I have my grandparent’s match holder. You could buy boxes of matches that fit into the holder. The cutout on the side exposed the strike plate on the box.

The dispenser thing is for a box of kitchen matches. Open the box and place in the dispenser. The striking surfaces of sand paper line up with the ovals on the sides. Ha g it by your stove, fireplace, lantern, or Bar B Q grill.

The pottery ashtray from Colonia Tovar, Venezuela! My country ❤Colonial Tovar is a German town a couple of hours away from the capital. It's a beautiful town founded by Germans who fled their country during the war. It's on the mountains and there are many German artisans that made great pieces.
