What makes the genesis part 1 map the hardest is that the game devs didn't balanced the missions properly, and tested out them for bugs. The actual Corrupted Master Controller boss fight on alfa is not that hard but grinding out all of those missions to fight him is insane, so you need to resort to cheats. Personally I think that the best balance maps for early/endgame are Aberration, Fjordur, and Lost Island.
Another thing to add to extinction being as hard as it is; it's one of the few maps that mathematically is stacked against you. The highest tier of OSD drop pods have creatures and alphas 3x over the level cap for all waves if i remember right. As a solo player I remember doing them with 12 gigas and a snow owl on standby and still haven't around a 50% fatality rate on those gigas for the purple drops
Make an alt account and make a new tribe. Transfer metal Dino gates from your main to your alt and build fences around the ODS drops. Then log out of your alt account and get back on your main account. When the drop comes down all the corrupt dinos will not be able to destroy the gates because of the offline damage prevented. You can take all the time you need to heal and go to whatever wave you would like.
Well with the recent carchar add it makes it significantly easier. That 100 blood rage stack enhances damage so much not to mention that insane self healing mechanic
4x level. The biggest problem with OSD in single player is that it basically forces you to use destroywilddinos sometimes because pathfinding in ark is so ass
Island under Scorched is WILD. Bosses and caves alone makes it harder. The only thing even remotely hard about scorched is the early game can be unfriendly. Scorched is way easier than the island after about 6 hours of play time.
@@Snellythedog Oh good lol. I was starting to have serious doubts about my ability to get far in Ark if the Island was the easiest map meant for new players to get to grips with the game. The first cave wasn’t too bad. My pack of trained raptors was quite good at wiping out the hordes of trash mobs in my way although I lost a couple of them and had to wait for them to wake up a couple of times but I successfully got the artifact of the Hunter. Unfortunately I was utterly unprepared for the second cave to be a lava cave. My first attempt was an absolute disaster. It’s taken me several hours to breed replacements for the heavy losses I took. I have a lot more water, a ghilly suit, and an Argy in a cryopod because I’m playing single player and plan to force allow flying in caves. I’m not a platformer and refuse to do it if I don’t have to. I don’t know how I’m going to do any of this on my multiplayer character. I guess I’ll have to try to tame a terror bird and use its flapping ability to overcome my aversion to jumping puzzles.
@@mikoto7693 thyla or megalania are pretty good for caves as they can climb walls. If you can get a shadowmane even easier because of their jump being extremely good.
@@Snellythedoggetting the artifact of the strong before cryos was painful. Either breed wolves and raise them in the entrance or be Spider-Man with grapple hooks.
The early game on Scorched is extremely rough, but the sheer amount of objectives required to complete the Island's end game should def bump it higher on the list--I'd argue higher than Aberration tbh
It’s not harder than Aberration. Early game yes. All of the hostile creatures, the extreme heat, storms, and low amount of water can keep you dying for ages if unlucky. Scorched Earth after that is one of the easiest maps. Almost pitifully so. Especially once you get a wyvern. All of the caves are easy too. The Manticore is probably the easiest boss as well. You don’t even really need Rexes for it. Just lightning wyverns. On average Aberration is harder for a lot of folks simply because of the limited tame pool and no fliers. It doesn’t get easier until you get a Drake, which isn’t that easy of a task unless you’re a veteran, lucky, or go overkill and bring a Spino army down there or something. It’s a shame that it’ll be easier in ASA due to the low render distance (at least on Official).
As someone whose favorite story map is scorched I can somewhat understand the rating especially if you're going in with a new character as the early game is really punishing; but as soon as you got a decent foothold it's difficulty drops dramatically.
