    Take the power and ground loose on your amps and grab your multi meter and check for continuity on the ground lug to the outside of the rca terminals. If it makes a sound you will need a ground loop isolator!! Hope this helps

    Hey Parker I just wanted to let you know that your videos inspired me to get into car audio and even install a crazy setup in my car! Unfortunately after the car got totaled, the insurance took everything then I just gave up. But after seeing the progress on this build it inspired me to start again and hopefully do even better than last time. Love the videos, keep up the good work, and I can’t wait to see people’s reaction when they hear these 18s 😂.

      You can pay for additional insurance coverage for items/accessories installed in your car, including stereo. I had a $3000+ system stolen out of my 1990 Integra back in like 1999. I had additional accessories insurance coverage, and got back the full replacement value ($3000) of the equipment after providing receipts to Insurance company. I think it was maybe an extra $20 a month for that $3000 in extra coverage.

    Love the build. By the way, you can ground a wire on your head unit and slide it under the RCA that plugs into the 4 channel amp and it should kill the noise. I had to do it on my setup.

    You need a ground loop isolator on your amp ground. This is caused by the amp trying to pass its ground through your head unit.

      He needs to wrap a bare wire around the head unit rca's and the other end to something metal. That's what I did and it fixed the problem. BigVell02 wrote and told me about that.

      I believe he had already grounded the rca on another video. What I have seen is that if he has low voltage on rca, the signal is weak, leading to set the gain higher / more sensitive, leading to the introduction of noise.

      I have a very weird problem. I would have same engine whine but only audible at volume 1. Volume increase to 2,3,4 and you won't hear it.
      So what's weird is when Im driving around in the city at some spots my front left speaker starts playing music which I guess is it's picking some radio signals. It would play this music at a low steady volume regardless of what volume is on head unit. One time during this occurrence, I turned off the HU and this music still keeps playing. I have no idea what exactly is that

      Mine has about 3500 watts between the 2 amps. Looking back I'd probably stay around 1k. Above that they rattle too much to sound good. Also it's hard to find a good battery that will fit and the biggest alternator I've seen is 160 amps.

    Ground loop somewhere. Test your ground potential resistance. Run a ground from your alternator to your rear battery bank and then ground everything to the battery bank for a single common ground. If you have to run your radio ground directly to the rear battery bank as well.

  • @RickEnsink
    @RickEnsink ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The wining noise can be because the amp has a open ground circuit and the taramps has a isolated ground circuit (not shure tho). If this is the case you can try and connect the ground of your rca to the ground of your amp to bypass this and hopefully there wont be a ground loop tru your input signal.

    If you have a Pioneer head unit, they tend to have pico fuses and if they pop I've heard that they will cause a engine whine.
    Another could be the ground on the head unit if you're using the factory vehicle harness ground, add a second ground to the head units black ground wire or run a dedicated ground wire as the factory harness could have a ground issue (found this out with a friend's vehicle)..
    Last option since you said all of your 4ch amps have had a whine, try a test head unit local to the amp just to see if it's in the wiring from the head unit in the dash or the head unit itself. If the whine goes away when using a test head unit then you could have a bad set of RCA's going to your 4ch amp where a wire is rubbing internally or the head unit in the dash has an issue or is bad..
    Good luck as I HATE engine whine 😆

  • @user-ee4nu2lw3w

    Love the build, Im a fan of the 4 12 setup that I have currently, its 4 Sundown x12 v3s on a JP83 amplifier. To me it's nice to be able to split the power across 4 coils and allows me to demo and play music for longer and nothing get hot. Currently pulling a 156.3 from the build with the outlaw in the kick and window down tuned at 35hz. After watching your scores I'm glad I have a smaller suv so my efficiency is really good. I was getting a 154 on my old taramps smart 5k I had. Your videos have been helpful towards my build and glad I watch your channel. Next up building a bigger lithium bank for the build and going to use your guide for the 160AH because currently, I have 60ah on a 320 Singer alternator.

    • @Y3nny
      @Y3nny ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@evilinside5984 My voltage drop at 2k rpm is about 13.3-13.4 if I am doing a test tone and burping it.On music around 13.8 when im hardcore jamming. When idling and my vehicle idles at 750 and I currently can't turn it up since my vehicle has an idle air control valve, I drop to about 13.0 I have seen it hit 12.9 once and that was while I was absolutely pushing it on a song that has no break or anything it was a demo song I remastered. I haven't got it clamped yet but Im confident at my tuning frequency where my rise is the lowest I am seeing close to 10k from that amp. The JP83 is a beast of an amp I just put it in not a month ago so I haven't had it very long. But it does get pretty warm at half ohm but after I put a ABS Turbo fan on the amp it helps keep the temp down on the amp. But where I live we see around 100 degree days if not more so I don't really blame the amp for getting warm too much. Sorry if I wrote you a book to read lmao!

    You mentioned purchasing another vehicle for a wall build. I suggest you get a 07-14 Chevy Tahoe for the fact you can run multiple alternators to help feed the amps power. You won't have to worry about being stranded if your alt were to die at a show.

    For the noise run the headunit power and ground to the rear lithium battery.

    You should do a review of the the EDP122SPL-E6 by edge subwoofers . Seems like a monster for $244

    That's the same score I got with my 12" Zv5 hybrids and salt 8 152.6! Badass 👊

      @Chris-B-Bassin- You would not get that high of a score in parkers huge suv. I lost 4Db going from my car to a large suv like parkers. Same exact complete system swap, and the new bigger vehicle had way better electrical/voltage!

      @@Chris-B-Bassin- Most people dont realize how the size/volume of a vehicles interior really effects the output of a system. Thats why Honda Crx vehicles were/are very popular in Db competitions, for very high burp/spl scores.

      @evilinside5984 agreed, much easier to create pressure in a smaller space. I have nsv5 12s now at .5 but I haven't metered it yet

      @@Chris-B-Bassin- What impedance were you wired too with the 2-12" Zv5 hybrids, when you did that 152.6Db, and @ what freq.?
