So here are three months of Hilda, Stan and Eddie that strictly focus only on these iconic characters. Some scenes are missing due to the episodes I do not have. It is quite strange to view all the other main characters who now only appear on the periphery. I hope you enjoy the experience and I'm very interested in your views on it. So put the kettle on and spend a couple of hours with the Ogies and Eddie.
Although shunted and looked down upon by others in the street, both Hilda and Stan were the true gem star couple of the street ...the bestest stars of the street...the success of corrie really fell on their shoulders...the best of the best...
Absolute legends! Loved it when Eddie was with Minnie Caldwell and also loved it when he was with the Ogden's. He was literally the son Hilda never had. Bless them all and you for creating, providing and sharing this video!

1976 was the start of the decline of Stan as the actor had a stroke in late 1975 which affected his speech, and he went from a chatty energetic man to a slow sloth like man who could not speak properly.
Viewing this today I can see the sets were totally outrageous ie scale....the inside of Ray Langton's house is so off the scale. Funny we never noticed that back in the day...
Even as recent as the late 70s people dressed smart or even dressed in decent clothes rather than slobbing around on the street in trackies and tacky jewellery.

Been looking at 1975...Stan must have doubled in size and halved in vitality within 36 months - pretty stark.
Very true I wish he looked after himself later years you could tell he was ill

He had two major heart attacks. One in 1972 one in 1976..that's how he disappeared for a while..both years.