The island is harder than scorched earth. sure the early game on scorched is rough, but the sheer grind and caves and stuff you gotta do to beat the island makes it harder imo
I’d argue Gen2 is not the easiest simply due to the fetch missions💀 Past that there is a no tek suit mod on steam and I highly recommend it, Makes the map incredibly harder, Outside of that Gen2 is just a lengthly but easy map
@@cham3leon5 That to, Honestly it makes the map brutal assuming you don’t immediately tame a maewing but even then it’s still drastically harder, And I love it
one thing that makes me say that the island is one of the most difficult would definetely be that the final boss is the most difficult i would say, due to how difficult it is to even get your creatures in to begin with, all the others are just immediatly spawn a boss infront of you or go into a set arena or you have a safe walkway to the boss, on the island for the overseer, you have to get all your creatures in tek cave in 5 minutes, and they are so genuinely dumbfound stupid, that often they will not try to avoid the lava, and then you also have to get through a horde of enemies weakening your dinos but thats beside the point
Thing is its designed for a character that has finished Island, SE and AB meaning they are at least level 150, I had like 500hp 310% melee by the time I started Gen one, so raptors and karpi were no issue what so ever I could kill them with a stone axe if I needed to. What makes Bog an easy start compared to the other maps is all the big tree have metal and obs and crystal right under them, so in less than 2min after joining the map you can already have a smithy down and enough metal for flak armour smelting. As a fresh lvl 1 I could see it being rough but then fresh level 1 character should be on one of the southern beaches of Island, that's what they were made for.
whats a carchar speedrun for extinction? ive been playing all the maps in order, and im about to start extinction soon. i dont have a carchar and i dont know much about extinction
@@ArchieBl3h Just find the carchars on the map and tame them as soon as possible. They're passive tames so although very annoying, you can tame them pretty early on. Even without a saddle, they're great help for most early/mid-game tasks, and you can start breeding them for later use on the titans and tougher osds. Made Extinction a walk in the park.
I think extinction is easier than it looks based on this list, the difficulty comes from mostly the king titan. But generally you're always working hard for anything you do (fighting dinos for osds or element) but at the same time it's insanely easy for resource grinding
Granty took 200 days to finish The Island while he needed less than 100 days to finish Scorched Earth.. Those two are probably swapable keeping in mind that You already have a lot of Engrams in the beginning of scorched as everyone plays it after the Island
I think its a matter of Scorched having far less objectives, but the early game is BRUTAL. So overall its easier and shorter, just far more difficult to get one’s feet up and going
I played both the Island and Scorched Earth back to back recently (with new characters though), and Scorched Earth was by far the easier map. It can take a little time to start up but I was playing with lower than average XP rates, meaning progress should be even slower, making the map harder. However, once you're settled, it's really really easy. Did all the caves on a sabor in contrast to using three or four different creatures on the Island. (icthyosaurus for water caves, megatherium for swamp cave, rex for hard snow cave, wolves and other small creatures for the other caves) . Scorched Earth is still a fantastic map though, and the lesser amount of progression needed felt very nice that time. That was my third playthrough on Scorched Earth at this point.
@@JamesSchulte If we are talking about ASE, Granty is one of the Big names keeping in mind he had 10k ish hours almost 2 years ago xD I get what you meant and I only used him as an example
Been watching ark vids for 8 years. This vid; while i disagree with some. (SE being my favorite map). My daughter fully agrees. You just got my lil girl fully ready to hop into ark at 9 by the way you spoke it. Thank you! My sub guaranteed here out
To give people an idea of how ridiculous the genesis 1 missions are in single player. I literally gave myself God mode using admin commands during an alpha gauntlet mission so I could just stand still and shoot the enemies without having to worry about running around and stuff. And I physically could not kill them all before the time ran out. Doing nothing but just shooting and reloading I could not finish the 1st wave. Ended up having to crank my player damage up to Like 3x for the gauntlet missions to finally be possible solo, but only just.
Yea....alpha gauntlet missions are clearly designed with multi-player in mind. If only blood suckers were on other maps then I would't have to play part 1(single player no server is a pain for transferring Tho i forgot...can you bring tames into the missions?
@MythicAce218 some missions such as the hunting ones allow tames. (Although even with strong gigas they can be tough on alpha difficulty. And in the moon biome forget it. The low gravity combined with the alpha reapers pushing your dinos into the air where they can't really hit it makes that a no go.) You can't use tames on the race missions, any of the gauntlet missions. Or on the basket ball style missions. Everything else allows them. On genesis 2 you can use 1 tame per person on every mission besides the race missions. Survive the ark. The astrodephis missions. Or the final boss terminus (which allows the standard 20 dinos per boss fight. Good luck beating it without your game crashing halfway through though.)
