Hey Kate, this is really cool so thanks for covering it. I tried recreating something like this (a kitchen) with platforms but could never get the sims to work with it. Likely because it was underwater but I wonder if it could work like you've done. A flooded house maybe?
Also, I'm now wondering if any modders have created 'fake' water so that underwater houses (and in water) could work? Hmm?

Thank you very much. I guess that Sims 4 building is a bit like stage magic: I like it best when I learn how it is done.
So maybe a skilled builder could create an ancient castle or temple or whatever, but part of it is flooded, but even in the flooded section there is stuff that not only looks cool, but to a degree even is functional. Of course, I 'm not a skilled builder myself, so should you ever run out of ideas, please consider this one.
Also, of course, you could build a house for mermaids.
(also I wonder: could one lower the platform a little lower and have the Sims use bathroom plumbing while underwater? Like taking an underwater shower?)
Maybe it would work using the pond tool.
Wonder if the jacuzzi will work? 😊
