Jeff , I really appreciate your videos. I’ve recently purchased a PIWIS. Would you be able to show how to reset the scheduled maintenance. Thank you.

Have a look at the 'more piwis' video. It's there.

Great video !!! We needed one like this for a very long time. Thank you.
When you are talking about deleting codes with ignition on, did you mean the engine on and running, or just the key to the on position?
I tried to flash my DME with the stock program with PIWIS 3, as I am trying to get rid of an old tune, but it didn’t work, do you do that with the ignition to the on or off position?
How can you tell if the DME chip firmware is in the software or require a dealer login? As I don’t have a login and might have to pay someone for that service and they wanted €200 for the login service !!

You will always need the ignition on to delete codes as most control units won't be live unless this is the case. Most control units you can delete codes with the engine running, but not the engine or transmission. For these the engine must be stopped but the ignition on. The point I was making was if you need to delete engine/transmission codes and the engine is running, go back to the top level of PIWIS first , then turn the engine off, turn the key back to on and not start, then go into the transmission/engine control unit to delete codes. The key is not to turn the engine off when you are interrogating a control unit or it will spit the dummy.
No idea of reprogramming with a different tune. You will have to talk to the provider. Any software changes I've done have always been stock upgrades that are inside PIWIS and it talks you through the process. That being said, I would be surprised if you didn't need the ignition on, as the DME isn't live without this.
Normally to do a stock software upgrade you would go to the DME and then 'programming' then 'automatic programming' and it will go through the process from there if it can detect that it needs updating.

@@jeffrichardsoncardiy Yes we went into Engineering mode (E) or whatever you were calling it, then programming, but it wasn’t detecting my car automatically, my guess maybe because of that Softronics tune I am trying to get rid off. So we selected my car manually then selected the file that we thought was the one, but it didn’t work. He said most likely the EDM software for my car was not there in the software and a login is needed to retrieve it.
The dealer wouldn’t do it unless I order a new blank EDM to use only in case my EDM was bricked during the flashing as that’s a small possibility

@@MowSow I've never used engineering mode for any software upgrades. Just normal after sales mode. Don't know if this will make a difference.

Hi! Friend of mine would like coding out PADM on his 981. That should be part of Sport-chrono optional. As far as you know is it possibile to get rid of just that funziona via piwis? Tks

You will have to poke around and see. Don't know exactly. Some reading here that might help.

@@jeffrichardsoncardiy Thank u very much... I got a lot of info. Anyway, purchasing a Piwis system is not a cheap option honestly, I'm trying to find an hardware workaround. I have inspected the sensor and found the root cause of this assembly, the nano pressure sense part of the sensing circuit pops off the printed circuit pushed by the grease compressed inside the mount. Possibly it's just a glue problem. So yes I've just been able to cheat the error detection simulating an alias output using a couple of resistor. work in progress as I want to simulate the same output value I got by the working one in idle mode. The idea is to connect a male connector in place of the one fitted in active mount, with circuit inside feeding happy signals to PADM and its watchdog circuits, then fitting cheap, standard mount with no stiffness control. Will let you know if I will be able to get rid of it. Cheers

As soon as I will have a solid solution, will post it on the relevant thread to inform the friends.
