Sudbury I've rode the Walden Trails and they're well signed and fun! Quebec is great all I have rode was around Mt. St. Anne and holy moly it has hard tech. Similarish to SSM, but just steeper, more kms, features, etc. Better. Haha.
@@blaney yeah, even when I snowboard I notice mount st anne yes the hardest place I've ridden in. I was there last summer with Eva. We drove and I noticed her staring at the mountain. She looks at me and ask "how long do you think it will take us to come down?" I was like she gonna be hard core! Oh a side we went to horseshoe yeaterday. Her first taste of downhill. The first runs were a bit rough. Then she started to call the shots after lunch. ;)
Great video Tyler! Spoke to the boys about organizing a road trip out and back to Sault Ste Marie from the city later this summer before finishing the vid haha Keep the adventures going!
Quebec is definately way out in front at this time. I would still go there at this time. But in a few years, Algoma could well on it's way after the 500,000 grant money gets spent.
I knew there was some gold in those hills when I drove thru. Cool to see thx. And lol, why do bikers say DH instead of down hill it saves 0 time haha! Wth
Its a tough call! The first set of trails (Bellvue) would be better on the enduro but the second set of trail (Hiawatha) would be better on the trail bike. You'll have fun either way!
Ontario as a hole for riding in underrated like Cornwall Ontario as good riding but in my opinion there is one province that can even give bc. A run for its money and that is Quebec if u haven’t been it’s definitely some where ever mtb rider in Canada needs to visit last time I checked they had more trials then Vancouver I think one the best places there is also a massive water park as well I was 12 can’t remember the name of it but there is a bunch different trails and different parts of Quebec
Yup Quebec is amazing. Thats why I moved there. I dunno about Quebec City having more trails than Vancouver tho. Other thing is trails in Vancouver are free. Quebec trails are generally 75 dollars per year per trail network. But, both places are amazing in there own way.
Great video man!Im in a pretty confused time right know because I really don’t know if I should by a downhill bike or a trail! What made you get a trail bike after the downhill?
Hey Sean, I'm just not really anywhere near a bike park. It's 2 hours to Blue MTN Bike Park and I can easily ride that place on a hardtail. If you live close to a big bike park like Whistler, it would probably be a good idea to get a DH.
Ontario traditionally hasn't been very keen on MTB trails. The best trails other provinces like British Columbia and Quebec. But, these new trails in Ontario might change the game in this province!
Yeah, Bentonville is weird. Another TH-camr did a breakdown on the cost per KM and I think was something like $75,000 (USD) per KM of trail built. That seems rather outlandish to me considering what Durham was able to do with $20,000.
Looks awesome man! If you're looking for more hidden gems in northern Ontario, you have to check out Sudbury! DM me and I'll show ya around some Sudbury Singletrack.

Lol this past winter I was snowboarding in tremblant going through some glades. In middle of it two guys just chilling. Snow pile to beer cold and special smokes to themselves.... happy. Daughter not with me on that trip .
Aww man there's some other lines at bellview that are also good
Yeah my friends have been sending them over to me. It looks like I took the easiest trail haha.
Beautiful
Agreed!
Family oriented trails? What was the trail system head called?
Yup a whole chunk of them! The trail system is at Hiawatha Highlands. He rode the Crystal Creek Trails. We have a family Strider bike loop and some great beginner loops. Theres a map available below. Please reach out to the Sault Cycling Club if you have any questions! We would love to help you have a blast!! :-)

@@blaney thank. I checked it out on trail forks. Looks good. The first plan was to go to Quebec bit with covid out..... so I took up north. Lost of trail systems. Might take a few days break up the drive stop a few places. But hard getting organized. Maybe in august
Stop at Killarney and hike "The Crack"!
@@nostr8ghtlinzs596 North Bay has some fun stuff, I rode in the Northish stuff where it was kind of from some guys backyard. But he was super hospitable and hooked me up with a good route.
Then she started to call the shots after lunch. ;)
If u ever head to timmins look me up. Dave webb
Great looking stuff there! Might have to road trip up from VT sometime this summer. How far from the VT/CAN border?
11hrs from Highgate Springs
Yup it's about 11 hours. There is some great stuff in Quebec if you want to go some place closer
Great video! What tires are you running? Do you have a favourite combo?
