- Many folks shy away from Spanish Mackerel. Even more will say they want me to remove the skin before they will take it. We decided to try a Taste Test Catch & Cook for the "Skin vs. No Skin" Challenge. You need to try it to decide for yourself.

I love the Spanish Mackerel when cooked like this . I get the skin is crispy and very edible. I prefer skin off but this was a great comparison!
Thanks for the feedback. There are many people that claim to not like Mackerel, but have never tried it. But once I can get people to try it, they do like it.
Besides the additional crunch, any flavor difference between the two??
No difference in taste. Thanks for asking, It seems everyone has a different idea of what they prefer however.
