Capcom allegedly lost the source code which is why the release date for the GBA Collection kept getting pushed back (I was managing at GameStop during that era) and it was eventually canceled
@@thecunninlynguist the game got ported to Windows 95 and that has been the basis of almost all the other ports of it since. I think that stems more so from the unconventional hardware configuration of the Saturn that the source code being lost and the Windows port being more hardware/programmer friendly. The original Panzer Dragoon is an unlockable extra in the Xbox port of Panzer Dragoon Orta, and that game is fully backward compatible on Xbox One, and if you play it on One X/Series X it gets a massive resolution boost of running at 1920x1440 So it is out there and accessible
Ready for Mega Man World 3 DX to be released soon. Same for Mega Man World 4 DX. And I am aware of a MMW4 LDX one existing, but with how these have been streamlining after Christmas 2022, I'd say this is as close to a Mega Man Mania revival on GBA as we will get.

Ack, the music remix! 😮😢😅 I have a soft spot for this game, it was the first Mega Man game that I owned and beat (mind you, it *is* easy compared to most MM games). Also remember the password to Quint with 4 E-tanks to this day... entered it from memory into the Switch Online entry this past week.😅
@@napoleonfeanor the original MMII GB soundtrack is infamous for its high pitch and odd tones. I recall reading somewhere that the peogrammers made an oversight and the sounds play at the wrong pitch in the final game

If you want to play with the classic soundtrack, please, use the Supper's hack, which is compatible with this hack, which doesn't make your ears bleed.

I love that you can choose between OSTs cause I love the og soundtrack, remix is ok but loses the soul that the original had. Whoever made this hack seemed to have understood that too. Much respect.

Nope, they outsourced to Minakuchi Engineering for the remaining 3 games. They also worked on World 1. This game was outsourced to Thinking Rabbit, who barely knew anything about GB hardware and Mega Man in general, and the game was rushed out in about four months.
