Here's why the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 is the top choice: Clock Speed: The Q9650 has a higher base clock speed of 3.00 GHz, making it faster than the Q6600 (2.40 GHz), Q9400 (2.66 GHz), Pentium E6300 (2.80 GHz), and Core 2 Extreme QX6700 (2.66 GHz). Cache Size: The Q9650 has a larger L2 cache (12MB) compared to the Q6600 (8MB), Q9400 (6MB), Pentium E6300 (2MB), and Core 2 Extreme QX6700 (8MB). A larger cache can improve performance in certain tasks by reducing memory access times. Performance: The Q9650 offers better performance compared to the other options, especially in multi-threaded applications, thanks to its higher clock speed and larger cache.
The most powerful and last processor for this socket is the QX9770, not the QX6700, which is 86% more powerful than the Q9650, but it is rare and its price is very high.

INTEL PENTIUM 4 541 3.20 GHZ SOCKET : LGA 775 Mainboard Model : D945GTP DDR2 RAM GPU : INTEL 82945G WHAT IS THE BEST UPGRADE I CAN DO FOR THE SPECS OF MY OLD PC
I just salvaged the Intel '05 Q6600 core 2 quad SLACR Malay 2.40Ghz/8m/1066/05A L738B001 & Intel '06 Q9400 core 2 quad SLB68 Malay 2.66Ghz/6m/1333/05A L946B263 but I'm running the E5800 also VGA775 socket with only 3x1GB of the lowest frequency ddr3 ram and it works pretty good but I don't game. I didn't even know I had them but what id really like to know is what's the frequency limits on these 45nm processors for UDimm ddr3 ram? Can I get away with 1600mhz or does it even matter at a certain point? My motherboard will only handle 2x4GB or 4x2GB
I'm running a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 on a Dell Optiplex 780 and getting good results for Skyrim SE average 30 FPS with 380 mods installed. I believe, I need a better motherboard than the factory one preferable wanting to use Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 with ASRock G41C-GS LGA 775 Motherboard problem is availability.
Please, nobody follow these recomendations. It is incorrect. QX9650 is a better choice than Q6600. It has unlocked multiplier. There are also 771 socket Xeons that can be modded to 775. But, honestly, for modern use I'd go with an intel i5 CPU. The most modern one you can afford.

Yes, the Q9650 is the best one, but what do you think the best gaming cpu for LGA 775?
im still good with my qx9775 on lga 775 with 12gb of ram

can you explain in more detail why quad core q6600 is better than q9650 because as far as i can find out q9650 is better than q6600
I don't understand either...🙄

How about a Xeon x5460, modded from 771 to 775, that works for me. Played CS:GO, Rocket League, GTA V, Doom 2016 on it, and it's great.
İt is hard to cooling
@@Moon-lf4jj aio cpu coolers are cheap nowadays, 50 dollars for a 10 dollar cpu that only requires a pin jump to go from 771 to 775 is worth it

Yes, the best socket 775 cpu is a socket 771 cpu.
X5450 here. Orevlock to 3.7 GHz playing gears of war 5 now.
Xeon L5420 mod is my favorite processor for this LGA.
After it is C2D 8xxx.