although I respect your opinion on extinction and aberation, from experience playing single player worlds on both exclusively on those maps, I do have to say that extinction overall for me was way easier. Although Ive never fought the alpha king titan, the overall experience for aberration was harder with the spinos, carnos, raptors, ravagers, karkanos and it just took me forever to start off plus getting a reaper took me forever and I lost so much in the blue and red zones that I still get scared of them
I think Aberration is the only one of the top 3 that I think is actually fair and fun difficulty. It’s all about mechanics that are well designed and learning the map and it goes from crazy hard the first time playing to pretty easy once you know the map well, which is cool IMO. Ext is just a grind fest and most “difficulty” is just a numbers game about getting more health and damage than the enemy and spamming attack and/or sending in more dinos and there’s really nothing to learn except relative strengths and how much numbers you need, just stuff to grind for. Gen1 is all the artificial difficulty of Ext but with a bunch of BS bugged and poorly designed stuff on top. At least Ext’s numbers game can be satisfying to see in action
ark really needs something to make pve more fun and difficult theres no point in making a secure base after the first few levels and your first carnivore tame at a half decent level becomes so much more powerful than anything you encounter in the wild. you basically have the starting levels that are difficult then a hundred hoirs of easy nothingness then go kill the bosses and repeate the same thing on a different map
I don't know about Gen being one of the best maps. Many of the mini games are absolutely awful to play solo. Not to mention the teleportation mechanic just takes so much fun out of the game.
@@DragonMasonHealer Really not sure what you mean by awful ... The Alpha ones are designed for people that have Rex in tek saddles and 100+ mutations. That is how they should be though we had the entire island, SE, AB, and Exe before it, years and years of breeding. The map is not designed for someone brand new to the game, and why should it be? That is what Island exists for. The later maps should be to give high level characters that have been playing the game for years at least some challenge. Gen 2 was utter garbage its the least challenging map they have ever released, there is zero chance of death and it utterly failed as a result.
@@DragonMasonHealer Even if you are a new player, just do a note run to cap level then move to centre to find a 140+ charcha since they are very easy to find that map and while their tame a few 150 Argent and the basic resource dino, fing everything on that map spawns at 140-145 or 150, that done your now ready to move to Gen, with just a basic tame Charcha you can complete almost all the challenges right away. I think I could prob compete Gen 1 in less than a week from a totally fresh start on official, most maps only take a couple days honestly I think every map should be much harder if they are set to PVE to give us players a survival experience, ARK is very easy for a survival game.
@@DragonMasonHealer If you are ever having an issue killing something hard in AFK make sure you have these 3 things checked off, 1: your tank dino is mate boosted and much higher drag weight than your dps dino and fully hp stacked. 2: have a dps spec yut to apply its buff, 3: have a hp spec Mammoth to apply its debuff. A cheaky 4th is if all els fails go get a reaper king, super easy to tame and as long as foe is properly debuffed, they are almost unkillable.
@@alistairbolden6340 some missions are just impossible to do solo from what i remember. Gen just isn’t that fun to play even for a dofficulty fiend like myself. I like the map is just not ideal. If bloodsuckers were on another map id never play it
If we’re talking about solo, Gen 2 should be 2nd hardest map because some of the alpha missions are almost impossible to do solo. Also Rockwell Prime is insanely hard solo if it’s the beta/alpha one.
Wild that the intro map is on the harder end. Although I do like the idea of the first one not being just a short easy tutorial. As a noob who just lost his 1 spino going after an alpha meg and getting mogged by rays and cnidaria, still too easy
I can see the Master Controller alone making Genesis Pt 1 the hardest, I have attempted to beat it multiple times in creative mode with max level rex's and replacing them, and have only beaten it once. (I've tried 10+ times)
Here is my opinion on How hard the bosses are from hardest to easiest. (you can also write your opinion) Also I did fight on all Official DLC's except Genesis P1 and P2, so i will not rate their bosses. #1 King Titan -Pretty Obvious #2 Overseer -Since it can turn into 3rd hardest boss and 2 other bosses #3 Dragon -Cuz of % DMG #4 Edmund Rockwell - Cuz of Tentackles and Reaper's. #5 Ice Titan -Cuz He is hard, but Tameable #6 Desert Titan -Cuz you can ONLY use Flyers, but he is Tameable #7 Forest Titan -Cuz He can stun you, but He is Tameable #8 BroodMother Lystrix -Cuz of HP and absurd amount of Araneo's #9 Manticore -Cuz its can spawn DeathWorms and RockGolems #10 Big Monke/Gigantopithecus -Cuz of his big DMG
I've only completed half the maps but I would rank those in the following way, hardest to easiets: 1. Aberration 2. The Island 3. Extinction 4. Scorched Earth 5. The Center 6. Valguero
@@andrejhofer2007 forgive me for not knowing names, but on gen 1 i just went to the beach to make a base and got a sarco and i was good. on ab, i had to wait for an earthquake to get stones
I will agree with most of these I think scorched earth should be a bit lower though once you do get to mid and late game its way easier compared to the island. Personally from my experience I played on all the story maps if you play from the island to genesis part 2 around once you get to extinction your early game should be easy with the experience you get from all the other maps obviously its a grind but its not too bad. Genesis part 1 I also agree that the ocean is the only biome you can live in ocean platform base is definitely the way to go.
