The statue you found without a hand is of the Buddhist goddess of compassion and mercy, Guanshiyin. Her name is generally seen as Guanyin, Quan Yin, or Kwan Yin depending on the country or culture. She is said to Lend a Hand to Those in Need. The hand is therefore made to be removable. In some traditions if you hide her hand within your house, she will look for it. As long as she is looking for her hand your household will have good luck. Another version is that you can take her hand, make a wish and once she grants the wish you then replace the hand. It did appear that there was something in the hole for her hand. I'm wondering if the hand itself was somehow pushed into the socket for it. It was very pretty and more ornate than some, I wish you had gotten it.
❤❤❤thank you so much ❤❤❤
Thanks for telling us! So interesting!!
I had two of these and the hands were holding fishing poles and they would bobble, unfortunately in a move those arms were lost. Are they different characters? I was given them so I have no idea what far east culture they're from.

That was so sweet of the subscriber to point out the Polish pottery cat.
The Polish pottery cat!!! 😍😍😍
Polish plate is soup plate. Polish people prefer soup plates than soup bowls
You probably won’t see this but, I, as well as lots of other people who collect vintage, LOVE when vintage items have that type of stick-on vintage souvenir label on them. I totally agree with steering clear of most souvenir items, but the ones with those old labels have buyers, just because we like those cute vintage labels. 😊
Wonderful how honest you were with the husband that found the Polish pottery cat. Many resellers woulda smiled, said thank you and smiled all the way home! Did see that even tho you told his wife she had first dibs, it was in yor cart. Sweet of them too!
The pottery thing with the hole is part of a tassel. There would be fringe out the bottom and a loop at the top to hang it from. Awhile ago these were hung on china cabinet door knobs for decoration.
I agree l use to make the tassels
Keep Rocking 🤙the good stuff👍 Beautiful people 🤗🍫🐇🥚
Thanks so much for telling us! I just love the people on this channel!!
Thank you for telling us, I was so curious 😅
The green jar with lid held bath salts. I have it. It belonged to my grandmother,
. It is probably 40 or more years old. I love it and green is my favorite color.
the oriental statues like the one you left often came with a loose hand which fitted in the hole. Common stock Kwan Yin 1950s. Might have been in the baggies or they may sell replacements.
The knowledge on this channel is amazing!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!!🎉💕
What was the purpose of the loose hand? I can't imagine
The horse looks art deco to me. Last week I bought a tall vase turned into a lamp base and glued shut. There were newspapers in it from 1929. That makes dating it easy.
Jocelyn, how sweet are your viewers that they would rather you have a treasure that they found! 🥰
The planter with the flower frog was a great find!! Only you could find the separate pieces and realize they go together! 👏🏻👏🏻
The cat was awesome!
It's cool to see the Isabel Blooms out there, so was a local artist in Davenport, IA where I grew up.
I have several of her pieces. Some of them can be quite valuable!
I have many pieces. Love them. I live in Altoona IA.
I also grew up in Davenport Iowa
At approximately 11:42 in this video, the baggie with the little blue chair in it... those are Nora Fleming pieces. They can be really good money if discontinued.
Yes, I thought they were. Dagney looks for them.
To your right @ 17:30, there appears to be a Portmeirion botanica canister. I have three different Polish pottery cats that I absolutely adore! You found some great things today. Your GWs' shelves are absolutely packed! Unfortunately, the GWs in my area aren't worth going to anymore. I haven't found one thing for over two years.
Love the horse-head vase. That red! Also really like the "vase" you mentioned you'd keep & use for daffodils. So cheerful.
The thing with a hole in the bottom may be a curtain rod end.
Agree
The blue vanity tray was so pretty
The cat is fantastic! 😻
I found a BBP bunny while out shopping this weekend, and only knew what it was from watching your videos, so thank you! 😄
Oh I love ❤️ charity shops love watching your channel hello 👋🏻 from Ireland 🇮🇪
Hello from Robinson, Illinois. Home of the heath bar.
Jocelyn the Isabell Bloom that you looked at are made here in Moline Illinois just across the Mississippi from us ( I live in Iowa). It is very collectible in the Midwest Check it out!
The glass dish with the aluminum rosebud top which you called a powder dish is really the center of a large clear glass round tray that holds cheese or dip. My mother-in-law had one just like it.
I miss your trips to Finders Keepers
It also looked like a butter dish that would sit on a small round silver plate.
I loved the froggy vase ❤
At 3:36 you left a clear Manhattan vase, worth about $100. That has become a popular pattern again.
So glad you matched that frog and bowl together
That blue glass vase that was put back because of chip was FENTON for the future, found primarily in milk glass.
I love the Polish cat! What a nice gesture by one of your viewers to place it there for you to see! I have a weakness for cat, bird, dog, & horse figurines. So you know I love the horse planter you picked up.
Leave it to you to find the matching piece. I've never seen so much Isabel Bloom in 1 place. I would have bought some. It sells well for me.
You have to go garage selling near Seattle Wa to find glassy babies.
Absolutely love love love that planter!
The horse head planter is Haegar. I have one in white and it has a sticker on it no mark on the bottom.
❤Fiesta❤
That polish pottery cat was too cute!!!
I love that cat! The first place was so clanging today. I enjoyed going with you to both places. Thank you.
Omgosh! I have been searching forever for a PP cat!!
I’d love to see your sister’s boho decor style 😊 you pick up such fun pieces for her!