I have Butchers from Specialized. They aren't bad. But when they wear out I will switch to Michellin's for sure!
I love your vids and I live in Ontario Pinedale
Nice! Where is Pinedale? I'm pretty familiar with most of Ontario but I can't pinpoint it?
@@GoodTrails in Burlington new street and Appleby
Maybe a Canadian Outerbike some day? :)
Possibly!
might have to move there
do it!
@@GoodTrails once i’m done school
Are E-Mountain bikes allowed do you know?
On bee sting yes but i dont know qbout hiawatha
That’s badass bro 🤙🏻
Thanks dude!
Great video Tyler! Spoke to the boys about organizing a road trip out and back to Sault Ste Marie from the city later this summer before finishing the vid haha
Keep the adventures going!
Nice!! You should look at the Crank the Sheild (CTS) route. It's a 3 day trail through the MTNs, it looks awesome!
Give the homies at Vélorution bike shop a shout if you want any info on routes and rides!!
Awesome riding! I had no idea we had this in Ontario. Between northern Ontario and Quebec which is more worth the drive?
even if you can find similar terrain in Northern Ontario it's not developed (at least yet) like Quebec.
Quebec is definately way out in front at this time. I would still go there at this time. But in a few years, Algoma could well on it's way after the 500,000 grant money gets spent.
Agreed. Algoma is on it's way tho. Hiawatha is very well developed and it's growing every year.
I knew there was some gold in those hills when I drove thru. Cool to see thx. And lol, why do bikers say DH instead of down hill it saves 0 time haha! Wth
Its such a beauty drive! Saying DH is cooler!
Which bike would you recommend taking there a 140/120mm trail bike or a 170/165mm enduro bike?
No bears to worry about ?
Yes, there are black bears and there are also moose. But, I didn't see any
pleaseee set you go pro on 2k 60 fps this is kinda hard to watch, 4k is for cinematic takes
GoPro colour screwed this one up. I should have had it on Protune Flat
Great video man!Im in a pretty confused time right know because I really don’t know if I should by a downhill bike or a trail! What made you get a trail bike after the downhill?
Hey Sean,
I'm just not really anywhere near a bike park. It's 2 hours to Blue MTN Bike Park and I can easily ride that place on a hardtail. If you live close to a big bike park like Whistler, it would probably be a good idea to get a DH.
Good Trails Thank you very much! Really helpful!! I’m 100% I’m getting an enduro since the bike parks are far from me and I’m going to local trails!
Good call! That's a good middle ground.
Good Trails Thank you very much!!
Elliot Lake Trails?
Nope, Bellevue
Good to know there's trails in the Sue! The only time I've been to that city it was so sketch I vowed to never return hahah
I wish authorities in Australia were as keen on building trails like you have in Canada 😒
Ontario traditionally hasn't been very keen on MTB trails. The best trails other provinces like British Columbia and Quebec. But, these new trails in Ontario might change the game in this province!
Oui Oui!
thank u
You're welcome
Which company will be investing?
Federal government
Sault St Marie:
"We are pledging half a million dollars towards mtb trails!"
Bentonville:
**laughs** "puny mortals"
The difference between private funding and public funding
Yeah, Bentonville is weird. Another TH-camr did a breakdown on the cost per KM and I think was something like $75,000 (USD) per KM of trail built. That seems rather outlandish to me considering what Durham was able to do with $20,000.
Good Trails what did Durham build? Great video btw. Problem is Quebec City has some of the best trails in the world with a similar drive from the GTA.
Durham has a yuuuge trail network just east of Uxbridge. Yeah, I can't wait to go back to QC! I am hoping to go back this year
@@GoodTrails pretty sure theres a new double black in the works too!
Edit: just checked, it's called "skin and bones"
Rock trails are the best !
Yeah buddy! I agree
Looks awesome man! If you're looking for more hidden gems in northern Ontario, you have to check out Sudbury! DM me and I'll show ya around some Sudbury Singletrack.
Will do! I have had a few people from Sudbury reach out, apparently Capreol is good too. I also want to hit up North Bay!
Come to Sudbury! we have awesome trails here too!
I was there this past summer! Had a great time
Awesome...I built most of them...We have new stuff coming up for next year!
I just spent some time on the Laurentian trail I just about died but it was beautiful