Abberation on launch was much harder, any plant effect would kill you almost for sure without a hazmat suit, and radiation was no exception. They all did so much more damage too. Unless you were playing with have fun stats. Without a hazmat suit, you couldn't go anywhere
Why is scorched earth that high, once you get past the early early game of being camped it’s so easy especially compared to the island and the Nordic one (I can’t spell the name)
I don't find Scorched Earth that hard at all. I'm a new player to Ark. I only have roughly 160 hours and most of that was on The Island. I did die a few times when I spawned in on Raptors but that was no fault of mine. I found a water source as soon as I spawned in so I wouldn't die from the heat. I managed to get a thatch hut built relatively fast. The rest is history. I have about 8 dino's tamed now and can kill practically anything I want.
you need alooot of patience for sure. step by step leading dinos into lava for like 1-2 hours while you got the school trip of animals behind you following lol
Easiest to hardest in my opinion is Gen2, fjordur, crystal isles, extinction, lost island, ragnarok, Center, Valguero, the island, scorched earth, gen1, aberration.
fjurdur isn't hard it's maybe the easiest after gen 2 because you can go to the broken ship and take metal hatchet and pickaxe and pike and crossbow and cooked meat and also scrap metal also there is many castles in it that you can just build a door and it's your castle also the andrew is so easy to tame and doesn't need saddle and strong can be tamed in first day & same with the desmodus
I get that overall Gen 2 is easy but come on man, not even going to mention the missions? I could complete majority of maps on this list before I finish Gen2 because of those missions. Also the reason why people complained about Aberration when it launched was because nameless could spawn in the green zone. If you were an official player and finally got into a ab server, it would usually be 85% night time and a bunch of new players literally couldn't do anything or have time to get a light pet
3 bosses, 10 caves, and tek cave is a lot of content to work through and you don’t get access to most gamebreaking OP things to deal with them. Ice cave and hard underwater cave can be tough, dragon can be tough with only island dinos and probably requires breeding new Dino lines to beat, and tek cave can be tough and require a lot of prep unless you cheese it. Unfortunately most the map is cheesable now even without outside engrams and dinos (caves through cryos, bosses by good dinos against each boss, and tek cave by tek suit and certain strats) but it’s a hard map to play the way it was meant to be and still can be decently hard, and it doesn’t really have much competition since outside of Ab, Ext, and Gen1 the other maps are all really easy
Honestly, Gen1 missions + the early game with every creature having a 50% damage reduction is STRAIGHT UP ass, there aren't even gigas or carchars in gen1 to do the missions with if you play it alone, what are you supposed to do? kill mission giga in space with rexes? hell nah, I've only seen people do it on official with 3 + people holding fcking phase pistols or a skiff + a +2000% melee velo, straight up sadistic game balancing Fjordur gotta be one of the easiest to start early, I'd put it behind ragnar because you get TPs and every resource in the game + every tame in the game. gen2 I agree the easiest Apart from Gen1 the hardest is Abb doing artifacts legally and with no cactus or external BPs (I hate so much the surface because with .ini you see eye-blinding white everywhere)
Scorched is not harder than anything under it. Not to mention it’s one of the two only maps that u can do alpha boss fight that doesn’t need mutated Dino’s to beat it. You don’t need to farm any loot. The caves are quite mediocre, a simple high level thyla post tame gets every cave done. Despite the alphas being hard, you don’t even need to kill them. The only difficult part about scorched is well, the early game. That’s really it. Also lost island being under the center is quite unfair. I’d say lost island is AS difficult as fjordur. The only key difference is that fjordur has way more bosses. Which makes it harder
No way he says Scorched Earth is harder than The Island. I ascended off of The Island on gamma on day 217, meanwhile I ascended off of Scorched Earth on gamma on day 37.
