  • I ruined my Audi s3… but it’s fixed now! Highly recommend these 034 Motorsports lowering springs to anyone with magride. They’re amazing!
    Think twice before running an adjustable spring on your own magride struts.

    Appreciate the honesty and updates man. Glad you have good things to say about the 034 springs, I had been considering the h&r sport springs which also should do about 0.75" drop

    • @DArias
      @DArias  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I like to be transparent and honest with this. I chose the wrong setup and I had to deal with it. The 034 springs are fantastic so far amazing and ride like stock possibly even better! I considered h&r too but the difference is h&r uses a progressive spring and 034 uses a linear and oem is linear so I chose to go linear. If not I would have gone h&r super sports which are a more firm but sportier ride. Either way a good choice!

    Oh man! Glad I found this follow up video. Based on your previous videos I was all psyched to order a set of GC springs for my GTI with DCC. Dodged a bullet. Ever consider pulling down your vids that endorse GC?

    If that company has any sort of dignity they would give you 100% refund. Especially if multiple shops checked it out and made sure it’s installed good but all that happened? That’s so dangerous

    • @DArias
      @DArias  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We will see. I had 2 shops and an Audi tech look at it and they couldn’t see why it would be bent and all bottomed out the car wasn’t low what so ever.

    Hey man, I just installed these springs, after installing them I think I might’ve screwed up one of my wheel speed sensors because I have a bunch of codes after installing these. I’m not saying it’s the springs obviously it’s a electrical issue. Just not sure if you have had this problem before. I have a hill start malfunction, abs malfunction, and stability, malfunction and my steering wheel feels super stiff when first taking off. Any help would be appreciated!

    Dang glad you got something on there you enjoy. I run h&r super sport springs with magride on my S3 and absolutely love them. Lowering is perfect and still very comfortable. I also ran h&r sports springs on my Jetta when I had it and it was great on there as well. On the Jetta I switched to the ECS non adjustable dampening coilovers and those were WAY to stiff and harsh, made me really miss the h&r’s lol. I think h&r or 034 are great ways to go when using mag ride. Love the content man, keep it up!

    • @DArias
      @DArias  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome! I was super close to getting the super sports too I love how low they go my only thing was I know they’re much stiffer than stock and that’s not a bad thing but I wanted a comfy ride as close to stock as possible. Ask me 5 years ago I would have wanted as low as possible but as I get older I appreciate a stock feeling haha. The mag ride is tricky tbh pairing with different springs but I’m happy. I’m glad you like your setup too!

    • @DArias

      The springs feel amazing. And from the beginning putting them on I could tell. Car is way more comfortable and takes bumps and dips in the road like stock. Actually one of my next mods is gonna be a rear sway bar 🫣

    I have a 2015 Sportback S3 and I just ordered KW V3 coilovers and 034 sway bars. I hope I don’t have any issues, I don’t have the dynamic suspension though.

      So far my ride has been excellent and has improved to be honest after it’s settled more and more. So I really want to run billstein b16s but only reason I didn’t is because then I need to spend another $400 for the cancelers and Idt it’s worth all that you know? Coilovers are obviously the best route but with mag ride makes it a bit more annoying. I’m def getting more 034 products Coming in soon!

    • @pfcottone2621

      @@DArias Do the 034 rear sway bar, by far the best bang for the buck...I did their rear end links, rear subframe inserts, dogbone as well (may do front end links soon) but the RSB was immediately and most noticeable... Yes an extra 4-500 for cancellers is alot of money for what they are. Leaning towards Bilsteins or KW V3, though not racing so may be overkill. The best research is always communicating with someone who's done it!

    What could the collar perch be hitting? That looks awful. Is there other damage on the suspension components?

    • @DArias
      @DArias  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No idea, I haven’t seen damage on any other parts. Everything is good. Springs do not have any sort of damage and the bearings of the suspension are good too. Maybe just harsh bumps bent it or it hit the beating slightly. Not sure man

    i'd really like to learn how to try a calibration on my magride

    • @DArias
      @DArias  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Apparently it really helps but it can only be done with the program ODIS from Audi. Some people claim that it can be done through vcds too but can’t confirm. Basic sly what it does when you lower the car you enter the new ride height in the program and it resets the internal bump stops so it doesn’t bottom out on bumps and basically keeps the car stable

    Dude I just bought a 2016 s3 and as far as I know it’s stock suspension with mag ride and the rear end sounds like it’s going to shoot through the roof. What do you think?

    • @DArias
      @DArias  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Possible you have a bad shock or check the rear and make sure everything is tight first. It’s possible previous owner did suspension then went back to stock before selling

    • @itxslowx96z
      @itxslowx96z ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I left my magride stock because suspension is rough on these cars doing from comfort yet sporty to slammed brutal harsh beyond belief ride quality in my friends S3 and another friend did the same thing you did with his R and they all regret it.

    Looks like a bad design to me. Saw your original video when you put them on and that spring is way to small and too much movement it probably bottomed out on the top hat. They need to refund you. Bad look on them
