I raced my 2021 Dodge Challenger 1320 in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago and my air intake temp hit 138° and I ended up running .2 slower in the 1/4 mile. I was hot lapping though and not allowing the car to cool between runs. It was my first time racing it and my goal was to get as much practice as possible. I ordered this kit as soon as I got home! I know it won't make the car any faster because the stock 6.4 won't pull more air than a stock filter & airbox already provide, they are pretty evenly match, however, I am hoping that by keeping the intake temps down it won't slow down as much on hot track days. We'll soon see! Besides, I hate that the headlight air intakes are blocked/fake from the factory; let the air in!

The hearlight air duct, work best when car is moving.. car also gets air from bottom of the filter box.
Its 10* cooler difference in my RT.

I'm confused about why don't people just use a circle bit and cut the hole in the stock lower box and attach a flex tube to the hole. Then you can cut it to grab air anywhere up front. 🤔🤷♂️
@@bobmcglasson8221 personally I paid the 120$ for a box just so I can stop explaining how my intake headlights aren't actually intakes. Its also just kinda cool and MIGHT lower intake temps on hot days.
the hellcat box is larger in volume which helps a lot as well

Your right, one is easy but don't waste your time on the other side. I just pried off the cap once the easy side was removed. Using my fingers took 2 seconds.

@@Gonin60 I did it 8 days ago and haven't had time to test the Scat Pack. My daily car is a 2012 5.7L Manual R/T and is just stock. Keep up the good videos👍

What did you end up doing about the gap when connecting the tube? Did you add weather stripping to the inside of the tube for a better fit?
ThatMetalRocker I tried the weather stripping and it didn’t do what I wanted it to do. I actually played around more with the connector tube and lower air box and got a better fit. Had it on for a couple months and no issues. Definitely recommend this mod.

It’s been awhile since I bought this but do your research. A lot of folks order them from eBay and they don’t fit.
Not sure if you still have the scatpak but from research look into getting a different head gasket 😉 you will thank me later 💙👍

No noticable gain, ppl just buy it because of the logo and it's on hellcats
@@virusworld3730 well I noticed lots power but then again I also did exhaust full and reduced battery weight the exhaust freed up weight too so but I did notice a little right after I did the filter only it def ran better and sounded beffier

@@Gonin60 l just finished doing mine yesterday. I think people should just bite the bullit and take out the five screws on the light fixture and pull it out far enough to remove the pesky screws. Im not so sure the return on the $220 spent to do the modification is worth the results. Going down the hyway there might be 2 or 3 degrees differance between the stock and modded, however when you step hard on the gas you can watch the air temp come much closer to ambient air temp. Im not sure if it makes more power though, maybe 2 or 3 horsepower. Dont you think?
