Hello would you make a video how to install wiiflow or get it to work I got softlocked on my wii copying exactly what you did. We were trying to play wii games wbfs but wiiflow wouldn't work. Also could you also show how to backup nand files. Please and thank you

I am new to the 2ds/3ds scene and i have a question
I have a second hand modded 2ds with luma and fbi and i want to upgrade the sd card that came with it(4gb) to a sandisk 128gb (white grey model ) ,is this size ok or does it make the console laggy ? Is the 256gb ok to use ?
Btw , for nds/dsi titles i have a working r4i 3ds flash cart with 32gb sandisk extreme , tested it on this 2ds so the 128gb or even 256gb will be used exclusively for 3ds games using hshop .
Anything over 128GB can lag out the system and cause problems with running certain titles, especially virtual consoles. 256GB is way more than you will ever need as well. My N3DS XL has a 32GB microSD, and that's already perfect for what I do. 3ds games rarely exceed 800 MB or maybe 1GB with software updates. The biggest games are in the 3GB range. That's only a select few however.
If you do end up using a 128 GB card, you will have to format it to a form that the 3DS can read (FAT32). Its easy enough to do.
Also, I wouldn't reccomend r4 cards. They contain timebombs that go off in a year. They aren't dangerous by any means and don't do any damage to the system, but will make the card unusable and you will have to buy a new one. You can set the date back on your system to work around it, or you can use alternative modding methods (which is what i would recommend).

Exactly, my very old yellow r4i gold 3ds card can't function if any ds system is set to a date higher than 2011.

I have 2 questions sort of related to the video; is an upgrade from the old 3DS XL to a new 3DS/2DS XL worth it? (Homebrew wise). If so, where can I find one for a good price?
I’ve just bought a New 3ds so from Vinted, they have a few listings with reasonable prices I don’t however know if it’s worth for an upgrade

how you i keep snicker stream running with wifi on my ds as some ds games turn off wifi when using them
warning for gtb!!: It does have a chance to wipe your badges when used improperly and when you activate it, title badges (like badges used to open certain apps, eshop badges, mii plaza badges etc) will stop working

I have to ask are all of these things on the hshop? or do I have to go ahead and try to download them in a separate way like using my PC and stuff
These things are all independent downloads. You'll have to load the CIA files onto your SD card and use FBI to download them.
Any chance you would ever cover how to play snes roms on the 3ds?
For the odd chance you still need help two months later, either download a Snes9X CIA file and make a folder for your roms or look up how to inject virtual console titles if you have a New 3DS.

So the hshop practically lets you download any title on the 3DS? I want to mod mine cause I owned some games in the past but my mom had taken them and thrown em out and since the eshop is gone I kinda can’t get em back.

Just go online dude. It like super easy
Essentially yes. It doesn't host developer's homebrew titles, but virtually almost any official game you can think of that was ever on the 3DS store is on there, along with select DSiWare.
Does some of them have large storage sizes?
I' am waiting for a mod what unlocks everything on miiplaza there is a mod but after a few tries everything disappears on miiplaza (minigames)

Hey could you do a mac tutorial? People say it’s the same but it’s not filed don’t open on Mac because it says it can’t review the contents of certain folders.
I did it on a Mac, its really easy and you can just find text guides online
Ya but when I try to open certain files it tells me that they don’t work, because of a security thing.

Is there an app that lets you remap 3DS buttons? My R Button has been broken for a year now, and it's just flat out *gone* now, so I need to remap it to the ZR button since I never actually use that.

twlpatch and twilightmenu, dont use video guides there is a easy guide on the twl menu docs
😭 Help‼️Does anyone know why my PC friezes and stays on 4% when I copy Zelda phantom hourglass on the nds folder on the SD card folder📁 It works with other games but every time I try to install phantom hourglass I encounter the same issue… I already tried with 4 different roms and I opened them on Desmume emulator on PC and no problem at all 😞

DONT UPDATE IT!, it will ruin the system, just make sure all of your mods are up to date! Then your 3ds won't get bricked

Should be safe, I modded mine right after Christmas day and it's all good. The last issue was around 7 months ago I think? It was when Nintendo released an updat meant to brick consoles but can be fixed by updating luma

Because you're having problems ima assume you already know the process so ima have to assume the issue you're most likely having is probably trynna turn non gba games into cias. Some romhacks are hacks of actual gba games like pokemon unbound uses fire red as base, which can be turned into cias. However alot of others are made in rpg maker and other similar programs. Aka not from gba games. They're web based from the ground up pc games. Those you cannot turn to cias. So ima assume that's the issue if it's not then just state what you think you did wrong.
But regardless just incase I hit the nail on the head check if the romhacks your getting are actually gba romhacks and not from rpgmaker. It'll usually tell you on the sites of the hacks.

Some romhacks are hacks of actual gba games like pokemon unbound uses fire red as base, which can be turned into cias. However alot of others are made in rpg maker and other similar programs. most good apps come built into twilight menu, but here's the best of what it doesn't include:
pkmn-chest is basically pkhex on the dsi
hiyacfw is a 1:1 replication of the dsi menu that's generally a bit harder to use than twilight menu
nand title manager lets you install apps to hiyacfw or the actual home menu (though the latter is rather risky)
I downloaded the apps in this video through Universal updater but none of the apps work, they just crash :(
