I've installed plenty of radios in different vehicles and the one thing I always hated was having to tear into the old wiring harnesses and leaving leftover wires capped off. it makes for a sloppy look no matter how professional it's done. you would think In modern times the audio equipment manufacturers would create a much simpler way of doing these things. Like adapters that just plug into the old harnesses.
So I enjoyed the install and like the unit you installed. My question that I did not see answered though is all the settings that is controlled by the factory unit. Such as lights, locked, compass, and even clock for dash. Does this unit have those functions or do you loose those controls? If you loose those controls are they the last settings, or are the random?
@ProvoBeastAudio so what else does the box control? My truck is a plan jane base model that has SiriusXM from the factory. I'm very interested in upgrading to this radio but want to confirm all the parts that I will need. Thanks for the help
Parts used and recommended are linked in the description of the video!

I didn't see where the original wires were plugged into the new harness. The camera was too far away.
What if I have a factory CD player in the center console, will it still work?

That’s all in the directions of the pac harness, it goes through what’s what and what’s changed from a button perspective below the head unit
Does the factory microphone on the ram truck work with this head unit or do you need to use the one the radio came with?
Do I need the PAC RP4-CH21 RadioPRO4, if I don't have the steering wheel controls?
This truck didn’t have full steering wheel controls either, but unfortunately Pac doesn’t offer a non-steering wheel control version yet.
