Lexus sedan option at this price point is the ES. Lexus will give you more luxury with older drive trains. Only AWD option is the ES 250 with a NA 4-cylinder engine. 300h is FWD only with the NA 4-cyl + older hybrid setup. 350 has a V6 but is FWD only. Crown platinum has a more modern engine, adaptive suspension, and newer hybrid system. And this is what you are paying extra for. Updated version of the ES will be Lexus-type of crown. ES assembly is being moved back to Japan where all Crowns are assembled.
It’s smooth but I wouldn’t say the softer, the GH is better on that but ford sedan/suvor its class yes it is. As for Lexus it is close where you will not be able to till much of a difference.
So, is Toyota Crown selling well? Where I am (central Pennsylvania) I haven’t seen any on the road. It’s now end of May, 2024, when did the car come out?
My lease is coming up an end and this is the exact car I have my eye on, but the interior is kind of a turn off but I do love this car but for this price I want a more fancy interior
Bigger on the outside than the Avalon it replces but smaller than that on the inside. Mpg on the Platinum is on par with regular gas cars such as the Honda Crosstour which has more trunk space. Looks close to the Honda Acxord which gwtw massive more mpg. It's for older people thst don't have to bend down so far to get in. Thankfully Toyota made the roofline taller so one doesn't hit their head every time one gets into the passenger side. Looking at you Toyota Venza which I own. It's different that's for sure. Hope Toyota succeeds.
The real problem is the price! It should have been 50k tops, not 55 or 56, because at that price point I can get a luxurious SUV (like the Genesis GV80) for example.
60K and you have to push the back seats throughout trunk so you can have more room How about bottom for that money Like always $$$$$ but nothing there That’s why I don’t drive TOYOTA AND NEVER EVER WILL

So what’s the big problem again?
It’s in the drive part of the review, you have to watch the review 👍
The biggest problem is, the Crown badge and logos are missing. What were they thinking for not giving the option?
That is a good point
Not the ones sold in Dubai… they come with crown badges

I was sold on the Lexus IS 500 until I saw the Crown Platinum. Not a fan of RWD and not a fan of having to refuel every 220 miles for city driving.