@@daversal7239 😆 All of the tames that died in the lava cave disagree with you. Seriously though, yeah the Island itself isn’t very difficult and in truth I seldom die during normal play. But caving for the artifacts is a different beast entirely. It might be just the learning curve as I figure out how to do caving effectively but I find it quite difficult.
@@kodak101 I finally succeeded with that one on my fourth attempt and that was *with* flying in caves allowed. What a nightmare that was. I also bought a bunch of otters with me and grabbed as many of the artifact as I could because I never want to do that on my single player character again. Ever. I honestly don’t know how I’m gonna get it on my multiplayer character on the server where flight in caves remains disabled. At least, not without getting some of my tribe to help me. Skylord was ghastly as well although for a very different reason-it’s as buggy as heck with lots of things getting glitched into the walls or ceiling. Al least my trusty assault rifle and shotgun got me through. I have one more cave to clear before I finally have a four artifacts needed to face Gamma Dragon. And I’m dreading it because if there’s one thing I hate more than caving is underwater caving. The first one was actually too bright for me with the yellow crystals. It’s kinda weird really. Every other part of Ark I’m having a lot of fun with. Best game I’ve played for the last few years. Even the Gamma Broodmother and Ape fights I really enjoyed even though I rekd them. But I hate caving. I have to make myself do them instead of procrastinating. Anyway I figured that I should beat the Gamma versions before trying Beta. Probably won’t manage alpha for awhile. Tell me something. Did Ark start out as just the Island at one point, instead of merely being the first map of several? It kinda feels like it was once intended to be a whole game and that I would now be entering the “endgame” phase. There’s been a noticeable difficulty increase while going after the four dragon artifacts instead of the usual three.
never normally write on videos but.. scorched earth... is by far...easiest map to do... early game is rough but if you know the map its easy as hell - did alpha boss on day 5 on ASA with character naked no dinos - from The Island, but slowest from level 1 has been day 11 - try doing that on any other map... caves are a joke and as soon as you get a tarpa or argentdavis you can get wyverns - and you win - Manticore is a joke snoozefest. Plus getting Rex army is easy since they forcespawn like the islands carnivore island some places.
Lost island early game is brutal and when people say Ab was hard I gave it a go I just did Ab by it's self except catus broth and I figgerd out a tip that no other youtuber has figgerd out even today and that tip is tame a spino for fuck's sake they are fast they are srong they spawn in the green zone they are imune to radiation perfect for getting drake eggs and can even take on reapers aswell
@@TGC1775 because the entire concept of aberration is that there is no flyers except the rock drake kind of. By adding all of this other shit there ruining the concept. The blimps the worst because at least the rockdrake and yi ling glide while the blimp literally flies lol. It’s just stupid
Also island is arguably on the easier side, dragon being the only hard as boss due to fire breath, but a daeodon on bugged heal tec, player on yuty buffing an army of theris with cakes or rexes destroy the dragon on alpha, it could be a bit tricky on hardcore if you want the good blueprints of the underwater caves since island does not have cactus broth, but other than that is not even hard, overseer can be completed without dinos (and if you argue you have to get through tek cave and you don't have other engrams, come with boss rexes and throw the gigas to the lava, when you are in the bossfight itself whistle aggressive and get flying in the tek suit with shotgun)
Fjordur is much more ridiculous, not the bosses, those are extremely easy (you can use gigas or carchas, minibosses are a joke, the normal bosses are much easier since you have access to shadows and other creatures). The most absurd boss is the fenrir, you HAVE to be on an andrew, have a sh!t ton of GOOD shadows or rexes/spinos fight plus daeodon on follow with bugged heal, and that is a coin toss on itself). Aberration is not that hard for late game since you can breed 20 megalos and mount the best one, get a light pet and a semi-decent shotgun, the megalos on follow and attack on tentacles, lightpet to kill the nameless/elemental reapers (these look scary but megalos are not called mini-gigas for nothing) and go in doing the cycles, you'd end it quicker than 4 people with capped shotguns, it ain't that bad, just be careful with thunder tentacle and use the shotgun. Also not even 20, with 8 or 9 is more than enough, it is harder to get the tributes than it is to kill it. (talking about alpha of course)
Gen 2 is the easiest map?! i beg to fricking differ. 1. Striders: You need to play a total of like 60 mini games to tame one which a majority of them you can not do alone. you need mutagel which is very hard to get by harvesting it from the ZG zone or rockwells gets getting past reapers and summoners. 2. The tools: The gen 2 tools suck. tek pistol doesn't do much, net projectile is great i'll give you that. what else? minigun...over heats and has same effect as submachine gun, Exo-mek....cant get until you beat rockwell which you have to play all the mini games to do as well as it having no real combat abilities. which is ridiculous.....the mini games should be optional to get resources and boost stats. 3. it not that easy even with an tek suit. what are you gonna do? super punch everything? the suit itself doesn't provide much armor and you will have to fight. the only real safe place is the section between the eden ring/garden ring and space zone.
