  • Video install of the Air Catcher headlamp mod on a 2020 Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack. This makes the stock Air Catcher headlamps (that they call out on the window sticker) actually functional instead of just aesthetic.
Parts purchased from Steve White Motors on ebay:

Just a FYI. Took me 2 minutes to get screws out with my tool kit. Simply a T-10 head on the same rachet used for top screws. I just used with adapter for heads. Figured i would comment because i see people saying it was a pain for them. Whole lower box switch took maybe 10 minutes total.

For sure. If I had bothered to find my t-10 first it would've gone much better lol. Still a really easy mod

Do you have the part numbers? There is two different versions of the duct tube... want to make sure i get the one you have for the lighted air catchers.

The grommet in the front isn't difficult to get out. No need to shove an allen wrench or screw driver in it and force it out, its 2 pieces. Just push the center bushing up from the bottom which will allow the grommet to compress as you pull it out the slot. I also hate to be critical as your video is somewhat informative. I try to take the mechanical ability of the performer into consideration. The torx was'nt put there to inconvenience anyone, its there because there must've been an issue with the cap coming loose. Dodge won't spend the money on hardware or added features (the screw holes) to a part just to annoy you.

They sell a different part for the charger. I believe it is a more involved process to install though. The airbox would be the same I think, but the tube is different

    • @VanquishedAgain

I actually just checked the filter after driving about 500 miles and it looked fairly clean still. I live in Florida (no road salt/sand) and I did this after pollen season so that will be the real tell but so far so good. The air box has a big opening at the bottom so the larger stuff (if anything) likely just falls to the bottom of the bumper.

    • @VanquishedAgain

No. It lowers the intake temp which theoretically makes it more powerful and you can hear the suction when you're stopped and push the pedal.
I didn't expect it to make a difference though. The car already has a cold air intake

I don't see why not. Just make sure you have the air catcher headlight and a closed airbox. If you already have a ram air style cone filter hour airbox might already have the opening connected. You can go to the part on eBay and message Steve white and they'll let you know if it fits. www.ebay.com/itm/333647616418
