my folders dont have ini behind them, is this a problem?
Hey, so brief question.
How do I copy the new one? it doesn't want to work right, and I can't copy any of the things from the config document because the document it's in won't let me.
Edit: I should clarify the reason is because I'm trying to change the keybinds. I can't use the omnitools because they require the reload key, which does not work for me.
I'm struggling to see any of the options I changed actually work on my single player island. For example, when I made NoFoundationsRequired true, I still needed to place things on foundations. I even tried a new map, but it still didn't go through. Are there some common mistakes people make when doing this stuff?
You need to make sure that you have it in the right file (Game.ini or GameUserSettings.ini and then make sure you have the heading for structures plus input before all of your changes.
Maybe structures need a base to place them down initially, but once placed, will stay even if the foundation support is removed.

A much easier way to get to the ark save location is going to the game in your steam library and then right clicking it. You will se properties and then click that and then click local files and then browse.

hello i am using a mod called Boss Arena Tweaker and it says to copy and paste these lines into my gus and change as i see fit so i am putting into my saved config gus but when i load up my ark game half of these setting vanish from the gus it keeps like 2 lines not sure what im doing wrong :/

It’s actually not too bad. You can backup your save before you switch just in case, and follow their instructions on the mod page.

I don't understand, I don't have WindowsNoEditor folder S+ is giving me more frustration than it should setting it up why cant it just replace things by default so I don't have to deal with clutter?

Steam considers the page with all config infos as a threat and refuses to redirect me. It happens with steams but also with chrome
Try Microsoft Edge or another browser (i got Firefox it worked for me)

This shouldn’t apply to Epic Games users, should it? Because it looks like that S+ is actually a mod (which I was previously unaware of).
Somebody told me about changing configuration to make it easier to build on a Quetzal platform saddle. I see a lot of builds where people are simply able to place ceilings next to foundations and place foundations under the ceilings. It’s this art that I want to master.

I found this video because even with s+ i could not pick up my things anymore. When i clicked on the link i have had the same sheet and copied it in to the files after that i manually removed the lines with the explanations. Seems it worked. Well most of it..

I'm helping a friend run a server. He's renting it from "ServerBlend". Just figuring out how to modify things on an external source is challenging. I believe I've found the correct path. I believe the trouble I was having, was assuming that the mod would auto-place these settings into the ini file. After further inspection, it did not. :) Thanks!

I only used this mod for the Pickup structure option but it's not there anymore and I don't see an option the enable it in the config settings
Now you can use the in game config option to enable pickup. Now you input: AlwaysAllowStructurePickup=true into your ini file. You technically don’t need this mod for this anymore
What do you mean you can’t get any structures? Do you mean pick them up? If so, now you have to enable the vanilla game setting under server settings like I mentioned above.