What are you talking about? That map is so easy. It takes 50 mission for a level 150 stryder. If you just do the gamma missions can get a lvl 55 easy. Not the best level but it beats harvesting by hand. And yeah the exo-suit makes it extremely easy. If you're attacked all you do is just fly/hover or the power sprint thing and run away. The punch is ok not the best but its enough to take care of raptors, mantis on the Rockwell side, and argentavis when you accidentally agro them. If you want good weapons and armor go to a drop and you'll get god tier stuff. If you need any rare resource you go into space. If you need exp theres alphas everywhere so farming it is no challenge. This map literally hands you everything. You can even get a reaper a level 1 if wanted to. Its that easy.
Btw you craft mutagel from mutagen. Mutagen can be harvested in space either or found in drops. Use a stryder and youll get stacks in no time. Generator, chemistry benches, wiring, and gas are all common items in drops. Every you need can be found in drops on both sides.
@kyliemoore9013 id agree if the mission weren't there. They are pointless and stupid. What was wc thinking? Mini games are not fun especially when they are required to beat the game. They should keep them and their bonuses but separate them from the final boss
@kyliemoore9013 1. The asteroids where you harvest element and mutagel is very rare. 2. The only other place to aquire mutagen is in rockwells bowels which fills with acid and the overwhelming force of reapers and summoners. 3. Striders can only be tamed if you play the minigames which you cant win on your own without other people and the right gear. Even on unofficial with extremely boosted stats and rates i couldn't beat the games alone. Not even the races.
@@CosmicDragonApocalypse 1. All you have to do is power punch or use an anky on the element rocks. Youll get enough to tame a low lvl styder. Then you just use that. Because long youll have stacks. 2. Flying can help you dodge everything in the Rockwell cave easily. You just gotta keep moving. Plus turn on the exo-suit helmet so you can the outline of creatures. 3. Ill agree the mission are annoying because you need them for the boss fight but they aren't hard. Sounds like you're just not that good at the game. I was a solo tribe on a official and got all the beta missions before i needed help from others.
Genesis 1 only needs to nerf some missions and reduce the ammount of missions needed to do the boss. Genesis 2 needs a federation suit rework and less missions to summon the boss.
@@fakeAratPrimemaybe instead just make genesis 1 a requirement to play gen 2. The early game on Scorched is extremely rough, but the sheer amount of objectives required to complete the Island's end game should def bump it higher on the list--I'd argue higher than Aberration tbh
That seems like kind of a stretch
The island isn’t harder in my opinion per say, I’d just say it’s significantly grindy-er
@@davidivaskovic The Island is way harder than Scorched Earth that it is not even funny.
don tthink so, the dinos on the island are all weak asf and are known for low levels
I didn't even know people like you existed. My life is officially complete, thank you, James Allen 5268.
The island is harder than scorched earth. sure the early game on scorched is rough, but the sheer grind and caves and stuff you gotta do to beat the island makes it harder imo
I’d argue Gen2 is not the easiest simply due to the fetch missions💀
Past that there is a no tek suit mod on steam and I highly recommend it, Makes the map incredibly harder, Outside of that Gen2 is just a lengthly but easy map
Or you just don't use ur suit. Unequip it and throw it out.