Omg the polish cat is so adorable. Fun trip 🙂
That goodwill is badass nowhere near the ones in San Antonio TX they sell nothing but junk
The frog vase 🐸😍
That was so sweet of them! The Polish cat is really cute!🩵💙
Those Magboy massage balls would have been a good buy.
Oh my gosh! I had that unicorn clock I bought it for my parents for Christmas around 1983….. at a store called pic-n-save in California 😂❤
I wish you’d shown those Isabel Bloom figurines more. I love them.
It may be acceptable in the States, but how do you not get annoyed at the prices that they ask for chipped, cracked, or damaged items!! They don't often put items on the shelves in the UK unless they are ok. 🤨
The two silver bumpy balls in the black case is a massager. They sell for $50-$75 and they sell quick.
Then why are they ALWAYS in thrift stores like 24/7 ?
Lol!! I thought they were salt and pepper shakers!😂 I wasn't even close!
No matter how you look at it everything always comes back to pasta 😁
That vanity tray so cute
Hello from Mexico 👋
I love the cat!!
Is the colourful little pottery piece a curtain finial perhaps?
Cool finds!
Wow....I just picked up 3 Isabel blooms last week in MN!
I've been fortunate to find several Isabel Bloom pieces and they really sold fast for good money.
Great video ❤ JoAnn
Love seeing what you find at the goodwill!! You are a sweet person!! Love you and your channel!! God bless you and your family!! Much love my friend!! 💖💖🥰🥰🙏🙏🦋🦋🦋🌺🌺🌺😊😊❤️❤️💙💙💙🦜🦜🦜🦜🦜🤗🤗💙💙💙💙
That cat was amazing! The spaghetti bowl is a close second favorite, though. 😂
Min 15:06 Dansk brown mist whisper sugar bowl and lid, stoneware coloring with brown edge sells $15+ it’s the lid which is htf.
At 8:10 lower shelf is a Kuan Yin figurine . The goddess of compassion. One just sold on shop goodwill for 46.
Some of the vintage Isabella Bloom can go for good money.
I enjoy watching your videos so much. Always hate to see them end. You do a great job.
You passed up the Isabel Bloom figurines????? Wy?? I wonder how how much they cost? I would have purchased all of them!
Now this what CLL does. She thrifts. Love it
The camel planter. I wish you had gotten that!
She did!
I was so surprised when she put it back but she went back and got it!
I actually never heard of her, Isabel Bloom, and I am a rabbit ( figurine) collector. I found a signed piece it was of a running rabbit, not the usual doe eyed kind. I paid $2 sold it for $25
Hello!!!!!! Happy Sunday!
Just my opinion (and I could very well be wrong; certainly not the first OR last time 🥴), but I THINK that tile thing at about 7:49 could be a turnip? Just a thought! 🤔😊
I love it when you list your price.
The person riding on the goose was interesting. It was near the Italian tree thing
I’ve sold the momma hen and chicks vase before. Super cute.
Judging by the mark of K, the lidless jar (not a teapot, as corrected below) @5:00 is made by the Urkainian porcelain factory Korosten. Very pretty!
I loved it too 🎉
How does a teapot have no spout?
It was a Soviet factory located in USSR (the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic). It was opened right after the end of WWII in 1945 and closed in 1991. Did not survive Perestroika much…. This particular mark for Korosten was used by the factory from 1960 - 1991.
@@kaydavis6752Good point! I’m so used to seeing these as teapots, I didn’t even notice that this one - a jar? with a handle? - has none. 😊
@@kaydavis6752Right. It didn't have a spout but it looked like it was missing a lid🤔
The ceramic knob looks like the end of a curtain rod to me.
5:58 interesting ashtray or trinket dish? 16:49 love the butterfly
I love the piece with the frogs!! 😍
Is the mystery item the end of a curtain rod maybe?
Ummm. I think that’s a turnip.
That was nice of them to let you get that great cat!
I think those silver balls are magnetic rollers for tense muscles, etc. May be made by Nikken. Probably had a clear plastic cover. Very expensive and very effective.
You are correct
Being a CCL 😂❤ loved 🥰 that kitty!!
5:40 It looks like two red Dansk cast iron and enamel fondue pots.
Thanks for another awesome video, you never disappoint!
You missed that adorable elf on the swans back .
What a blast! Love your videos ❤California
Are you gonna put that frog pot on eBay??? ❤❤❤❤❤
You find some pretty pieces❤
The Polish Pottery cat was amazing
I always look forward to watching your videos. I also sell on ebay and it's been fun. Love the polish pottery cat.
I would buy the Bahamas wooden fish
Hello from southern canada
OH that Polish pottery cat!!!
Thanks 😊
Those are vintage magnets
I love polish pottery 😊
That cat is beautiful ❤
I kind of liked the item you got for your sister
Great video.
You missed the Hadley pottery!
Maybe that Terra cotta thing goes on the end of a pole (?)
I would love to have the blue glass vanity !!what are your plans for it ?
that green jar with led is made for human ashes
That’s the thought that came to my mind when I saw it.
Oh no! Not another George!! 🤯☠️🤣
Maybe someone is in there now 😅😅😅
Another viewer said it held bath salts. She has one which was her grandmothers.
@@erinnswan7063 im 100% sure it is for human ashes because we have the same exact ones in korea and buddhist people only use them to hold human ashes
How come you don’t check purses anymore? 😊
