@Bros FOURR Speed I have a 8y s3 any suggestions for ecu? Also curious about the 0-60 you can get without any mods and just the tune on your 8v s3... There is a few videos of my car tuned to stage 1 without any mods and they noted that the 8y s3 actually output 330 hp stock and 375 with the tune rest of car stock still! They noted 0-100 kmh was 4.58 prior and 3.89 after!
Stock I got 4.2 second 0-60 with launch control. th-cam.com/video/pUAo_udReWg/w-d-xo.html You’d probably have to talk with a local Audi tuner to you. I’d assume ECUTEK would support the car. I don’t really know much on the Audis just yet. But I’ve heard Eqilibrium tuning is good
@@BrosFOURRSpeed The numbers the s3 can output stock is just insane imo... 4.2 on the 8v stock when the claimed 0-60 by audi 4.7 but many independent tests have shown to get 4.3 on the 8v. With just that tad bit of extra power with the 8y I'd assume it's just about the same but might be .1 or .2 faster. Can't wait to see what your getting after the tune and when your rs3 comes in I'll be freaking jelly
Love your videos man, got a question. Does flashing the car void the warranty? I have a 2020 s3 and I love it but I’d love to get a little more out of it. Also when you flash to to 93 octane I’m assuming you can still use 91 gas right? Sorry for the noob questions lol
Yes and no. The dealer would have to prove the tune caused whatever issue you're experiencing. Depends on the dealer too. Some will give you a hard time and even tell you the tune caused a ball joint to wear out. So depends. If you flash to a 93 tune, you have to put 93 in. If you did the 91 tune, you could do both 91 and 93. Can always put higher octane fuel in, but never lower then what its tuned for

Yes, it'll void warranty for drivetrain 100%, maybe/maybe not for other issues. Look into a JB4 Piggy Back. It's not a tune, but instead it plugs in at the sensors and changes the sensor values, so it doesn't change the ECU, it just fools the sensors into doing other stuff. This would not void your warranty, just remove it before you go into the dealer, and you'd be gucci with the piggy back.
Nope. You have to load the tune on the car and once you do that, that Cobb is locked to your car. You'd have to fully uninstall the Cobb from your car to then load the tune to a different car. So once you sell your car, if you put things back to stock and uninstall the cobb, it will flash the car back to the stock tune. Then you can sell your cobb and it can be loaded to a new car.
On their site you just search for your car. Year, Make, Model. And it will pop up with two most likely. One for just ECU, and one that also does the transmission
I briefly mentioned that in the bevy of the vid. You can still tune the car with the basic off the shelf maps. There’s just nothing really to do with anything that doesn’t comply with emissions. So a basic tune is all you can
I'm not too sure, but check out some Audi tuning companies and see who can work on the 2023. I'm not going crazy with this car. But once our RS3 comes, I'll do custom tuning on that
i got an a3 i got a couple add ons to my car like a new muffler res delete air intake dv upgrade but would the cobb port tune adjust to those additions without messing with my car
Cobb sucks they changed there programming so your check engine light comes on so you have to go in and clear all codes before driving otherwise your looking at a check engine light and have no idea if you do have an actual issue , would avoid and go with a set it and forget it set up instead of being tethered to your access port 🤬
I've never had issues with any car I've used these on. Did you do the correct maps for the mods on your cars? correct fuel settings? Most people seem to have great experience with these
@@BrosFOURRSpeedapparently I found out there being hit with a huge fine from the feds so they changed the programming to be more compliant with EPA regulations my car was down for over a year getting a motor built it was a toy so I wasn't in a big hurry to get it done but after I updated the firmware on my access port that's when the check engine light came on , love your videos I've been looking at getting an S3 I drive a hundred miles a day going back and forth to work love our house and location so not wanting to move closer to work plus my wife only has to drive eight miles to get to her office and since she can't stand to be more than three miles away from a Kohls or a Target I'm stuck driving in the car two hours a day lol I have a built mazda3speed but want to get more of an adult car rather than the boy racer car I have now 😅
It's a good day, when there's a video of the S3 :)
Glad you liked it! Super fun car!
Loving the upgrades to this car. That color looks so good. Looking forward to more content
Thanks! Yeah this color pops!
These tips are helpful for my own car bro.
Oh nice! Glad to help!
Audi S3 are awesome, love the wide selection of performance aftermarket parts available to buy if you want to do modding.
Couldn't agree more! Great little car!
Agreed, the overall tunability, and aftermarket for support for Audi's is a luxury in itself.
Modern day hot rodding.
Pretty much!

could you use someones cobb access port to get the tune intead of having to purchase an access port?

Is this recommended for all ECU tunes, that is to drive it slowly at first? Thinking of getting the Unitronics Stage 1+….
I generally slowing ease into it just to help let things reset. Do a few drive cycles and gradually push the car more.
How do I know what cobb access port to get? I see such a wide variety on their site for a wide variety of price ranges.
On their site you just search for your car. Year, Make, Model. And it will pop up with two most likely. One for just ECU, and one that also does the transmission
Does a Cobb port void warranty
Technically. The dealer would definitely blame the tune if anything powertrain related happened on your car
Do you still have a warranty with the tune installed?
Depends on the dealer. However this car is out of warranty anyways
I thought the Cobb tuner was dead????? Didn’t the green speed update hurt it’s ability to tune cars

Yeah running the off the shelf maps should be fine for basic bolt ons. They should have maps specific for those mods too
Heaps of fun