The Bog was Wildcard trolling us and you can't convince me otherwise.
The Ragnorok desert labyrinth cave is ridiculously hard. I know Fjordur have a similar cave but couldn’t play it since I’m on Switch.
Labyrinth of life isnt hard just farm ice worm for 300% + shotties and go on the rock for the last room its easy af

Nice work. Will wait to see the ASA version of this map once all the maps are released.
yes cause ase maps looks COMPLETE SHIT!! THE QUALITY IS FUCKING HORRIBLE AS HELL.
Correction: It's level 70 to tame a crystal wyvern. Mostly agreed though, except for Extinction (Carchar speedrun to win), and good video.
whats a carchar speedrun for extinction? ive been playing all the maps in order, and im about to start extinction soon. i dont have a carchar and i dont know much about extinction
It’s actually level 65 I think
As someone who plays exclusively on Crystal Isles, it's 65 for the level to tame the crystal wyverns.
My tribemates waiting for lost island. He gonna wait a bit😂

If only blood suckers were on other maps then I would't have to play part 1(single player no server is a pain for transferring
Tho i forgot...can you bring tames into the missions?
Although Ive never fought the alpha king titan, the overall experience for aberration was harder with the spinos, carnos, raptors, ravagers, karkanos and it just took me forever to start off plus getting a reaper took me forever and I lost so much in the blue and red zones that I still get scared of them
Beta king titan is the hardest because you can just use a mega Mek for alpha who can solo the king titan with the other titans
Honestly I like that some maps are easier than others it makes sense in a way ig
Ark just isn’t made for pve. It never has been.
This is actually a really good list bro
Abb and Gen are the best two maps by far, they have so much more effort put into making each of them than all the other maps combined and it shows.
Alpha gauntlets were clearly designed with multiplayer in mind and i don't even remember if you can bring tames in with you(its been so long) not to mention most people probably start each map fresh instead of transferong the character each time. Gen just isn’t that fun to play even for a dofficulty fiend like myself. I like the map is just not ideal. If bloodsuckers were on another map id never play it
There's actually a hidden loot drop in the green art cave that gives SE loot. It can be found behind a wall that u have to break with pickaxe

Bro, solid list. 100% agree. Good work.
If we’re talking about solo, Gen 2 should be 2nd hardest map because some of the alpha missions are almost impossible to do solo. Also Rockwell Prime is insanely hard solo if it’s the beta/alpha one.
Can you ride the tek stryder with out a saddle
Wild that the intro map is on the harder end. Although I do like the idea of the first one not being just a short easy tutorial. As a noob who just lost his 1 spino going after an alpha meg and getting mogged by rays and cnidaria, still too easy
Genesis 1 is one of my favourites for that reason plus hard to raid spots
I can see the Master Controller alone making Genesis Pt 1 the hardest, I have attempted to beat it multiple times in creative mode with max level rex's and replacing them, and have only beaten it once. (I've tried 10+ times)
Here is my opinion on How hard the bosses are from hardest to easiest. (you can also write your opinion) Also I did fight on all Official DLC's except Genesis P1 and P2, so i will not rate their bosses.
#1 King Titan -Pretty Obvious
#2 Overseer -Since it can turn into 3rd hardest boss and 2 other bosses
#3 Dragon -Cuz of % DMG
#4 Edmund Rockwell - Cuz of Tentackles and Reaper's.
#5 Ice Titan -Cuz He is hard, but Tameable
#6 Desert Titan -Cuz you can ONLY use Flyers, but he is Tameable
#7 Forest Titan -Cuz He can stun you, but He is Tameable
#8 BroodMother Lystrix -Cuz of HP and absurd amount of Araneo's
#9 Manticore -Cuz its can spawn DeathWorms and RockGolems
#10 Big Monke/Gigantopithecus -Cuz of his big DMG

You have to be level 65 to feed crystal wyverns
I've only completed half the maps but I would rank those in the following way, hardest to easiets:
1. Aberration
2. The Island
3. Extinction
4. Scorched Earth
5. The Center
6. Valguero
abberation is the hardest by far, extinction is a close second enxt to scorched earth
genesis 1 is only hard early game
Agreed
Once you're experienced with it Aberration is not that hard. The map anyways. Rockwell Alpha solo is pretty tough no matter what.
I never found Ab to be too rough. I found Scorched and Genesis 1 early games to be hell though

Whenever I play Ark I look at back at this video. I agree
In my the island map I have all maps item in my engram I don't know if it a bug or not if someone could tell me
5:37 "Finger yourself or whatever" Love it LOL
For the aberration rockwell fight, just run circles on raptor back and shotgun him to death. He's really not that hard.
Why is scorched earth that high, once you get past the early early game of being camped it’s so easy especially compared to the island and the Nordic one (I can’t spell the name)
Gen 2 has missions that are next to impossible to beat solo.
It’s easily a top 5 map for difficulty.
You can get cactus broth on abb now cactus sap is in drops on abb in Asa
Fun fact the fjordur map has the most npcs out of the entire game of ark
Crystal isles is the hardest map for me because my computer can't handle it. It's such a beautiful map but god, the amount of lag i get💀
I don't find Scorched Earth that hard at all. I have about 8 dino's tamed now and can kill practically anything I want.
id say scorched is way easier than told, its really only the earlygame till u get something with wings
Nice video bro.
I don't think the Overseer fight is hard at all, the cave on the way is where the challenge is
you need alooot of patience for sure. step by step leading dinos into lava for like 1-2 hours while you got the school trip of animals behind you following lol
Scorched is actually easy. Really easy caves as well as easy boss(arguably the easiest i dont know if it is harder than the megapiticus)
How to download the game?
if i do any boss i always go to crystal to get all artifacts
The best ark 100 days hardcore would be gen 2 but you can’t use tek suit
For me lost island should be 1 or2 places harder cause that shit has 8 spawn for gigas/ carchas, you can easily find a giga on the beach :'v
Why is The Island so high on the list?
I think that gen 2 was the overcorrect they realized they made gen 1 too hard so they made gen 2 too easy
Primal fear laughing in the corner
Honestly, Gen1 missions + the early game with every creature having a 50% damage reduction is STRAIGHT UP ass, there aren't even gigas or carchars in gen1 to do the missions with if you play it alone, what are you supposed to do? kill mission giga in space with rexes? hell nah, I've only seen people do it on official with 3 + people holding fcking phase pistols or a skiff + a +2000% melee velo, straight up sadistic game balancing
Fjordur gotta be one of the easiest to start early, I'd put it behind ragnar because you get TPs and every resource in the game + every tame in the game.
gen2 I agree the easiest
Apart from Gen1 the hardest is Abb doing artifacts legally and with no cactus or external BPs (I hate so much the surface because with .ini you see eye-blinding white everywhere)
I’m surprised scorched earth wasn’t the easiest one, it’s so easy it makes me queasy
Wait, The Island is really difficult? I started on that Island. No wonder I’m struggling.
@@mikoto7693 the island isnt really that difficult

Seriously though, yeah the Island itself isn’t very difficult and in truth I seldom die during normal play. But caving for the artifacts is a different beast entirely. It might be just the learning curve as I figure out how to do caving effectively but I find it quite difficult.
@@mikoto7693 Ice Cave on Island is one of the hardest caves in the game

I think people forget this is an opinion 😔
asa better changes whole genesis
Genesis 1 only needs to nerf some missions and reduce the ammount of missions needed to do the boss.
Genesis 2 needs a federation suit rework and less missions to summon the boss.
@@fakeAratPrime I don’t like gen2 that you spawn with tek that is what I would add to your list
@@NonHuman69 it's on the list, federation suit rework.
That could be done in a lot of ways, not sure how right now but still.
@@fakeAratPrimemaybe instead just make genesis 1 a requirement to play gen 2. After all Gen 2 is more or less meant to be your character from gen 1 leaving the simulation and now using the tek suit for one last hurrah as you save the ship.
Gen 2 felt like it was meant for players who have already gone through the struggle of building from the ground up on every other map, so that this time they get a head start for the final challenge.
So like I said just make Gen 1 completion a requirement for playing Gen 2, there may be some issues with this idea, but it does at least mean that by that point you would have basically already earned the tek suit, and that it’s not something that can be done starting from scratch.
Abberation is the hardest for sure
dude i have played ark so long that the island is the easiest
Scorched earth has the hardest early game and the easiest late game
